We stayed in Unit P1. It was nice having it just be our family in three bedrooms plus kitchen, living, bathroom. The layout was great. There was good heating and comfortable beds in roomy bedrooms. The kitchen had a decent size fridge and stove and huge rubbish bin. The living area had a comfortable lounge suite and a basic dining table and chairs. It was only a 10min walk into town. We were able to find parking around the accommodation. We could return our keys before reception opened. It was great value for money.

-We really didn't like the squeaky floors down the hall. - We couldn't close our bedroom doors without locking them, it would be nice to be able to snib them. - An update in the bathroom and kitchen area would be very welcome, it is very old. - An earlier checkin time than 3pm would be good although staff were great and let us come at 2pm because we had a baby we needed to attend to and we needed to change before a lunch function.

Quite an interesting concept with self-contained units. Ours had 3 dorms, two bathrooms and a small kitchen and common area. ABSOLUTELY THE QUICKEST WiFi!!! And I can also recommend the laundry, the machines are very good. Reception has long opening hours which is rare these days.

Beds don't have lights or sockets, the upper bunks don't even have ladders, no idea how you're supposed to climb up. Small room, I had to keep my luggage in the kitchen, no lockers. Lots of long-term residents. A bit of noise from the outside in the evening. Kitchen didn't have recycling bins, they're only outside. Luggage storage 5 NZD/day which seems excessive.

This is a good backpacker option for those who wish ro save some money while visiting Queenstown, because all the other hotels are incredibly pricey. We had a private room with a shared bathroom, but we hardly met anyone, so it felt very private. It was also very clean and the staff was very helpful and incredibly nice. It is located slightly further away from the city center, but still easily accessible.

Ir was all perfectly sufficient, but if I had to complain about anything, it would be the view from our room (pile of chopped woods right behind it) and it might get busy because of all the backpackers. But these are minor things anf overall it was a great place for that price.

Great value for money, no bells and whistles but we weren't expecting them. Rooms were warm and comfortable, decent views easy access to the city via a short walk. Staff were friendly, and the shared environment with other guests meant we could mingle a bit with people outside of our own party, if that is something you are interested in.

Building was quite old and creaky, very hard to do anything without making lots of noise. Doors, cupboards, windows, floors, all creaked a lot. Kitchen floor was generally quite dirty and no method to clean it was available. Kitchen utensils were very barebones, could really do with having scissors. Some cleaning supplies to at least clean the kitchen floor a little bit would be great. Bathrooms were generally good, but the showers didn't always contain all the water meaning soaked bath mats. Fridge was not working properly and when the issue was raised with staff they said it would get looked at, but it never did.

The check in process was easy. Room small, but adequate for a night. Room walking distance to town centre and some parking is available.

The fire alarm went off in the night. An inevitable consequence that happens occasionally. The fire brigade were fab, but even though office emergency number was called, no staff attended the alarm. Prior to visit I received an email asking for my intended check in time. Perfectly reasonable, but I did expect them to reply when I asked a question. Beds were hard, with broken night I had v little sleep.

after having problems with our TV for 2 nights and nobody could fix it, we were upgraded to a one bedroom unit which was really fabulous and much appreciated.

unfortunately we picked the wrong day to do our laundry, one room was completely closed as they were installing new machines and the other laundry had one machine out of order and the other one in use. We decided to do hand washing, but there was no plug and no water came out of either tap. We gave up!

Location. Pinewood Lodge is in the perfect location not far from the town, gondolas, and the Luge. Everything is in walking distance to activities, supermarkets and town, also, there is an electric scooter bay at the end of the street if you do not want to walk. Staff were amazing and helpful. Facilities were always clean, and our rooms were cozy and warm on arrival. Lots of parking. Accommodation is a great value for money. We were a family of 6. It's definitely our go-to lodge for family getaways. Thank you, Pinewood Lodge.

Small apartment but with adequate facilities. Really comfy bed with great storage. Cooking facilities were good and there was a large comfy couch. Lovely shower. Nice outside area and great but slightly interrupted view. Good facilities within walking distance.

Heating in longe didn’t work well and the TV was very basic. There was a cupboard over the wash basin which made it ridiculously difficult to clean your teeth etc.

I really like that there were small houses with 4 rooms each, and they had there own living space and kitchen. I really loved the location, it was next to the mountains and hiking trails, and away from the main roads.

There was no one to help during the night. There was a number to call, and I called the number when I needed help but couldn't reach out. in the end, I figured out so all good.

Beautiful 2 bedroom house. We stayed in unit no.D. it was super clean and private house with house keeping services offered daily, private BBQ on balcony... It was staying in heaven with gorgeous mountain views.... we would definitely recommend this simple looking lodge yet with such beautiful views to everyone. Hopefully one day return for a lovely stay!

Requires fans in bedrooms. With global warming upon us, summers in Queenstown r becoming hotter .
