The staff were very nice and the hotel is beautiful and clean. The location is not the best but the city is reachable by bus or tram .

The breakfast box was true dutch fashion - some dry toast bread 🥲

The hotel was incredibly clean, with room service every day. The rooms were big and we were upgraded to a room with a window despite paying for a window-less room. The staff were so friendly and there is a 24-hour reception if you need help. The bed was really comfy and the shower was amazing. There was a working thermostat, clean sheets, and a tea and coffee station. When requesting a different type of tea, staff were more than willing to help. The area is incredibly quiet. There is a Lidl a 3-minute walk away if you need provisions. The closest tram stop (Leylaan) also has a 6-minute direct train to Schipol Airport (although this may only run during the week/peak times), otherwise there are direct trains to Schipol Airport from Leylaan.

The location is a 20-minute tram from the centre. I think this is perfectly acceptable as you get a lovely location for good value and it's really quiet. However, a bit less impractical if you intend on going out to the city and coming back for a bit of down time before going out again. Once we left the hotel, we were out for the day. It depends on your preference. Whilst the tram is a 5-minute walk, the area is more residential and so you can't have a quiet night in the area without going to the hotel for food.

We were so pleasantly surprised with the hotel, the interior is gorgeous and feels like it would be a much more expensive hotel, especially with all their christmas decorations at the moment. The staff were also lovely and were so kind to help us celebrate our 5 year anniversary. Situated about a 10 minute walk from Leylann station where you can get trams everywhere which was also great.

The only downsides were the lack of a full length mirror in the rooms and by the end of our time here the tram ride to and from amsterdam central started to feel long but it was worth it for this hotel :)

The room, hotel and facilities were all excellent and really clean. All of the food (breakfast, lunch and dinner) we had whilst staying was excellent and freshly prepared. Just outside there is a play area and green space for kids (the hotel is in a residential area so it is shared with the wider community) which ours really enjoyed playing on and there was also lots of wildlife. There is also a supermarket 2 minutes away if you need anything else. The staff were all really friendly and helpful.

These weren't negatives from our perspective but just things to know... Getting to the hotel from the airport was really easy (it's about 10 minutes) but be aware it is about a 5-10 minute walk to the hotel from the station through residential areas. The only other thing to be aware of is that it is approx 25 mins to get into central Amsterdam via Metro or Tram (it is really easy and there are two stops within 5-10 mins walk of the hotel). Again not an issue for us but just something to be aware of.

Had a great stay at the Met. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the room was exactly like the photos! Really lovely, modern, luxurious-feeling space. Had all the necessary amenities - a kettle (important as a Brit!) and a really good hairdryer (important as a woman with thick hair!). The communal spaces are great too. I was able to sit in the cafe with my laptop for hours and wasn’t disturbed at all, it was a lovely, quiet place to work. Breakfast was delicious and there was a variety of hot and cold options.

The location is a little far from the centre, however there is a metro/tram station close by.

loved the environment and the friendliness of the staff, they were exceptional! it was a beautiful hotel.

my only complaint about our stay, is we didn’t have a single window in our hotel room. it was extremely hard for our bodies to try to adjust to amsterdam’s time because we are from the states, it’s an 8 hour time difference. and due to the lack of sunlight it made it extremely hard. i need sunlight! and also no fans in the bathrooms, so it would get soo humid and hot in there. the toilet situation was extremely weird, we stayed in a family room and the toilet had a glass door and you could hear absolutely EVERYTHING. we ended up using their bathrooms downstairs more often then not. just made the whole sharing a room experience pretty dang awkward.

I like the setting as we can check in and out online, which saves a lot of time. The atmosphere is very cozy, guests can feel very relaxed when walking into the hotel lobby, maybe to have a cup of coffee or nice drinks The staff is very friendly. Although not so many options for breakfast, but with nice quality, you could ask chef to prepare different kind of egg dishes.

It’s quite cold in the room and no way to adjust it, especially the carpet in our room was removed for washing, which made our room even colder. I needed to wear the rope at night while sleeping. No place to hook or put the changing clothes in the shower room. The sensor light in the bathroom is although with good intention but honestly quite annoying, it went out very quickly if you need more time on the toilet, you need to keep waving or moving to light on again. Also when you go to the toilet in the middle of the night you probably don’t want such strong light…

The hotel was immaculate, very modern, beautiful and felt very upscale and luxurious. The staff were so attentive and welcoming and made us feel very at home. Nothing was too much trouble and they went above and beyond at every opportunity. Also the food in the restaurant was amazing. Transport into the city centre is close by with the metro and tram stops within 5 mins walking distance. The hotel staff were really helpful with giving us plenty of info on how best to get around.

It wasn’t difficult to navigate into the city centre but it was a little further out. Also it is located in as very up and coming area with lots of building work going on. Sometimes it did feel a little unnerving walking through the village.

Our stay in Met Hotel was absolutely fantastic, modern and spacious rooms with everything you need. Innovative and well located, close to the main stations of metro bus and tram. We loved everything! We also had dinner and it was delicious. Abdoul was very welcoming and funny, always available for any information. Highly recommended!

Everything was great

Lovely modern hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Abdo in particular was great. Taking us outside to point out the directions to where we could get the bus into the city centre. Hotel was very clean. Although not in the most picturesque location and outside the city centre the availability of public transport made it an ideal base for our sight seeing. Plus only one stop on the train from the airport. Would happily book again if travelling to Amsterdam in the future.

Only minor complaints were the lack of a mirror in the bedroom. The only mirror is over the sink next to the shower which made it awkward when drying hair . Also found the shower floor was a little slippy. Plus the towels could have been larger. Fine if you are 5 ft tall but at 5 ft 9 I struggled.
