I have to say we reluctantly paid top dollar for this last minute booking - it was over Easter AND Warbirds so there was nothing else available in the district .... our travel plans hit a speedbump so we had to spend an extra night in Wanaka. The cost aside - the accommodation was wonderful. We used the kitchen to cook a meal (in order to claw back a bit of money !!), sat in the spa by the pool afterwards and had a very relaxed stay. For the usual prices (not last minute where we paid double !!) it would be a nice place to stay for a weekend. Wasn't really close enough to walk into town, but it was nice and quiet - we had a large apartment with covered outdoor seating and a lawn and it was super peaceful and spacious. Lovely staff and a restaurant on site ....

We had an upstairs apartment at the front of the complex so uninterrupted panoramic views of the mountain behind the Lakes. Stunning. The balcony was super large and sheltered. The Receptionist was helpful and friendly which is always a good start. The room is relatively quiet and the atmosphere at the resort is serene. I did not use the pools, they looked inviting . Would stay again.

Getting all the displayed channels working on the TV would be a plus.

The property is a couple of minutes drive from Wanaka town centre. This was perfect for us as we had a car and the drive is stunning. Facilities in the hotel (gym, sauna and pools) were absolutely brilliant! Views were sensational, beds were super comfortable and it was great to have a washing machine too! Highly recommend Oakridge resort!

We had a studio apartment so would book a 1 bed apartment if cooking

We used a studio room connected to two hotel style rooms to suit our family of 5 - the combination worked well. The pools and spas were great. The gym and cardio room have a great selection of equipment

The rooms were a bit dated relative to other places we stayed on our NZ holiday, and the resort is a bit to far for a stroll into town

Everything. The pools and spas were absolutely wonderful. We loved the one bedroom apartment- it was perfect for us. I could imagine returning every time we visit Wanaka. I love that it’s just out of the township as it’s private and quiet and relaxing. Its the perfect oasis to reach when coming from hectic Queenstown or the remote environment of Haast. We didn’t try the restaurant or day spa options but they looked great! 10/10 everything I want and need.

The only thing I would mention is that there aren’t extra towels provided for pool use - this wasn’t an issue for us as we drove and had our own swim towels, but I’m also sure that if you asked reception, they would likely provide extra towels if needed. I think it’s actually to lower environmental footprint so it’s actually a good thing but it’s not as convenient not having extra towels.

I loved the space of the property! So good to have plenty of parking space, and throughout the car parks. Nice little pathways to get to the office, gym, restaurant etc. Pools were nice and relaxing! So helpful that the pools are open late. The gym was incredible - for a hotel. We expected something alot less. Room was spacious and super clean. Balcony that wrapped from living room to bedroom was neat. Lots of outdoor bins and recycling.

Our two tvs in our room and lumounge couldn't mirror, chromecast, or connect to anything other than live TV.

Place and facilities were lovely as well as the staff. Loved the washing machine and drier in the room!

The double bed was super comfortable, but the couch bed offered was average. In fact, very uncomfortable. Would have liked if the bar and restaurant were open on Christmas day, particularly given that nothing else in Wanaka was open for Christmas Dinner (apart from a couple of ethnic restaurants).

(1) We stayed as a group of 4 adults 2 kids. We got three rooms all in one townhouse . Very happy with it. (2) The warm pool is clean. I enjoy the relax in it and watching kids splash in the pool.

There is no water jet in the pool for massage.

The room was very comfortable, tidy, clean and modern, nice and quiet and relaxing. The hot pools are amazing and a reason enough to stay

with the growth of Airbnb I feel consumers (us) are beginning to get used to certain 'home comforts' that come with private apartments, these might include kitchen utensils, bathroom or living room comforts beyond what might normally be expected in a hotel apartment. This is by no means a complaint, more an observation, for our experience with Oakridge was great, but would be even better with a more featured kitchen, and more homely living space.

Location to town and ski fields. Our room was away from road traffic. Stunning view of snow covered mountains. Room got sun all day so was warm and cosy to come back to after a day on the mountain. Spa nice to have at the end of the day.

Do away with the little plastic bottles of shampoo etc and replace with ones that can be refilled. This would support the resorts environmental stance. Would have preferred the bed to be a proper double bed rather than two singles pushed together.
