For a family, probably need bigger bins in the room In the morning sunlight very bright thru blinds, better to have more layers of unluminous curtains

Shiba Park Hotel is my favourite place to stay in Tokyo. It's close to Hamatsucho Station on the Yamanote Line, Zozoji Temple and Tokyo Tower. It's a nice quiet part of Tokyo and very safe for solo female travellers. This has been my fourth stay and I shall be back.

In a quiet backstreet near Tokyo Tower with plenty of shops nearby for snacks and food. Close to transit. Beds were very comfortable and the room and bathroom had nice amenities, including a very nice very modern hair dryer.

I was blown away with this hotel - loved the location, I slept fantastic on the beds (they were the perfect balance in softness/hardness), and the library upstairs was gorgeous to look at. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, loved the free espresso every morning, and this hotel really just made my time in Tokyo spectacular. Thank you!

I don't really have any complaints about this hotel at all. The price point is fantastic, the rooms had more space than I initially thought, the beds were extremely comfortable, and the location was perfect for me.

I normally don’t bother taking the time doing hotel reviews with booking.com but this merits an exception. The Shiba Park is simply an excellent place to stay in Tokyo—combination of location (quiet neighborhood and convenient transit access from Haneda as well as to Tokyo attractions); comfortable, well-appointed, and restful common areas and room; superb breakfast buffet; friendly staff; and excellent value for money. It was a return visit to this hotel for me.

A very modern and well run hotel, with tons of helpful staff members. The library theme is catchy and unique and provides quiet spaces to read or talk. The hotel is walking distance to three different train stations and the Tokyo tower. The restaurant has a good menu and very good food. Although somewhat expensive, I thought it was good value for Japan and the services we received.

The room was small, but clean and comfortable. The hotel's central theme, books, is charming, and it will be worth your while to hunt around their displays and bookcases - some really interesting pieces. We were there just before Christmas and loved their Christmas tree made out of stacks of books. The hotel is situated in the shadow of the Tokyo Tower, so it's really central and within minutes' walk of various subway stations, and of the monorail station from Haneda Airport. It's also very close to several restaurants, convenience stores and coffee shops. There are many staff members, all of whom were friendly and eager to assist. We returned to the hotel just before the end of the trip and they were happy to store a small suitcase until our return. I also had a package delivered there in between our two stays, which they received and kept safe for me until we returned.

Room cleaning is relegated to every two or three days. The wine in the foyer was surprisingly good, but at Yen 1000 for a very small glass, it was a bit expensive. Although it was turning cold outside, the temperature control in the lounge was set really high, and made it uncomfortable to spend time there. Something to get used to in many hotels, is the lack of packing space, so we mostly lived straight out of our suitcases. But this seems standard for most of the hotels we visited.

The lounge area on ground floor has a wonderful library. There were also smaller libraries in other parts of the hotel. View from our room on 12th floor was good. Free coffee and tea in the lobby. Good location - easy walk to nearby train stations.

Breakfast was over-priced and not very good quality. The superior twin room was ok, but clearly ready for renovation as it all looked a bit dated, especially the carpet and bathroom tiling, etc. The mattresses and sofa were ok but had some creaky springs. Once the rooms on this floor are updated I’m sure it will be really nice.

We liked that there was a filtered (room temp & cold) water station on each floor for easy drinking water access. The room was quite spacious compared to other Tokyo hotel rooms. We stayed in the fairly newly renovated room and it was quite clean. The staff were courteous and when we were taking photos outside, a staff member came out to help take a photo for us. The location is great with a few different train stations, convenience stores and places to eat nearby.

While there were 2 pillow options per bed, we found the pillows weren't comfortable enough for our liking. Either too high and a bit stiff. There are a few nearby train stations, but depending on where you are going, the furthest train station is a bit of a walk to get to. Although the weather was cool in Autumn, we tried turning on the aircon and we didn't really notice much air coming out. The WiFi in our room had some poor spots where WiFi was weak and could drop out, but if you move a bit you would be able to reconnect.

Great hotel, stayed for a week would have loved to stay longer. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There are multiple train stations near by, (10 min walk to JR line, 5 minutes to local subways) I was very happy with the location. The area is quiet and there’s a beautiful view of Tokyo tower just down the road. Hotel offers luggage forwarding/sending services. There was a reading nook on my floor. Bathroom is small but expected for Tokyo. Hotel itself is beautiful, room was lovely, amenities were also fantastic, the personal skincare pack also great!

Bed was a little hard but not unbearable. Small bathroom.
