they should add more options on the breakfast menu but the ones that they have are quite delicious.

Mosquitoes. Lots and lots of mosquitoes. It’s a common problem there in san juan but quite annoying anyways. They may think about some mosquitoe nets on the windows and maybe some wall plugs as well

I absolutely loved this property. Hands down the most beautiful, relaxing stay I’ve ever been. The design and detail to relaxation has been executed so well that I was actually a bit in shock how nice it felt just to walk through the front doors. You enter through a lovely corridor lined with plants and come to courtyard filled with sounds of water and the smell of incense. We stayed in room 7 their most affordable room but felt as if we’d booked the best. All the rooms have private outdoor bathroom/patio areas which by far was the cherry on top. The common spaces make you feel like you’re at home or in a very peaceful safe space. Although it was all vegan options we felt no limitation with how tasty the meals were!

Nothing. I enjoyed the full experience of staying here.

The atmosphere of the hotel is tasteful, but I would advise updating the decoration in some places and more carefully hiding the flaws that reduce the good class of the hotel. For example, the kitchen for a chef is at a high level in terms of visual beauty, but the cheap ones are already questionable in the rooms where we stayed. Somewhere the wood cladding is already laid out or poorly processed. the cabinet doors are a little broken but still functional; the refrigerator handle is not installed properly; in the first room that we were given, the air conditioner could not cool the small room in the hotel room, the staff kindly changed our room the next day and we were already happy with the second hotel room. To summarize, a hotel with its own charm of privacy and tropical nature.

Although it wasn't a planned stay (I was stranded in San Juan due to weather) and it was pouring rain, immediately the ambiance of the property elevated all of my stress and made me recognize this was a serene space to reset. I was there less than 12 hours but felt right at home and enjoyed the comfy bed, having a tea in the community area, and enjoying the outdoor shower surrounded by the sound of the rain and the coqui frog sounds. The staff was also so friendly and took the time to show me all around the property even though it was late at night. I feel so fortunate to have stumbled upon the Dream Catcher and will definitely add it to my next stay in San Juan.

Absolutely nothing.

I loved the location and services. We had breakfast included and it was delicious. The chef is such a kind person!

The restrooms truly are outdoor and while you’re issuing the bathroom or brushing your teeth, you get attacked by mosquitos. The concept, in theory, is romantic and creates a magical getaway vibe, but in reality, every time we opened the room door to use the bathroom facilities or access the mini fridge that was outside, the room we would have to close the door so quickly or 5-6 mosquitos would fly into the room. This sounds silly, but I don’t want to have to bug spray myself just to go to sleep when we’re staying in a boutique hotel. Camping is one thing, but this place truly is a comfortable experience, so this mosquito bathroom issue was entirely killing the vibe.

The property is beautiful and unique. You feel like you are hidden away in a garden, yet you are just a short walk to the beach. The common spaces are very nice with several tables and places to relax. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The rooms were cleaned and new beach towels were provided in the room each day. I would definitely go back and stay again. We also liked that the property was in a gated community and had plenty of safe street parking.

My mom, who stayed in a room with an outdoor bathroom, said some dew from overnight made the toilet damp, but overall she liked the room and experience.

I loved the outdoor bathroom, the coziness of the hotel, the location, the staff, and the cleanliness of the hotel. It's great to note that the hotel is located within a gated community, making it a safe location for tourists. I also appreciated that the hotel provided two chairs and towels to take to the beach which was at a walking distance.

I would have enjoyed options that are not vegan/vegetarian at breakfast, at least whole milk as an option for the provided coffee.

I enjoyed interacting with the staff and the cleanliness of the hotel. The location was excellent, and the nearby restaurants were convenient and reasonable. I felt safe, which is important to me.

This sounds terrible, but I don't drink coffee or tea. I wish the hotel had soda (Coke). I get my caffeine from Coke or products with caffeine. I did not choose this hotel because it was a vegan hotel; I chose it because of its location. That being said, the change was refreshing. This is a bad habit for me. What the hotel had to drink was perfectly fine.

A delightful small hotel, with thoughtful design elements throughout and a beautiful walled garden in the middle of a dense suburban area. Room was very nicely decorated and enjoyed the attached "outdoor" shower (very private). Hotel is fairly distant from many San Juan attractions, but if you have a car, it works well. Also many restaurant are walkable in 10 minutes.

Site says "free parking" but the hotel has no parking. At the front desk, I asked and they said "the parking on the street is free." This is misleading and need to be corrected.

We loved our stay! The staff greeted us with a warm welcome and a short tour of the hotel. The small garden courtyards are magical, and each room or suite is decorated in a unique style—with character, not clutter. Be aware that the private bathrooms may be outdoors (with lovely modern plumbing!). The suites have terraces with hammocks and chairs. Tropical plants are everywhere. There are lots of thoughtful touches in the common areas—coffee, tea, and water stations, a communal kitchen, board games, beach equipment, even a bucket of sunscreen tubes. The breakfast is great, too. Neighborhood is chic and quiet—we listened to the fountains and the coqui frogs at night! The hotel is just one block from the gorgeous Ocean Beach, which is perfect for people who like to walk for miles on a long, clean, sandy beach. We will definitely be coming back!

We liked everything! But people should be aware that some bathrooms are outside (under a roof and totally private). We loved taking outdoor showers, but if you want an indoor bath be sure to call and request it.
