Excellent choice of a place to stay that was easy to get to all of the main areas. It was very close to the Rialto bridge and ferry stop so getting to and from the airport was easy. You could find all stores that you needed within steps, groceries, clothes, and souvenirs. Great places to eat nearby. Would stay there again!

A clearer sign of the hotel is needed. The font used with the sign was hard to read. Thus the hotel was a little difficult to find as it is down a small side street. However the location of La Scala was great!!!

I couldn't be happier with my experience at this property! The staff truly went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect. A special shoutout to Jo, who was absolutely incredible. I had forgotten my wallet in my room, and Jo not only called to inform me but also personally walked me—carrying my luggage—just to help me catch my flight in time. It's rare to come across such genuine kindness and care. Thank you, Jo, and the rest of the amazing team. Highly recommend this place for its exceptional service!

The hotel has a terrific location. It's only about a four-or five-minute walk from the Grand Canal and Realto ferry drop-off next to the Realto Bridge, and a ten-minute walk to Piazza San Marco. The location puts it just far enough from the hustle and bustle of the tourist area yet close to the action there. The hotel is also almost surrounded by good restaurants and shops within a two-to-five-minute walk. The hotel rooms are small, but clean and comfortable. If you don't like stairs, we did, there is a nice elevator. The hotel does not serve any breakfast, but that was fine. We enjoyed walking a short distance each morning to find a pastry shop or cafe. The desk clerk who checked us in on the night of September 18, 2024, was extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. All the clerks were terrific. If you had a question, they had an answer.

Palazzo La Scala is a relatively small hotel ideally located down a side street just 2 minutes from Rialto ferry/water bus stop. The chap at reception was extremely friendly, chatty & knowledgeable about everything. The elevator is also right round the corner from reception which is handy. The room was extremely clean, surprisingly comfortable & really quiet, even with the window open. There is also an excellent shop at the boat stop too & of course there are HUNDREDS of different places to eat nearby, for whatever you're after. It's also only a 5 minute walk from St Marks square with the place & cathedral. I was actually really impressed with the place & would definitely consider staying again

Cristian and other staff members were really helpful and gave us some good tips for what to see and where to go. The location was brilliant and a little out the way from the main street in a quiet alley. It was comfortable and very cosy, we weren't cold at all! It was fine for the short stay we had.

The room was tiny but this was fine as we weren't in it very much. The walls are quite thin and so we could often hear noise from the streets outside or from neighbouring rooms, which wasn't great when you're trying to get to sleep.

it’s very authentic, comfortable with friendly staff. there’s a fridge and safe in the room, comfortable bed. Fabiano was very helpful and made sure I had a map so I could find my way back :)

there is no water in the room and they don’t offer breakfast/supper but being so close to everything it’s easy to step out and bring what you need to the room

As soon as I arrived at the hotel the staff was very friendly and helpful, There's stairs or elevator and the room was small but very cozy and clean, Everything you can expect from a hotel in Venice. Location is very difficult to beat as it is in the centre. I would only suggest to show a photo of the street as it is a tiny bit hidden and the sign its not big but it is to expect and probably should stay like this, is perfect.

We were welcomed to the hotel by Fabiano; providing excellent customer service. During our stay he was able to recommend various ristorante and osteria away from the usual tourist traps. The hotel is conveniently located between Rialto and San Marco. Our twin room was a good size equipped with robe, small dining set and bar refrigerator which allowed us to purchase some yogurt and fruit for breakfast from the nearby Despar opposite the Rialto vaporetto stops. The windows open and are shuttered to keep out the noise from the vendors and many tourists navigating the streets below. The bathroom was clean and in good working order with some toiletries provided. The bathroom also had an exhaust fan - which may seem an odd thing to mention in a review but having entered my 6th week of travel these appear to be a rarity in bathrooms across both France & Italy.

The room is in a need of some TLC; repaint. The lighting was very dim with one wall fitting was broken.

We were greeted and shown our room. Given a map of the areas, directions to everything we needed. Everything was great. The greeter/front desk concierge - his name escapes me - Flavio or Fabbio - I wish I could remember his exact name was extremely helpful and knowledgeable.

Room was small but this is to be expected in Europe; blow dryer in room did not work well. Other than that, no issues to speak of.

The staff was very helpful, the location was perfect, the room was very clean and the AC worked perfectly. WiFi worked very well as well.

The only uncomfortable thing to me was the size of the room. In contrast with the pictures, it was really really small. So, expect that. But it was not an issue, as you want to be on the streets in Venice, you don't come to this wonderland and stay locked in the room))
