We left a previous hotel In Abano Terme two nights early because it was so awful, and booked this last minute to check in the next day for two nights. From start to finish the Hotel al Codega was really lovely. It is in a central but quiet location, set in it's own courtyard, very easy to find. The staff are fantastic, extremely helpful and polite and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The room was clean and comfortable, and although on the smaller side, there was ample room for two guests. The breakfast was lovely, fresh and plenty of choice of both hot and cold, sweet and savoury items with delicious coffee and a selection of fruit juices. We couldn't have asked for anything more for our stay at an extremely reasonable price.

The hotel provided all the necessary amenities, and the staff were helpful and friendly. However, there was one significant issue with the room. Unfortunately, the air conditioning was not working properly during my stay. Despite informing the reception, they explained that it was centrally controlled and could not be adjusted individually. As a result, the room temperature was uncomfortably high, especially given the hot weather at the time. The only solution offered was a fan, which helped a little but was not sufficient. Overall, while the hotel itself was great and the staff were accommodating, the lack of control over the room temperature was disappointing and affected my experience.

A really Excellent facility. Clean, comfortable, great staff, great breakfast, great location (5 min. walk from St. Marks Square, 15 min. walk from Water Taxi)

More funny than upsetting. Upon checking out, I was informed I owed €13.50 for city tax. I reached in my bag and saw I only had €13.42. I sheepishly asked them to cover the other €0.08 for me, as I had no Euros left. The reception clerk scooped up the €0.42 with her hand, handed it back to me, and said, "You keep that, we'll add €0.50 on to your room bill." I just half-laughed and said, "that's fine." And, it was added to my final bill. I thought it was incredibly tacky, rude and petty. (this one incident had zero effect on the Hotels final rating by me)

Breakfast was amazing! Staff was excellent! Very cute and spacious. The location was AMAZING. It seemed like we were a 10 minute walk from everything. It was so fun to get lost in the alleys. Loved it.

Be careful with pickpockets. We were followed into the courtyard and targeted but I was able to thwart their attempt! Just be SUPER mindful & vigilant. Staff was very apologetic and said it’s very rare that they follow into the courtyard/lobby. Also mosquitos in Venice were vicious.

We stayed on the 4th floor (there is a lift). We had a very nice, spacious, and clean room. The location is perfect—just seconds away from Piazza San Marco, the Rialto Bridge, and the Grand Canal. It was easy to return to the room during the day, have a rest, and then continue walking through the streets. And the breakfast—breakfast was amazing. The staff was really nice and helpful. Nothing was problem for them- they helped with everything.

The only small issue was the air conditioning. It’s not possible to set it to an exact temperature. We solved it by turning it off in the bedroom and leaving it on in the hallway. That way, it was comfortable for us.

The hotel was tucked away in a quiet courtyard yet so central. The staff were very helpful. The room was lovely and shower excellent. The breakfast has lots of choice and was well presented tasty and plentiful. The hotel is not easy to find so do plan before arrival. There is a sister hotel around the corner who kindly directed us after asking a couple of people enroute who did not know. Arrival by waterbus from the airport is a good price and easy. We would not have wanted to walk from the train station as Venice is a very busy place.

Being tricky to find, but this keeps it a quiet place so once you do find it all is good!

Beautiful hotel in a pretty, quiet courtyard. Excellent location - a short walk to both Rialto and .S.Marco vaporetto stops and St Marks square, Doge Palace, restaurants and a supermarket. . Friendly and efficient staff. Rooms elegant, neat, clean and comfortable. Scrumptious breakfast. A most enjoyable stay.

Finding the hotel was frustrating and Google maps was not accurate. When phoning the hotel they suggested to look for Hotel Serenmissima which is just around the corner which was most helpful. The TV is located behind a dark reflective mirror in a cupboard which made viewing impossible (double).. coffee/tea making facilities in the room would have been appreciated.

The staff was great. The room was beautiful and a nice size. Breakfast was a wide variety of very good food and offered different foods every day. It was very close to the Rialto bridge and to St Mark’s square. Great location. It had an elevator where many other properties did not.

Nothing. It was a perfect location. But was really hard to find the first day. The hidden location and courtyard ended to being my favorite thing about the property

Wonderful hotel with excellent location between San Marco and Rialto. When getting booking confirmation, the concierge is sending instructions on how to reach the hotel and a map marked with the best way to take from the waterway stations near Rialto and near San Marco which helps a lot! There is no bridge to go over when arriving after a long flight and a bus ride AND carrying the baggage with you.

The location, the extremely clean room, the staff, the breakfast.

This is my second time in Venice and the 3rd hotel, and by far, this is the best hotel. 1- The staff are friendly especially Michelle and his female colleague, unfortunately I didn’t catch her name. 2- breakfast was very good and contains a various selection of food and drinks. 3- A very quiet hotel and area, especially with the morning atmosphere, it was lovely. 4- The room was spacious and it contains a closet/wardrobe which wasn’t available in the photos posted in booking. 5- Great location and close to the transportation and the attractions.
