Location is excellent, short 10 min walk to Train station. Main Street (George St) a short drive, or 25 min walk, where there is shopping and many restaurants. The room is spacious (we had a 1 bedroom apartment with a spa bath). The reception staff is friendly and gave us local information. We went to the Otago museum (free admission) and it is very well done as it displays Maori artefacts, and also Pacific Islanders display. Also drove up to Signal Hill lookout. Good view of the city. If you happen to come here on Friday, the Saturday morning there is Farmer's market at the train station parking lot, and we picked up fresh produce for our next destination. Nice parking too on site (free!). Laaundry facilities also available (insert coins).

The spa bath water supply is slow (takes a long time to fill up). There is no stove top (although on booking.com it stated "kitchenette"), as we do not have meal plan would have preferred to cook our own breakfast e.g. fried eggs which we cannot do. I believe they have other units (larger and more expensive) with stove top. The bed sags a bit. Places get busy when there is a cruise ship in town!

The room had everything we needed for a stay of a few nights. Beds very comfortable. The location is really good as its just a minute from the main road and lots of shops and restaurants etc but is still quiet. Great that we had a place to park the car off the road.

The unit's living area was a bit cramped and difficult for all 4 of us to sit comfortably together (2 had to sit on the hard dining room chairs). We were not given milk on arrival. The office is only open in the afternoon which was a little unhelpful, although I am sure someone would have come if we needed things urgently.

Everything was great.. No complaints. The room was spotless and warm. The cleaner was lovely and very accomodating. Location was great. 20 mins walk to the hospital. Lovely restaurant a 3 min walk away and apparently great coffee in the cafe next door to that.

The only thing that took a while to adjust to was that the office was only open in the afternoon. If we needed to inquire about anything in the morning then it was a little annoying ie like milk... First world problem I know..

Easy to find, but top floor room was a pain up the stairs. Room was spacious and super clean. Lovely shower and comfy bed. No air-conditioning, but there was a fan, which we had on all night as the room was warm. Friendly helpful staff. 2 adults in 60's stayed 2 nights January 2023 Orange squash powder was an unusual extra, nice too. Hot chocolate powder was a bonus too. 😋 Short walk into town centre, but it's a pretty run down area, and a steep hill to walk back up to motel.

Top floor and stairs, but to be fair, we didn't ask for the ground floor when we booked.

Parking was awesome, room was a great size, especially the bathroom. Workspace in the room was handy, as was lounge area. Enjoyed the view from the balcony too. Access to rooms without elevator was a wee downside re accessibility to upstairs rooms, but otherwise lovely stay.

Access via stairs only to the top floors, and the bed looked more comfortable than it was.

Clean, quiet and comfortable.

Convenient for the centre of Dunedin, but not in the most picturesque area of Dunedin. The name "Palms" gives a certain impression. In reality this is a commercial motel located in a commercial urban area. Our apartment looked out over a scruffy industrial plot.

Great location, very clean and well equipped, comfy bed, good shower, tea/coffee making facilities and because we were travelling in classic cars, they made sure there were carparks available in the upper carpark (and provided us with cones to save our parking spaces) as it would have been difficult to drive our vehicles into the lower carpark. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

There was nothing we were unhappy with.

We had a unit with cooking facilities and so provided our own food. The staff were very friendly and he!pful , especially the cleaning ladies. It is in an ideal position for easy walk into centre of town

The photo on the website of a sitting outside area is very deceptive. It is one table on a landing above the car parking area......

Excellent property, a bit of a walk (hills) from the main centre with grandparents but none the less, would stay again. Great tea/coffee offering in the rooms, unfortunately no milk of any sort which was disappointing from a coffee perspective on Sunday morning. Would recommend a couple of UHT pods or similar which would uplift the experience.

Wifi very substandard in my room, almost non-existent, however it was fine in my work colleagues room. This was frustrating and disappointing
