Hamamatsucho is a bit of an interesting neighborhood - it's mostly businesses and salarymen you'll find here rather than a lot of touristy type of attractions, so expect busy evenings, lots of bars and locals, and truthfully not nearly as much English as you might be used to in Shinjuku or elsewhere. That being said, the location is right by the Hamamatsucho train station, which provides direct monorail access to Haneda Airport in addition to the JR lines. Very convenient! Hotel staff spoke great English and were very polite and nice. The lobby has a little rack of amenities you can pick out for your room including hair ties, bath salts, face masks which was super nice. This also includes a pillow! PLEASE TAKE A PILLOW (see below). They have a fun system where they stick magnets on your door to indicate if you're checking out or need cleaning for the day, and if they have a message for you they'll stick a magnet with your room number in the elevator (this is how I was notified of our takkyubin delivery). There was an on-site laundry which I really appreciated too! The dryer, like most Japanese driers, is pretty weak, so expect a couple of hours to dry and for your laundry to still be slightly damp at the end.

Like literally every other comment made here says, the pillow provided in the room is like sleeping on a boulder. It is stunningly hard. Please make sure to grab another one from the lobby on your way up. Even by Tokyo standards the room is quite small. For a solo traveler this is probably no problem, but it can be a little tight for two.

Staff was nice and helpful. My room was clean and quiet. Both bedroom and bathroom were relatively small, but ok for one person (there was room to keep a medium sized luggage open). Toiletries and other amenities, along with the welcome drinks were a nice extra touch. I have not tried breakfast. Washing machine and thumble dryer were working fine. Location was great, easy to reach from Haneda, but also next to both JR and Tokyo metro stations, so you could easily move around the city.

The bed was too hard for my liking. The pillow provided was also really hard, but you could choose a second one next to the reception.

Good location, especially if you are planning to go to Haneda as the monorail is right there. Staff are very friendly and helpful. You can ask for disposable utensils at the front desk and grab any amenities near there as well including a selection of pillows. Laundry available on the 2nd floor and it's not complicated to use. They also give you fresh towels and a water bottle each day at your door if you do not opt for room cleaning. I like that there was a window facing the street that was not frosted so I could actually look outside.

The pillows were not comfortable, even after I grabbed an extra one. The sheet on the blanket kept falling off.

The room felt spacious compared to rooms in similar, business-class hotels in Tokyo. I also appreciated the amenities/toiletries available in the lobby (the pajamas in particular are much nicer than the ones at other hotels). And the location was super convenient: close to multiple train lines, as well as to Tokyo Tower, Ginza, and Tsukiji. The staff were great too: after check-out, they helpfully held on to my luggage for a few hours until it was time to leave for my flight. Perfect place to stay for my last two days in Japan.

The wi-fi was spotty at times, and the pillow provided on the bed was kind of weird (even though there are also pillows available in the lobby). The mattress itself was rather stiff, so the whole set up felt designed for back sleepers, and not great for stomach sleepers. The most annoying thing was that the wind whistled through the window the whole night, as if there wasn't any kind of weather stripping. I didn't mention it to the staff, since this didn't seem like the type of thing they could help with. Though if I had stayed there for more than two nights I might have said something. Given that the head of the bed is on the same wall as the window, the whistling was hard to ignore and, combined with the pillow/mattress situation, it kept me up for part of the night.

Excellent location: 3 mins walking distance to Daimon station, 5 mins to Hamamatsucho station, 5 mins to convenience store, Can easily access to sky tree, tokyo tower, the famous sightseeing places you can name of. I personally love this location which has a great photographic spot for Tokyo tower. You can just walk around to take photos without worrying to catch train. Amenities: Welcome drink coffee/tea/sake, just awesome! It has everything you ever need for the stay, just need to grab a pj at lobby if you need one. Surprisingly great sound proof room. There are extra pillowS from thin to thick, soft to hard at the lobby downstairs for extra comfort. Can’t miss the excellent customer service. My Japanese is minimal, yet love to challenge to understand the native speaking. She tried her best to slow down and explain the check in process and introduce facilities for my stay. I realize something I don’t understand, she went above and beyond to explain in both Japanese and English.

Everything just to small. I’m a petite size around 75 lbs. I find the space between Toilet & wall is a bit narrow, and bath tub of course. Hotel doesn’t offer direct payment to hotel for exchanging laundry coins. I have to get cash from atm which charges ¥300 yen currency exchange fee to just get a ¥1000 yen, so I can have ¥300 yen in coin to do laundry.

Hotel location was excellent - near railway station and monorail from Haneda Airport, also near subway. All employees were gentle and supported us in any question, I asked for needles with thread and they provided immediately, all our questions were answered. On 1st floor there is zone looks like cafe - for breakfast and also you can sit there any time in the day for work or have FOC cup of tea. Everywhere there are instructions! Hotel has magic shampoo and hair conditioner - I even wanted to buy it and they have possibility for that.

Actually nothing, still you need to consider that rooms are small, nevertheless all you need is inside. Hotel has specific pillows, they are very hard, still there is an option to take another on reception.

Staff was nice, location was good, not too noisy. Room a good size for one person. The breakfast was mediocre (for a vegan), and if you have a special diet or allergies, not everything has ingredient/allergen information available.

Only one elevator serving 12 floors - no information if the emergency stairs could be used. The rooms comes with a long, bean-filled pillow. There are other pillows near reception (grab yours quickly, first-come first-serve), but even those options were quite low and firm for a side-sleeper.

We booked in at Hotel Tokyo Hamamatsucho for our last night in Japan, as it was conveniently located just a few blocks from the Airport Monorail station. It was also easy to access other trains which took us into some of the main areas in Tokyo. The staff were friendly and offered us free drinks on entry, and allowed us to keep our bags in the lobby area under surveillance after we checked out. The room itself was small (of course), but well appointed and laid out. We had a direct view of Tokyo Tower from our window, there was a mini bar fridge, coat hangers and wall hooks, a small bench and table area, and a compact but comfortable bathroom with a bath/shower. There were USB connectors in the wall beside the bed, and more plugs by the little table area. The double bed was comfortable, with a single long pillow provided for us. We were able to choose our own pillow from the lobby, with different options for pillow height and firmness.

As expected, the room was quite small and would be difficult to fit large suitcases. I could see this being a bit too cramped for a multi-night stay. There was no power outlet in the bathroom to charge our electric toothbrush, but we were able to use a spare outlet in the living space.

Location was central, and the hotel was not situated at a very busy neighborhood of Minato which I like. Angie was really friendly. It was a surprise and a novelty that the hotel has non-Japanese staff.

Too early check out at 10am. Most hotels’ check out time is at 12nn, which I believe is the standard. Staying an extra 2 hours more, allows for extra sleep, rest or prep time esp if one is preparing for a full day before a very late evening flight back. Though, the good thing is they will store your luggage until 12 midnight and allow one to stay at their lounge to make some final luggage fix before departure to the airport :)

The location was excellent! It was a few minutes from the train station which made the rest of Tokyo very accessible. The facility itself was clean, the staff was friendly, and the checkout process was easy and didn't require you to speak with anyone. All you had to do was leave at the appointed time. I will likely stay here again.

My only complaint was that the room was a bit smaller than I anticipated, but it wasn't annoying enough to leave anything less than a great review. I'll have to keep that in mind with my luggage next time.
