it was clean and the room was spacious. there were no standard rooms available when we got there (even though we booked one), so they upgraded us for free to a deluxe one! staff seemed friendly too and it’s easy to reach the city centre by metro. takes around half an hour

Walls were fairly thin, but I guess whether or not that’s a problem depends on your neighbours. smoking inside is prohibited but a lot of people don’t care. we could tell by the amount of smoke detector alarms going off :| (can be quite disturbing if it’s in the middle of the night) food in the hotel itself was pricey as well

The hotel was close to the metro and tram stations, which was very convenient. The breakfast buffet was very decent, not to mention the bacon strips, which were very bad—bonus points for the wonderful omelets served by the kitchen. The overall experience was fine. The staff was very friendly.

I was informed only upon arrival that there needs to be a 200EUR refundable deposit paid.

The look of the property was very nice, was modern and the facilities were very good The view was also very nice and refreshing, 30 second walk to the metro station was ideal. Being in Amsterdam designated smoking areas was useful due to the no smoking policy within the rooms Overall a modern yet classy hotel very enjoyable time with great staff

We mostly didn’t have any problems with the property other than bigger pillows; but that’s if you are being particularly picky about things.

The facilities were good. Rooms are quite spacious, super clean and very comfortable. Location is nice about 20 min to get to the city center.

The breakfast was not a good value for the money (17.5- quite overpriced for what they offered-Very simple and the same every single day). Staff must be more attentive. It takes so long to ask for a lost item, and they never called me back to inform me if the item was found or not. Not professional and a clear indication of reluctance of customer service and loyalty.

We stayed 5 nights at the Corendon Amsterdam and were very comfortable. The bed and pillows were great, and there was enough room to move around even with a desk, table, two chairs, mini fridge and luggage rack. We rented bikes from the hotel one day (18 euros each) and enjoyed cycling to the nearby parks and along the canals. The hotel offers a plan to opt out of daily room cleaning in exchange for vouchers that are good to use in the hotel. We took advantage of this mainly because we like the positive environmental message this sends.

Although the hotel had an excellent restaurant on site, you don’t always want to eat at the hotel every day, and there were no other restaurants, cafes, or even coffee shops anywhere remotely close. After two months of travel in Europe, we were tired of hotel breakfast buffets so just had coffee in the room and took the metro (close by) into town.

I appreciated that there were several modes of transportation close by and that the hotel was conveniently located near a metro station. Every day a maid got there to tidy up the room. Even though I didn't request it, our towels were changed every day (this might be improved particularly because they promote the "laundry minimization" policy. The staff was really helpful and friendly. The location was quiet and pleasant. Overall, a wonderful stay.

After cleaning the room, the maids adjusted the thermostat to 21 degrees (or the system dropped the temperature as soon as we left, making the room uncomfortably chilly when we returned each evening). The bathroom lacks heating. A few of the towels were ripped and stained. Additionally, I didn't like that there were two individual mattresses rather than a king bed.

Location is fine, public transport nearby. Both tram and metro are OK. Hotel personnel young and friendly.

Breakfast 19 Euro, slightly overpriced.

Location good, friendly staff, food excellent, Reception staff. The issue we had below were resolved, except the Tv signal, which we were offered the same grade room , when the cockpit suite was available at the time, but was told the hotel was full. We would come back after some issues we had.

Rubbish under bed Scuff marks on wall and curtain TV no signal Deep clean promised was told to skip on the first day and tried to clean at 7pm. No corridor lights at midnight Spa after you spent 19 euros, had to buy flip flops as was not made aware of this. 19 euros per person, per day for breakfast, was not worth it. Some of the restaurant supervisor,she was rude and did not have the full compliment, trying to resolve the full story, when she did not know the story, then try to blame us for wastage, when the bar staff took over 25 minutes to make a cocktail. On first night, a drinks order was taken when we received the main course.

The staff was very helpful and kind. They were very amenable to changing our room to one with a shower. I have found that being short and somewhat older that some European bathtubs are not easy for me to deal with. I don't know if that would be the case at the Corendon, I didn't get to see the bathroom, but they changed me to a shower and I am happy with that. The hotel is very close to the Metro, so it is easy to get into downtown. We had a lovely view of a canal from our window.

The room pictures on bookings and the website could give a picture of the shower/bath facilities and tell you whether you are getting a shower or a bathtub with each type of room. European bathrooms, in general, could have a bar to hold onto while balancing to scrub or get in or out. Also, towel hangers and shelves shouldn't assume you are 6 feet tall to reach them. These are general comments not particular to the Corendon.

We just loved our stay here from start to finish. Super friendly staff who went over & above. Easy check in & check up out. A super spacious modern room on the 5th floor, with a modern feel, very comfy bed & a great bathroom. The hotel was chic & stylish as well. The spa was a bonus & the food & staff in the restaurant were fabulous. There was a party whilst we were there that the team organised & a DJ. We had the best night & were treated to a glass of bubbly, a shot & we even won a bottle of Cava. We danced the night away with the special performers, the other hotel guests & the staff who enthusiastically joined in too. This just made a special end to a fantastic time staying at the Correndon. We were able to have late check out the next day for 10 euro each, which was great.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like. I honestly couldn’t fault anything.
