My Birthday weekend in Amsterdam: Room 22 was very comfortable, clean and quiet, did not hear a peep from outside at night, take ear plugs for returning guests Bathrooms where always clean and tidy. Location was amazing, used as a base to wander around your beautiful city. We did not have breakfast during our stay, we popped over to the Irish pub. Will be back. Great location for walking around city, hop on the number 4 or 14 tram. 3 nightclubs on square, lots of bars, try the smaller bars, used by locals and not rammed.

Pillows, check and replace pillows more often, ones in room 22 are past there best. Picture on TV not great or maybe it was the TV itself. Not suitable for anyone who has mobility issues, no lift and stairs are steep, as are most in Amsterdam

The location of this property is nothing less than AMAZINGLY CENTRAL with lots of buzz and night life there. Now, the rooms facing the streets were VERY LOUD and pick up ALL the night club music vibrations from below music bars throughout the night and until early morning, so very hard to sleep. Therefore, the front desk gives away ear plugs. However, the room facing the back (where I was moved to on the second night, was very comfortable, CLEAN and private. Rooms at this hotel are sparsely decorated. Some have a table, some don’t. No wall hooks, no closets, no hangers, but a chest of (3) drawers. There are two shared bathrooms on each floor and they are seldom taken. Front desk staff was on the young side and very accommodating of my needs. They are knowledgeable and friendly. The Rembrandt Hotel have a coffee lounge that is comfortable. They offer free coffee or tea throughout your stay. A small fridge also available there on the lounge. Best aspect here was surely it’s central location.

Front room was very loud THROUGHOUT the night and until early hours! (Room on the back was quiet, private and enjoyable)

The Rembrant is just perfect for your stay in Amsterdam its a good clean hotel.The rooms are slightly small but they are clean and provide everything you need.Super comfy beds aswell and considering its next to a night club the noise is absolutely fine i slept no problem at all.The staff are super friendly aswell which makes a big difference.At the bottom of the stairs you have vouchers you can use we saved a fortune using these which are free for you to take.Its open 24/7 so you can come and go as you please.We are going to be booking again every year for our annual trip.Its so close to everything.You can catch the metro directly outside in to the main town and also to the train station.Theres a cool cafe a few minutes walk called Balous they are cheap and friendly and have lots of different types of "coffee".Its a fab little place.100% recommend.Thank you

Boiler was broke so a tad cold of the night but they were waiting to get it repaired.

Great room and shared facilities. Clean and tidy. Great location, great atmosphere, and open later than elsewhere (Damrak, etc) Perfect access to Central Station across the square (Trams 4 & 14)

Rooms are a bit small, warm, stuffy, and can't have window open at night due to the noise in the square(if the room is at the front) Would have been nice to have towels replaced and bin emptied during our 4 night stay. I'm sure we could have asked, but we were out early and back late daily.

i got what i expected. The location is great. The street is very noisy but hotel provides ear plugs for free. There’s also complimentary tea, coffee, chocolate and fridge in the lobby. The rooms are very small and bit worn out but sheets were clean. Bathroom was clean and modern. There’s no lift and stairs quite steep. After check put they looked after our baggage for couple of hours.

There are two bathrooms on the floor and one of them didn’t have working shower. The room and beds would also deserve some renovation.

Staff was super friendly and open to share suggestions around the best travel experiences to have in AMSTERDAM. Room were super clean and ready to settle down. Good deal if you are going with your friends and this hotel is located in the prime location of party and everything you need to do in AMSTERDAM.

Like every other hotels in this city, the stairs are too steep. but i cannot be dissatisfied as it is the same across the city.

You can not ask for a better location (if you don't have kids and want to enjoy the nightlife). I walked 20 min to the Heineken Experience. It's about 15 minutes from the red light. The Uber from the airport was under 30 minutes.

Stairs are steep, but that is hardly their fault. If you have kids, you might want to consider another hotel. This is deadset in Rembrand Square at the top of a coffee shop. Perfect to party. Not so perfect for families.

I like that the hotel is a third of the price of other hotels in this very central area of Amsterdam. We only use our room to sleep and spend the days at museums, cafés, riding bicycles, etc. we had a lovely room overlooking Rembrandt Square. We were there on a Friday and Saturday night and people partied in the Square all night long until about 6 AM. This did not bother us at all because we had spent the days riding bicycles walking and are not sensitive to noise. We also had the option to use ear plugs that were provided at the front desk. We never heard other guests in the hotel while we were there the bathrooms and our room were both very clean. This is a very budget option in terms of amenities but met our needs perfectly.

There are many stairs to get up to the rooms, so would not be an ideal choice for anybody with mobility issues

Brilliant hotel! Amazing location. Reasonably good value for money. Staff were friendly and helpful. The shared bathroom situation wasn't a problem there's 2 showers and 2 toilets just outside your door and were kept clean. Everything is around you and within 15 minutes walking distance (max) coffeeshop downstairs is cool. Great for anyone looking for a cheap stay in the center of Amsterdam.

The only thing I didn't like was the sound coming from the nightclub downstairs until 3am. But after a visit to the coffeeshop, sleeping was not a problem.

First of all, you need to understand what you are looking for. We were a group of men out for a good time, so the hotel's location just off the noisy square and just above the disco bar was perfectly fine. We really appreciated the walkability to wherever we decided to go. The bed has a softer mattress and I absolutely loved it. The communal showers were cleaned regularly, however it was a shame that shower gel was not replenished. The price performance ratio was the best in the time in which I was looking for a room for 3 people.

missing shower gel in the bathroom, mess at the entrance door (2 out of 3 nights there were small pieces of rubbish on the ground after entering the hotel), 1 card (key) for 3 people is not enough
