Was literally just a one night stay for us, but could not fault the hotel staff, the look/cleanliness of the hotel. The reception smelt amazing! The car park was full on arrival so had to use the multi-storey round the back, which was fine, just a faff if needing things out the car, plus was more expensive than the hotel car park. With regards to the hotel it’s self, the only negative for us was that the toilet was not part of the bathroom, but in like a cupboard style room with no window or sink as soon as you walked in the room, so then your using the toilet, touching the handle to get out, walking into the bedroom opening the bathroom door before washing your hands, not really a bit of us.

The location was good for us to attend a conference at the utility stadium and the local restaurants for a meal.
One of the male staff members in the restaurant was very rude to the two females and one male at the breakfast table next to us. They were having a conversation and laughing and he told them they needed to be quiet. They were not particularly noisy so they and we on the next table could not understand why he felt it necessary to approach them and insist they were quiet. The car park is very small, and difficult to find. I had to phone the reception to find out where it was and how to get to it. Once we entered the car park there were very limited parking spaces left.

The breakfast was pricey at £18 each however if you booked the day before it would be discounted to £13.50. Again that's expensive for sausage and bacon. The hotel is pretty central to everything so it has a great location with a weatberspoons over the road with a cheaper breakfast. Th hotel is very good and only reason I gave 3 stars on cleanliness was due to the carpet stains in the room. It looked like someone had vomitted and it had stained around the bed. It's not the hotel's fault the cleaners had done their best to clean. Everything else was spotless though. The bed was very comfy and with the black out curtain I slept sound.

When we arrived, the lady at the reception was very nice and kind, and she was willing to change our room on a whim if needed. Overall, it was a very good stay. The restaurant is very nice with good food. Our eldest had a blast watching the pancake machine make his pancakes. The location was amazing for what we needed as we wanted to be as close as possible to the Christmas Market and other places we planned on visiting. Although there were bars and restaurants blaring music down the street, the room was lovely and quiet.
The room was clean. However, the bathroom needed another going over as there were hairs left in the bathtub and on the floor. One of the sides of the cot provided was broken, but that did not affect its usage. However, for an older baby, it could prove dangerous - so that should be looked into. I found it quite sad that I had to ask for a teaspoon for my baby and to be told I had to request one, as many customers nicked them from the hotel in the past. This is horrible on the customer's side, not the hotel's. We found the food at the restaurant a tad expensive for what was offered, but this is what happens when food comes with a gourmet label.

I can't fault anything about the hotel, Me and my family really enjoyed our stay, including our 1 year old, it was her first time in a hotel, she was so excited. We even extended for another night. There was a nice size cot for her to sleep and our double bed was very comfortable, good night sleep. There was a gym and sauna, we didn't have chance to use unfortunately. The breakfast is worth it. There was hot buffet breakfast, along with cold buffet breakfast. Options for gluten free, and dairy free. Loads of options for hot drinks and cold. Pastries, cereals, toast, fruit etc. The hot buffet breakfast was very good, just the classic english breakfast. There was even a small play area for kids to play at the reception. Staff was fantastic, so polite, very helpful. I would gladly come back to this hotel again

Great location on Broad street. Good standard of accommodation, breakfast is likewise good. Stayed there before and will likely stay again when in Birmingham.
I arrived a little after 14:30 and was told my room was not ready. Like a lot of hotels they have a policy of charging for early check ins (before 3pm). Went back a 15:01 and my room was ready. This is not the first time I have done this. You can store your bag should you arrive before 3pm, but many other hotels have a little more flexibility. Novotel seems to be pretty rigid on the 3pm check in time. Not a big issue, but this inflexibility shows policy is more important than giving ‘that little bit extra’ to the customer.

The location is great as it's a 10 minute walk to the city centre. The room was clean, decent size, good price! We also got upgraded to an executive room for free, which was really nice of the staff! The hotel was secure as you needed to use your room card to activate the stairs and lifts.
With the location being so close to the city centre, there was a lot of outside noise of people going out on the night and constant honking of horns from cars. I am a light sleeper so it was difficult to sleep with the noise outside but that is something expected with it being central.

The room was comfortable and staff even had the sofa bed set up before we arrived. And the hotel's location gave us really easy access to the activities we had planned - just a short walk from Legoland Discovery Centre and the Sealife Centre and a short tram ride from the City Centre. Every member of staff was helpful and so kind to me and my kids. Breakfast had a truly amazing selection - even for my fussy eater. The whole trip was an absolute dream from start to finish.
Absolutely nothing - it was all really great.

Brilliant location for nightlife, shopping & attending events in the NEC. Paid £13.50 for breakfast and it was superb. Loads of choice and food was hot and tasty! Underground parking was convenient. Cheaper to book this through Just park than direct with the hotel. Roller shutter door meant it was secure and you need to walk in & out via hotel reception. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Very comfy bed. Tea & coffee making facilities. Mini fridge, safe and iron & ironing board in room. Hotel decorated beautifully for Christmas. I would stay here again.

Changed our original hotel to this one as it has secure underground parking which the previous hotel didn't and the public car parks near by have had repeated issues with cars being broken into and stripped for parts. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was a good size and clean. The bed was really comfortable.
The car park does cost £18 a day (worth it compared to the cost of repairing your vehicle if you get unlucky plus the peace of mind knowing its safe). The room didn't have air conditioning which meant it got a bit stuffy but we were able to open the window to cool down but you will have a lot of noise coming from the street and the clubs. There was only one plug on one side of the bed which was slightly annoying. Also if you are over 6ft, you may have an issue with the shower as you can put it all the way up but it will completely lose water pressure.
