excellent location, very clean, good breakfast

Staff need to smile a bit more, most of them looked bored and disinterested with exception of man who checked us in (sorry didn’t get his name). Would only accept cash in cafe bar but they always seemed to be short of change which was very messy

The hotel was not the one on the beach we thought we reserved. We were sent to another one of the same name across the street. Minor inconvenience that people should be aware of.

Cooked breakfast items were cold Hotel lacks atmosphere Pool bar lady unfriendly, she couldn’t take card payment and everyday all day insisted she had no change when paying cash( bit suspicious of this tactic)

thought I had booked beachfront hotel not the rear hotel. should be clearer as has pictures of the beach hotel on the booking system.

The hotel is in a wonderful position with the balconies at the front looking over the sea. The rooms are spacious and have a balcony. The bathrooms are excellent 4 piece with ample fresh towels. If you require it the room will be cleaned and towels changed. We ate at the hotel every night and had a large selection of food to choose from and 6 courses. The staff at the reception were helpful in fact nothing was too much trouble, they were also very friendly and a delight to talk to. I would say this is the best hotel I've stayed at in 40 years of going away and I hope to visit again in February and again in December.

There was in my opinion nothing that could be improved.

5* location right on the beach. We stayed in a superior sea view with a balcony overlooking the water. A 10-min walk along the cliff to the old town. The beach was clean and really long. Breakfast was good with dates, local cheeses (goat cheese and round, soft cheese were so good), fresh mango/melon/pineapple, local coffee (meio de leite). Charging points on each side of the bed. Retro, Miami vibe. Italian restaurant (Trattoria Toscana) next to the hotel was very good.

Bathroom needs upgrading particularly the shower stall. Bed was so-so.

Proximity to beach, onsite parking

Two buildings look the same with same name and we waited in a long check in line just to find that we were at the wrong building

we had sea view room in the building by beach. fantastic view and ideal location, 15 min walk to Praia da Oura, 10 min to old town or centre, 15-20 min to marina. Beach and bar/restaurants all within few mins. Hotel very clean with spacious rooms, with fridges, tv, safe, hangers in wardrobe etc. Great breakfast selection included in room rate.

I would t say I didn’t like anything as hotel was great overall but a few improvements that would have made our stay even better are: 1)Tea/coffee making facilities in room 2)Water available to buy or machine to fill from. 3)Fresh milk used in breakfast coffee machine, it was powdered milk that tasted awful and didn’t have coffee with breakfast. 4)Showers in room are glass cubicles with frosted glass panels that are meant to give privacy but they aren’t wide enough these frosted panels and you can still see through, maybe couples don’t mind that but not ideal for friends travelling. One of us sat on balcony to give the other privacy for a shower. You cld resolve this with an optional shower curtain along that side of the cubicle

Rooms were spacious. The location was perfect. Beach was right there. The patio area on the beach side was great. Old Town was a 5 min walk. Rooms were clean. The pool area was nice.

The food can have more selections. If I was on half board I would be disappointed because you would be eating the same thing day after day. Although the rooms are clean, restocking the bathroom was not consistent. Also the toilet paper are small roles. 2 small roles would not be enough for a family.
