The rooms were large and very comfortable. Kept very clean and towels changed more than was necessary. The breakfast was excellent - one of the best breakfast buffets we have had! Such a choice and always fresh. Very convenient for the Train and Bus Stations and yet a short walk to the town centre. Did not have dinner in the Restaurant but had some Bar Snacks one evening which were very good.

Would have liked a door or curtain on the hanging space. Better lighting in the corridors would be good - found it a bit dark.

Second time at the hotels. First time in January we booked Golden Tulip. Now I had the experience of Tulip Inn. A bit more economical than the first one with minor differences mostly in the decoration and absence of amenities like refrigeration and magnifying mirror in the bathroom. If you don't need them I would suggest Tulip inn. Because all the others are the same. The good quality white linen , the cleaningness, the renovated bathrooms. Also the very comfortable pillows and mattress. The two hotels are in the same building with same reception restaurant and all. Simply, some of the rooms are rated with 3 stars not 4 I guess. Friendly personel and free luggage room. Every hour after 13.00 is considered late check-out and charged 15 euros. The location is most important for our choice just opposite Leiden Centraal. I also want to thank the hotel personel and the Booking.com because they managed to split my reservation even if it was unrefundable and under a strict policy . We will come again!

The room was very nice, with comfortable furniture (especially the leather sofa across from TV) and great view. Complimentary teas and coffee of course are always a nice addition. Hotel is located very close to train station and within walking distance from city center, surrounded by big roads however sound isolation is impeccable.

No particular complaints, however (heads up to the hotel management) the table seemed not sturdy enough to carry TV set, coffee machine, kettle and the rest - the wood of tabletop is visibly bent under all this weight, maybe better to fix that before it snaps.

We had a problem when we arrived and because we were very tired it seemed enormous.However all the staff tried to deal with it and worked hard to get the broken door to work. As a consequence we were upgraded to a room next door to our grand daughters and that worked well. Every thing we asked about the staff were delightful and very helpful from parking the car to having a meal. Thank you. The breakfast was fantastic with a wonderful choice and the meal we had in the hotel we all thought was delicious and they left out the thing that some of us weren’t fond of which was the blue cheese so clean plates all round. All staff were very good.

Nice and comfortable room. The staff were very friendly, offered goodies bags to our children. Breakfast was nice, and of good variety. Although you have to pay for parking extra, it was very close and easy to access.

I would have appreciated some more care in the cleaning aspect of the bathroom. I did found some hair in the bathroom sink and bath tap. Overall the room was very clean so this felt strange, and I hope it is not common practice.

Everything is extremely good; the facilities are nice and comfortable, there is always water+lemon available for guests, rooms are very large and fully equipped, the breakfast is gorgeous, the location is perfect, near the central station and close to the center. This is my third times at Tulip and I look forward to be back again!

Lovely hotel. Atmosphere was very relaxed and friendly staff. Staff were lovely to meet and deal with. Family room was big and spacious. The standard of cleanliness was brilliant with regular cleaning and fresh towels. Great location and 2 minutes walk from train station. Area is nice and quite and located in a quiter area of Leiden. Provided a great selection for buffet style breakfast. Something for everyone. Would highly recommend this place to anyone, especially travelling with children. Will definitely be making a return visit. Hotel were very accomodating with an earlier check in when we arrived and were extremely helpful booking taxis and arranging breakfast for an extrely early check out when we needed.

We didn't get to experience the restaurant within the hotel this time around

The check in process was very smooth and the room was much more spacious than I expected. The service was good and the room was kept in a good condition throughout my stay. I checked out early at 5.30 am but the train was only at 6.00am so the staff kindly suggested that I remain nice and warm in the lobby before making my way to the station. A very nice gesture which I very much appreciated.

Given that I do not use a radiator where I am from and it was late autumn/early winter when I stayed, I would have appreciated some information on how to use the radiator, which I found online on my own.

Very nice hotel, clean room and very comfy beds. The breakfast buffet was the best, very complete! Location also very central in Leiden near by all restaurants but a bit far from the tulip fields, 40 min by bike.

Pillows were not to comfy, they were a bit to tall. The staff was very nice, but as we went to see the tulips fields when we ask, they were not very sure how to get there.

I love the location, the breakfast and the parking possibilities

The mattresses are old and uncomfortable The staff seems to be mostly interns especially at the breakfast and not always the most professional in their attitude but maybe they are new to the role? Training is in the air :-) then
