Nice, big pool in lush and green gardens. Very large area with bananatrees, orange trees etc. Also a playground for the little ones. Parking for everyone behind gates. We stayed in a big appartment with two bedrooms and a kitchen/living room. A big terrace and semi-private garden (semi-private because open for everyone, but every appartment had their own limited space and I saw no one going into our part in our 9 days there). We loved our stay here.

It could be nice just to be able to buy and ice cream or a soda/beer on premises as nothing is within walking distance.

The property was great for our family. We were a group of multiple families booking together. We were able to be booked all next door to each other.

We did come home to a few cockroaches on the evening. Maybe some insect spray would have been handy. Internet connection was not good.

Super friendly staff. Fantastic housekeeping (I was very impressed). Large, clean, comfortable apartments. Good beds. Good air con / heating. Nice clean outdoor pool, open all year round. Even though it isn't heated, my kids still enjoyed a refreshing swim. Lovely gardens. Friendly cats. Our room had a fridge freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster. You can request a small portable oven from reception at no charge. Check-out is until 12:00, which was really helpful! This is a really great place to stay.

The apartments have sliding doors instead of windows (which is great!), but some of the locks didn't work that well, and probably need adjusting. The coffee machine is located in reception, but it would be better in the room. The hotel would benefit from some indoor facilities. They have a big room, which they hire for events with nothing really for guests. There is a pool table, but unfortunately they have no balls or queues (we asked at reception). These are all minor things. This is a great hotel, and I would recommend it.

The apartment was clean and had everything you need for a longer stay, kitchen, lots of space inside, outdoor terrace, beautiful grounds, staff were very friendly. Plenty of parking space in the car park. Dogs are accepted for an additional fee

The breakfast is poor, the products are not fresh, lacked taste - the only drawback

Its located in a nice and calm place. It’s very well maintained, it’s looks like a garden. The houses are cute and spacious.

The only thing I have against it is the mold smell. Be sure to turn on the dehumidifier as soon as you arrive

The apartments were clean and had everything we needed, the grounds were beautiful with a nice area for children to play, the staff were very friendly and the room was cleaned every day. Plenty of space to park in the carpark.

Beds were quite uncomfortable. The pool was beautiful but had too many chemicals in.

Peace and quiet (apart from some neighbours dogs) away from the busy city. You're kind of in the middle of the island so you can go pretty much everywhere. Everybody speaks good english. I got an unbeatable price, if I ever visit again, I'll make sure to check this accommodation first.

Note to management: people usually choose a room on booking based on looks very much, so it should be what you see is what you get. Reception staff was very nice to accomodate me in my booked room after 2 nights.

the Hospitality of Mr Joao and the hard work and his criativity to make the place look good and better everyday its amazing ....besides the beauty of the Portuguese Island , the exotic places we visited....coming back to our room was a delight...and an amazing place to see surprises on everycorner of mr john property

stay longer would be better

Beautiful position. Large apartment on the first floor of a two apartments' unit (Gladiolo) with well separate rooms and all comforts. Large bathroom. Room service was unexpected and appreciated. Immersed in beautiful gardens with great vista. Nice pool.

A pond next to our building unit caused the presence of the only mosquitoes we met on the island in the whole week. The mosquito net at the windows left small but not-negligible openings and a large beetle took advantage of that to enter our apartment. We found the pillows uncomfortable.

The apartment complex had a great athmosphere as it was sourrounded by a small botanical garden. The apartment itself was quite spacious, modern and well equipped. There was daily cleaning service.

There were many cats around the apartment buildings, you couldn't really open the doors or windows to refresh the rooms since the cats could easily sneak in. It happened a few times. Also, we 'met' two giant cockroaches in the apartment two times during our stay.
