*Quiet room/hall with comfortable bed and spacy room *Friendly hotel staff *Amazing breakfast buffet with a lot of options: hot food, cereals ans yoghurt, fruit & veggies, gluten-free/vegetarian etc *Luggage storage available for free after check-out *Location is alright

*Bathroom and shower bit small but ok *Location is good but the 5-10min walk to the city center can be off-putting since its a semi-rough area with some shady people. Hotel area and busy city center is fine but this short area in-between has some dodgy people. We didn't experience anything bad though, just be aware of it

Very good location on an easy tram line into the centre of town. Very good breakfast and friendly staff.

It does not have any discount for parking..

The hotel is in a great location, close to the city centre - the tram stop for lines 11, 12, 17 and 18 is only a few metres away (it's 2 short stops to/from the central train station). There's also a lovely river which you can walk and cycle along just next to the Anker Hotel. On the other side of the river is the Grünerløkka district with cafes, parks, indie shops, bars, restaurants and vintage shops etc. Staff were friendly, efficient and helpful, everywhere was very clean and tidy, the room (budget double) was a good size with space to keep luggage, a desk and 2 chairs, plus a small coffee table. Two twin beds. The shower has good pressure and temperature. There is also an option to pay a bit extra and request a late check out at 14h00. There's a room next to reception where you can leave your luggage and a big lounge area, with free tea and coffee, also on the ground floor, where you can wait/hang out. Breakfast is a very generous buffet with lots of choice of hot and cold, sweet and savoury options (fruit, cereals, nuts, eggs, cheese, meats, fish, salad, bread and crackers....). You can request a kettle for your room, and there's a small area with 2 irons and ironing boards on the ground floor. There's also lots of space to sit in the lounge with soft seating and tables and chairs, if you want a change of scene or to meet up with others.

Overall it's a great place to stay and I would definitely stay there again. I'd just suggest a few minor improvements: The beds in my room were quite soft and one had a bit of a dip. Also the windows don't open very much, probably for safety reasons as there are 12 floors, but it got a bit hot (in May). The shower cabin folds away against the bathroom wall, which is a smart idea, but there's nowhere to put your shampoo etc. and no bath mat. It's a walk-in shower so water can go out onto the bathroom floor, not a major issue, but a squeegee mop and a bath mat would have been helpful. The wifi was a bit patchy and slow at times. The lifts get very busy and one or other often seemed to be out of order so getting up and down can take a little while.

The hotel is located in the central area of Oslo less than ten minutes from the central station and the bus terminal. A tram stop is located in front of the hotel. The staff is very friendly, the rooms spacious and clean. The breakfast plentiful. I would stay there again.

Very friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, all in all the hotel gave a good impression. Versatile breakfast for people with no dietary restrictions.

Apparently diets are not an issue in Norway (something I noticed not only in this hotel) but it was anyways a shame that the breakfast was not thought for example for lactose intolerants and/or vegans. Concerning these diets the "allergies" corner was quite sad, with three alternative "milks" and lactose-free yoghurt. It felt that almost all non-dairy foods had milk in them (scrambled eggs, pancakes, fish cakes...), and of course the normal version, not lactose-free, though that'd be just as easy to do. For a vegan there's even less to choose from. All the special coffees are of course also with normal milk, so at least one could offer barista oat milk - it costs more or less the same as the thin version.

Very good location: only 20 min walk to Harbor, and nice quarter Grünerlokka next door. Decent room (superior), with comfortable bed. Clean and quite modern standard. Very good breakfast buffet for a 3-star rated hotel. Helpful and friendly staff (e.g. for questions around parking). Parking opportunity in front of the hotel and in a Garage under it (doesn't belong to the hotel but it's there and usable).

Quite some "pressure" on the breakfast facility in the morning (it's a large hotel with lots of - sometimes chaotic or even a bit rude - tourist groups). Style is rather functional (don't expect many frills). Parking is not cheap (ca 33 Euro per night with a 24 hour ticket is the cheapest option), but that's a general Oslo issue.

Location was perfect. Easy access to bus and tram which lead to train stations and city center and metro. Breakfast included was excellent. 6-10 on weekdays. Easy to checkout. They let us check in early and option to store luggage if not possible. Queen room had massive windows and view to the river which was nice.

The door locking system was weirder than usual and staff did not mention it. Luckily checked door and key card. Door needs to locked separately with card or inside lock each time. Some renovation going on but not very loud. Some trouble with one elevator.

I recently stayed at this hotel, and I have to say that the location was absolutely perfect. Situated in the heart of the city, it was within walking distance of all the main attractions, restaurants, and shops. This made it incredibly easy to explore the city and experience everything it had to offer. In addition to the prime location, the hotel itself was also very comfortable and welcoming. The rooms were spacious and clean, with all the necessary amenities to ensure a comfortable stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that guests had everything they needed. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay in the Oslo. The location couldn't be better, and the staff and facilities were top-notch. I would definitely stay here again in the future.

The staff at Anker Hotel was amazing. They were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The curtains really helped during the summer and keeping the light out. The location was great and we just had to cross the street to catch the train. Breakfast was very delicious and they had a great selection.

We had to sleep with the windows open because there was no AC and it was very loud at night as there were many people, shouting and laughing that could be heard at four in the morning . The hostel was just down the street so I think a lot of the noise was coming from there.

Easy to check in, central location, helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast has an assorted selection, there is a separate section for gluten and lacotose- free, Wich also is a negative, because there is no other information about allergies. The breakfast staff is super helpful and friendly.

The markings of content in the food, there are only pictograms of a pig on the ham, what else is in there? The glutenfree section of bread have no other information so if you have a dairy allergy, or soy or egg you have no idea if you can eat it. The staff can only answer so much as the information they can find. Very disappointing. Noice from the hall and other rooms through the door and also bathroom.
