We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Villa Fontaine Shiodome during our family trip to Tokyo! The location of the hotel was excellent, within walking distance to the Ginza area and easy to navigate. It’s conveniently accessible to the Toei-Asakusa, Oedo, and JR Yamanote train lines. We especially appreciated how quiet and peaceful it was walking back to the hotel after a long day, without having to navigate through crowded areas. Our room was well set up for our family of three. The size was decent, comfortably accommodating three large suitcases, a queen-sized bed, and a sofa bed. It felt cozy and functional for our needs. The breakfast was enjoyable, offering a great variety of Western and Japanese food choices. We particularly loved the complimentary drinks during happy hour—it was a nice touch that we all appreciated! The staff at the lobby, especially the female staff members, were very helpful and knowledgeable. The check-in and check-out processes were smooth and efficient. They also assisted us with luggage transfer to the airport through the Airporter service, which made our departure much easier. Overall, we were very happy with our stay at Hotel Villa Fontaine Grand Tokyo-Shiodome. It was a perfect base for our family’s Tokyo adventure, and we would highly recommend it!

Very attractive lobby and attentive staff. I liked that they delivered our luggage to our room while we awaited our check in time. I also liked the laundry facilities with the combined dryer/laundry machine and that Suica was accepted as payment. I also liked the toiletries and sundries and supplies that were easily accessible in the lobby.
The rooms are very small and cramped. There is no closet to hang clothes but there is a rack with 5-6 hangers against the wall. In terms of location we wish there were more signs in the subway exits pointing us to where the hotel was, as it was confusing trying to find it when we exited the station. Also there could be more signs from the hotel leading to the various stations that were close by.

The room was very spacious, clean and had good facilities available. Location was the star of the show, having very easy access to multiple train stations, including full covered access to Shiodome station (very nice to have in winter!) but it was still much quieter than other parts of Tokyo that are this central. Laundry facilities, while a little pricey, were easy to use. Several convenience stores less than a 5 minute walk away and many good food and drink options within 20 minutes. The bed was VERY comfortable and the staff was very helpful, especially since I had to make some slightly complicated plans with them for luggage delivery to my next stay. The free drinks in the lobby at certain hours was also very nice with a good selection.
The room I was in was at the very end of the hall on the eastern side and there are only elevators on the western side, meaning it was actually quite a bit of a walk to reach the room. Just worth keeping in mind if you have any mobility issues so you can request a room on the western or southern side. Also, the room I was in had essentially no natural light as it faced inwards to the atrium above the lobby. Didn't really bother me as I spent pretty much every sunlight hour exploring Tokyo, but also worth noting in case you are likely to spend more time in the room.

The property was really good located, the staff and the services was absolutely amazing ! We really enjoy our stay and we highly recommend this location for staying in Tokyo. In addition the place is really quiet and next to the subway so it’s really easy to move all around the city. Of course the breakfast was for me the best thing of the stay, good choice and good food and we really enjoyed to discover the Japanese breakfast style ! The price is really correct for that quality of service.
For us there was just a little problem in the bathroom but nothing really alarming, the ceiling wasn’t enough high for us and the bathroom was also a bit small for three people.

We liked underground to subway and trains. Lots of complimentary toiletries.. Complimentary Happy hour between 5 to 9 but time never worked for us and we didn’t get to go. Elevator was very quick so not much wait.
Since transportation was all underground, we did not see much of the area but it didn’t look like there were any restaurants for late dinner - we ended up buying from Lawson a few times . It is more of a commercial area. Found this hotel is expensive when only getting room cleaned after 3 days (but you can pick request days otherwise just towels and getting rid of garbage). The bed was a little too firm and pillows soft.

It is clean. I booked deluxe room and it was spacious. Nice view too. Breakfast was okay but it is still good. The breakfast is always the same from day to day. Nothing changed. The service is good. The hotel is near shiodome station and shimbashi station (yamanote line) which is close to tokyo station.
Breakfast is the same every day. Only 1 variance of egg, you cant have other type of egg (e.g. omelette, scramble egg etc.). It is still good breakfast with limited options. Some staff can barely speak english. I was asking simple question to reaffirm about drinkable water in the room and the staff was barely able to answer it, instead suggesting me to buy the bottle water in the vending machine. Then the other guy was helping him to explain to me. The hotel is apparently located in business area of Tokyo, so it is hard to find nearby local food.

1. Amazing location. Shiodome Station is connected to the hotel. Shimbashi Station is only a 5 min walk away via the bridge system (= no traffic lights snd amazing views) and is a major station where trains and metros go to every major part of town. We felt that we could travel to every site we wanted easily 2. Incredible staff. They are very welcoming, helpful, respectful and very available. 3. Facility wise, it feels top-tier. The building feels futuristic. The rooms have great AC and ventilation and are very clean. I would recommend this hotel to every person staying in Tokyo.

The staff is very kind and helpful. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The happy hour is a fun thing to have and the whole area is very good looking and fun to be at. Close to a special clock exhibition that has a show every hour.
The location is a bit far if you are coming from major city locations like Tokyo station or Shibuya/Shinjuku. The closest metro station is not a primary one so you'll have to switch. Otherwise it's about 10 minutes walk and you have to go over a bridge and down from it which can be tricky (it's a whole complex). Also we had a problem with the bidet which leaked, they sent a repairman to fix it but it still leaked... since it wasn't in much use we didn't bother to tell them again...

I have used this hotel for almost 15 years during visits to Tokyo. It is well located. The breakfast is reliably good. Unfortunately, the large numbers of tourists now visiting Japan has impacted service speed at this hotel and that has introduce delays with breakfast.
I was not happy to be given the most distant room from Reception, on the 10th floor and as far as it is possible to drag suitcases. I suspect that the hotel records system does not recognise regular visitors, or if it does, it does not lead to "Welcome Back" commentary and support (as I have experienced at other hotels in Japan). The biggest failing though is to be given a Superior room with a King size bed that is jammed against the wall, making getting in and out difficult. Not smart, but not uncommon in Japan.

The hotel is located very conveniently, arriving from NRT. KS line/Asakusa stops at Shimbashi Station and from there it's a 5 min walk. Shiodome Station is right in front of the hotel which makes it easy to be reached from HND. The hotel is very clean and so are the rooms. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are really small, the 3 of us plus the bags filled the room. Rooms do not have a lot of storage space, no closet only one clothes rail and a few hangers. As I was expecting this we had our clothes in panniers/ cloth bags. Between 16:00 and 19:00 they offer complementary drinks (alcohol mostly) in the lobby. The area, like most of TYO, offers shopping and dining. Hotel is in walking distance to Ginza.
the "fitness" room is located next to the smoking room and offers basic equipment. the treadmill was broken during our 8 days stay.
