The room was excellent and spacious, location in the town area made it easier to move around for food options and casual shopping without having to take much public transport! It was a very comfortable stay!

The TV in the rooms are not as dynamic in a way that Apple devices are not able to screen mirror - it is only available for android or Samsung products, which was abit of a downer as we were using Apple devices and we were hoping to be able to screen mirror some shows on the TV.

Clean room, great services by the staffs there. Had the pleasure of being attended by Mr Dragon who was polite and professional in serving us. Staffs at Carousel also deserves to be mentioned by giving us a great service during our dinner there on 30th April. They were very busy given that buffets are opened up again on that day but they make every effort to attend to my requests. Food is fantastic there as well. Compliments to the chefs

Room too near to near to main road, able to hear traffic zooming by when trying to rest. Toilet shower head holder was spoilt and room is too cold even when the room air con is switch off during the night when sleeping.

location was ideal when it's on the very outskirt of Orchard road. Love the breakfast spread and the friendly reception. As a local, we rarely come across a local hotel that will not receive us differently and give better reception to foreigners. Highly recommended for any locals who would want a warm reception during your staycation. Hot water in shower is also prompt and flooring is not slippery when wet. Good for elders. Huge loading bay in front of hotel for coaches. Public bus stop right smack in front of hotel for savvy travellers a plus. Subway is some walk away but not very far. Safety to walk to and fro hotel even late at night. Really nice room generally. My family loves it.

Very unfriendly location for smokers in the hotel's smoking area. If there's a downpour, get ready to receive a cold turkey or risk being fined to smoke under the shelter. If you need a convenience store, there is none within immediate distance too. If there is a corner within the hotel selling some general goods or minimally a vending machine will be good. Screaming kids dashing across at the lobby is also another problem. If this is a 3-star hotel I'd understand..... I saw kids lying on the floor kicking and rolling with no one stopping them. If we step on them, whose fault would that be? Us? The kid's parents? or the hotel?

Location, location, location! This hotel is prime location, just a stones throw from Orchard Rd, a 3 min walk from Orchard MRT, 10 min walk from Newton Circus. Doesn’t get any better than that. The staff are wonderful - Aiman, Najeeb and Jeffrey in particular. They take the time to learn guests names and be very attentive to needs. The breakfast at Carousel is absolutely delicious, and can cater to both picky eaters and dietary requirements (such as gluten free / coeliac)

A long time ago RPS used to offer 1 x double bed + 2 x single beds in a room. I would love if this could come back!

I stayed at the Royal Plaza on Scotts for a duration of 5 nights. The room I had was spacious, and the bed was large and comfortable. The concierge staff were helpful and courteous. The breakfast options were diverse and all the cuisine was halal, which was excellent.

The staff members at breakfast were not very welcoming. They repeatedly gave reminders in an impolite manner to leave the restaurant by 10 am. There was a service member at the breakfast gate who prohibited guests from wearing hotel slippers. Their tone was brusque and resembled a military organisation rather than a hotel. Staff members should undergo training to improve their interactions with guests.

Very good buffet breakfast with a large selection of different styles of dishes. There was so much choice, that even for our 12 day stay, we were not bored by what was on offer. The self selection of food items made the experience interesting and efficient. The coffee making machines brewed excellent coffee with many options quickly and obviated the need to wait for service. The room and hotel ambient temperature was consistently and pleasantly cool.

The bathroom contains all that is required and has a good shower, but we found the space rather smaller than average for this class of hotel. No face cloths of moisturizer are provided.

We love the friendliness of Front Office staff who checked us in and Aiman & Nathan from the bell service. Aiman was proactive, friendly and very helpful. He delivered service beyond expectations. Special thanks to Calvin who accomodated to the Birthday Boy's request for late check out. Carousel had a nice breakfast spread and food is delicious. The seating area is spacious and staff are attentive and friendly. The staff at the lobby are pleasant and always ready to help.

The TV channels are very limited to Free to Air and News only. Gym looks dated and small. Pool was just average and lift carpark was undergoing reno and no alternatives but to take 4-5 flights of stairs. Inconvenient for elderly who are driving as need to climb up & down 4-5 flights of stairs to get to the car. We waited very long for bell service upon check out and ended up bringing the luggages on our own to the lift lobby.

Its always a pleasure to be staying in RP. My last visit was prior to the pandemic Check in was seamless, within 10 minutes of arrival, we were already in our room. The staff was professional and very helpful. Of course, the added value is the location, which is smack in the middle of Orchard, as well as the value considering the location.

Room I'd say felt smaller then prior to RP's renovations (maybe the size was the same, but it just "felt smaller" than I remember it), but I'm not complaining considering the price and location, as well as the fact that we only need the room to rest and sleep as we were mostly out throughout the day for sightseeing. Major negative was the view, which was a neighbouring flat/condo.

The breakfast is good, a lot of different food to choose from. The location is also very good, there are multiple MTR stations nearby, and if you need any shopping it is just 100 meters away. Multiple food courts around the closest road crossing. The bed is convenient and the internet is fine.

The bathroom isn't very convenient, and it's quite dark. No robes available, no basic tableware such as spoons. After 10 pm in room dining options are pathetic. Room cleanliness was questionable, we've found hair on the floor and the sink wasn't very clean
