I can honestly say I have never had a more enjoyable stay at a hotel. It is just as beautiful as the photos suggest, and the location is also excellent (although be prepared for some steep hills if you have never visited Lisbon before). However, what stood out to us more than anything was the flawless service my partner and I received from all the staff at the hotel. From the moment we stepped out of the taxi, we were greeted by Yasoja, the friendliest and most helpful concierge and an absolute credit to the hotel, who took our bags and showed us to our room. To my surprise, we were upgraded to a larger room on account of it being my birthday, and the room we were given was superb. Spacious, clean and modern, with a free mini bar stocked daily and also bottles of still water. The bathroom was lovely, including a large shower and jacuzzi bath which I made full use of! Yasoja was clearly proud of the hotel and put every effort into providing us with all the help and assistance we needed, and we relied on him for a number of recommendations. Make use of him while you are there! We decided to dine at the hotel’s Mensagem Restaurant as we arrived late the first evening of our stay, and again we were not disappointed. The restaurant is located on the top floor of the hotel and boasts the most amazing views of Lisbon and the sea from its roof terraces. There are also a number of cozy booths, which is where we decided to eat. Every single member of the restaurant staff was polite and attentive, and it was an absolute pleasure to dine there. The food was fantastic, and we in fact had our evening meal at the hotel each night as we enjoyed it so much and it was so convenient. I also highly recommend booking the breakfast, which is buffet–style and includes a huge range of hot and cold food and drinks – you won’t want for anything! All in all, we had a wonderful experience at the Lisboa Pessoa Hotel and take away with us beautiful memories of our trip to Lisbon.

The only thing that would have made our stay even better would have been a larger swimming pool, but I understand that with the constraints of the old building this is not possible.

Excellent staff, helpful and very friendly. Good breakfast with great views over the city. Well equipped spa and gym. Superb location in the ‘old town’ part of Lisbon with good access to all the tourist sites and local transport links. Loads of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Would highly recommend but be aware that there’s loads of walking up and down hills and on cobbled streets

Modern rooms, comfy beds, great location, helpful staff. Their dinner recommendation was the best (Sacramento, a short walk). This hotel is convenient to the train, restaurants, shops, and was close to all the tours we had signed up for. You can branch out from this hotel in any direction and find historical places, food, etc. A short walk to other neighborhoods. It was a holiday while we were there, and was VERY HOT, and this hotel kept us cool (I took 4 showers 1 day!) and fed. The top breakfast/bar was nice and had a great view of the city. Would stay here again no questions.

They seemed to be short of staff in the restaurant but managed it ok.

beautiful room, excellent location between chiado and bairro alto, but very quiet. friendly staff. great rooftop terrace bar overlooking the city. Amazing buffet breakfast (including Cava) which was very reasonably priced (16 Euros) if reserved the day before (otherwise it’s 20 € which is still good). room was clean and designed beautifully. liked the Pessoa motive, together with a library of all of his writings and his history.

I really like the feeling of being welcomed! The staff was super nice and helped us with suggestions to get around in Lisbon. We arrived earlier and our room wasn't ready yet. However we could change, take a shower, use the facilities or go into the city with he suggestions they provided and they would make sure to call us when our room was ready. When the room was ready our suitcases where already there. Perfect organisation! Also the free minibar was a big plus and a nice surprise.

I would have loved for the spa to be open longer. I really would have liked to go at 9 in the evening.

Absolutely everything. The location couldn’t be any better. Close to many major sites and restaurants but on a quiet street. Beds were very confortable and the whole hotel very well maintained, thanks to Pedro the manager for his excellent work. Breakfast was fresh, varied and served on the top floor where you have a great view of the Maure Castle. Also, the hotel has an indoor pool with a sauna and nice lounge chairs where it is very pleasant to rest after a day walking. Finally, we would like to address a special thanks to Yasoja who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. We highly recommend that hotel.

This hotel is in the absolute best location in Lisboa. You are a short walk to Bairro Alto, the water, the main squares of the city, the shopping district, Pink Street, and the list goes on. Just an amazing spot to be when first exploring the city. When I inevitably return to Lisboa, I am 100% staying here. Amazing little breakfast, lunch, and dinner spots all close by. Loved the salt water pool in the spa, and the sauna actually got properly hot. Great spa facilities overall.

My number one wish with this hotel is that the spa was open earlier, and that the gym had a tiny little bit more equipment. A pull up bar would go a really long way, for example. Weights went up to 30kg.

Because of a 4 hour flight delay, we arrived in Lisbon at 1:00 am and by the time we were heading for our hotel in Lisbon it was close to 2:30 am (kudos to Cael car rental for staying open for us). We had called the hotel to let them know we would be very late. Having 24/7 desk staff was definitely a plus. Despite the tiny curvy roads of the old city, we found our lovely modern hotel. Parking is under the hotel from the back side… had to call the desk to open. Despite others comments about the tight squeeze… really no worse than most NYC garages I’ve parked in. Well marked lift up to reception area and we were off to our room. The hotel is tile-front on the outside and beautifully modern on the inside. The staff is friendly, professional and impeccably dressed. The room was spacious, comfortable and very up to date. Very comfortable bed and bath. Most of all the room temperature control worked! The location is great. There’s a lovely outdoor cafe a block down the street along with shops. The hotel is within walking distance to almost everything… although you might want to cab it to a few. The breakfast is excellent and served from a rooftop dining area with beautiful views of the city. Our only regret was not staying longer.

Loved everything.

This is a lovely modern hotel in the heart of old Lisbon, with its own underground secure garage, which one of the staff guided us to ( around the back of the hotel). It has a spa facility ( free to guests but we did not have time to use it!), a very nice top floor restaurant, bar and roof terrace with great views. Our room was large with a very good bathroom, huge bed, plenty of space for the clothes we had. All the staff were friendly and polite. Location was great, just a 5 minute walk to one of the main squares, Praca Rossio, and 10 minutes to the waterfront. Right nearby are some small family run restaurants which, whilst not looking much from outside, provide a truly authentic and affordable dining experience. We would highly recommend both Cacador de Oliviera on the same street as the hotel, R da Oliviera au Carmo, and El Duque on R do Duque, about 2 minutes walk away. I had a superb " Sea Rice" dinner there, like a seafood risotto but better! Breakfast at the hotel was exceptional, a huge variety of hot and cold dishes, with lots of fruit and vegan options. Overall, I would say that the hotel provided us with a top class stay for our 3 nights, and was worth every penny!
