A wonderful, old property full of history and antique furniture, but with a lovely, large, modern walk in shower. Peaceful and quiet but within walking distance of the town centre. Complimentary tea, coffee, water, biscuits and wine in the room. I only stayed one night and left straight after breakfast. A delightful breakfast served on a huge wooden dining room table shared with other guests accompanied by entertaining anecdotes from the host. As much as you could possibly want to eat with plenty of choice. I woul advise staying longer. I was told about an excellent free walking tour which I would do next time.
It was all perfect.

Richard the host was extremely welcoming and made us feel right at home in his beautiful home. The bedroom was fabulous and Woo our dog got just as big a welcome as us. The bedroom was beautifully presented. The bed was extremely comfortable as were the pillows. Loved the enormous bathroom with both jet shower and bath tub. The breakfast room is stunning with a huge selection to choose from. And the pulley system still in use which I should have filmed. Host was courteous, informative, welcoming and with a great sense of humour. Would highly recommend. A hidden gem of Bath. We will definitely return and hope to bring my parents.

The house is really special, it's like staying in a museum! We wanted a room with a bath and while the bath was down a couple steps in another room, the bathroom was clean and the bath was lovely. The breakfast was great too, continental but with fresh fruit, pastries, boursin etc every day. The walk to the town can be done along the canal path which is beautiful and serene and takes 25 minutes.
Parking is limited. Assumed bathroom would be en suite, which it is if you're happy with a shower. The candle holder in the hall is a bit odd but guess it's of its time?

It was a fantastic stay! Richard is a great host and an exemplary gentleman. We felt looked after and welcome. The place is out of a Downtown Abbey story. The stairs that welcome you as you enter and the original old church floors add an air of mystery and grandioseness. My partner was certainly impressed. Breakfast was perfect and a bit too much for us - we felt spoiled. And the stories accompanying it were getting us more into the historical period of the house. We plan to be back. Thank you for hosting us!
Nothing to dislike. It was a great stay!

The Grosvenor Villa is a beautiful, historic place with plenty of charm. Richard, the host, was informative and accommodating. We stayed in a large room with a comfortable king bed. The host provided snacks, tea, and water in our room. We had to head downstairs to the bathroom, but we had it all to ourselves and it was spacious and clean with a tub and a walk-in shower. Richard shared interesting stories with us about the history of the house. The house is gated, but the surrounding area is safe. We took the bus into the town center but could have taken a scenic walk there as well. The complimentary breakfast was outstanding. Richard provided many options and even brought more food to us using a dumbwaiter. The food was not only plentiful, but delicious.

Grosvenor villa was just beautiful! What an entrance into the building. We were welcomed in by Richard and felt right at home. Richard was an amazing host. He was very friendly, witty, and entertaining. Richard was full of knowledge and suggested lots of things to do in and around Bath. The hotel was well located, just a lovely 20-minute walk along the canal into the city. Our room was perfect, with a very grand bed which was very comfortable and i had a great night sleep. The room was clean and had good amenities, including complimentary bottled spring water and wine. The bathroom was big and very clean. Breakfast was an experience, you are sat around a large table in a very grand dining room. We got the chance to meet and chat with interesting people from all over the world, and Richard was great morning entertainment. He put a huge smile on all our faces, which gave us a great start to the day. We were very happy with our stay at Grosvenor Villa and would highly recommend it, and we would definitely stay again!.

Continental breakfast was lots of fresh fruit, compote, yoghurt, porridge, toast etc and was delicious. The location was great for us. We could walk our dog off the lead along the tow path and into Bath. Lots of green spaces around to enjoy. A bus stop outside if you didn’t want to walk. Such an interesting property with lots of history. Great host, very friendly and helpful. Very comfortable room and loved the space in the private bathroom. We enjoyed eating at a local pub the Rose and Crown, also the Deli in Larkhill.
Can’t think of anything.

Loved, loved, loved this place…!!! It was so quintessentially English, with an incredible level of attention to detail. Our room was spotless with a very comfortable bed, and so very quiet. Our host Richard was fabulous…!!! He made our stay. Funny, entertaining as well really knowledgeable about the area as you would expect. He gave us great guidance about our options for the limited time we were there that felt tailored to us.
Nothing..!!

The property was exceptional both architecturally and comfort. Great situation in Bath, bus stop out side and we managed to have secure parking. Room was amazing which had the benefit of a huge bath downstairs. Breakfast in the dining room excellent with a large selection of fresh items. The best bit was the owner who was amazing and because of his wonderful sense of humour and stories have booked to go back. FABULOUS
Was all pretty amazing

Good communication, friendly host in a beautiful and historic house. The room was full of character very comfortable and with a spectacular 4 poster bed! Bathroom compact but modern, clean and very functional. Good continental breakfast with fresh fruit salad, home made porridge, pastries and good coffee. Service and breakfast room were exceptional.
nothing, just would have liked more time to relax in the house. I was lucky with parking but that could be a challenge. Currently road works make access slightly harder (very minor point)
