Really good beds in comparison to other beds in Nepal. Clean. Mostly functional power outlets. Nice atmosphere in the room and very spacious. Pretty quiet place. Super friendly staff. Good WiFi. Location close to the main area of Thamel and there are some really good restaurants nearby (e.g. Fren's Kitchen). Close to clubs/lounges but no noise disturbance. Room service available with lovely menu for no extra charge.

Shower doesn't get hot enough if you like really hot showers. Entrance to the hotel is a tad eery for a solo female traveller (very quiet street a bit outside of the busy area of Thamel). Bathroom could've been cleaner.

We had initially only planned to stay here two nights but ended up booking to stay another five nights when we returned to Kathmandu! The staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was a good size and was really clean, the bed was comfortable, and there was hot water available at all times of day. The hotel is also very well located, a short walk from Durbar Square and all of the shops and restaurants in Thamel. If you’re looking for a nice place to stay in a good area I would highly recommend Mums Home :)

I’ve been travelling as a solo female backpacker throughout Nepal for almost a month now, always staying at hotels with a private room. My experience at Mum’s felt like the most luxurious as the staff went ahead and offered me a free upgrade and I’ve never had such a big bed and fancy room all to myself. I ended up making my stay of 7 nights instead of the original 3. Would totally recommend a stay here. Thank you for everything :)

The hotel and the staff are really nice. The rooms are very big and clean, the beds are comfortable and the bathroom was very clean and the shower is hot. The location is also great, as the hotel is on the side quiet road but you can reach everything in Thamel pretty quickly (Durbar Square - 10 mins walk). We would stay here again if we were to go to Kathmandu again.

The construction right next to the hotel was a bit annoying but it did not bother too much, as we stayed only two nights.

The staff was very polite and friendly. I was very happy to have a large room that I could walk around it. Sometimes it helps with my creative process to walk back and forth in my room. I was very happy because the room was warm and I felt safe. The hotel is located on a quiet street. I felt safe in the neighbourhood. I liked the availability of laundry service. I like the laundry service because my clothes came back clean and they used a scent free laundry detergent.

Some of the staff did not speak very good English. But they would go and get someone who did or call someone to help. I had to run the water for what seemed like quite a long time in order to have hot water in my room. It did get hot though and the showers were great.

Perfect location just outside the Thamel main area close to a wide range of restaurants and cafes. The chosen room with bath tub is spacious and bright, with a desk for working, a television with international channels, a double and a single bed (so sleeps three easily!). Bedding, toilet, bathroom all clean. Biggest perk is the bathtub which, though not big and perhaps cramped for tall people, is already not common for hotels in this price category, and also not common is the fact that it provides enough hot water 24/7 to take a hot bath and soak off the dirt any time of the day! Staff is friendly and accommodating.

The only real downside is the construction site next door, which causes some noise from morning till evening. Maybe to note when you are planning to spend time inside or sleep in and are sensitive to this. Of course, this is completely outside the hotel's power to deal with.

rooms are big and clean, the hotel is in a perfect position, close to main points of interest but also in a quiet area. very good value for money. the best thing is the staff, very kind and helpful. the girl at the reception is the loveliest person we’ve met in Nepal!

The allotted room was on the fourth floor and was spacious with a huge window for enough light to come in. The lady at the reception was extremely helpful and always wore a genuine smile on her face. Kitchen staff and other house keeping staff were extremely helpful and we received wonderful service from each of them.

Spacious room and wide windows with curtains was so comfortable feeling to stay in.Staff was polite specially the lady at the reception. Breakfast was not buffet but the portion was delicious and filling. Bathroom was clean and in decent space. Hotel was very nearby to reach the highway and easy to access thamel area too.

The area outside hotel was too congested where it was difficult for 1car to reach. But that's how most of thamel area is.

We stayed at the hotel for two nights. The stuff was very kind and helpful with any question we had. The family room was conveninet as we could stay the whole family in one room

The shower is in the same room with the toilet which is fine. The problem is that you have to cross the shower in order to reach the toilet...not big deal though
