The staff are lovely and helpful. The bed was comfy and room very clean 👌

The reason I'm giving 8/10 are a few things. The gym, whilst clean, has ONE single mat which is ridiculous, and it was falling apart. They need a few more. The room had a fridge but it was noisy and there was no access to turn it off. The lobby area had been sprayed with a super strong perfume or similar and was extremely antisocial to people who are sensitive to perfume. Just little things that add up making it 8/10. But I'd stay here again if it was a good price compared to other nearby hotels.

As a group of 4 women we all commented on the fact how safe we all felt by the security on the door was a nice touch we split up once we all got bk into hotel to grab some food the other two ladies went to grab the food and when coming back a man tried to follow them in the lift and they told security that he was acting strange and was asking what room they was in security was prompt and said to the gentleman let's get the ladies in the lift first and then waited till they got off before allowing the man to get in reception staff was excellent room was spacious bathroom was excellent overall had a great time there couldn't hear any traffic or music perfect night at the hotel

I had an email of the hotel at like 6 am to remind me checking out was 11am so that woke me up but what i didn't like was we had a knock on the door thinking was our friends and was the cleaning lady it was 9.40 and she said when we leaving I said about 10.45 ish and she was like oh and pulled a face so I felt like I was rushed and she was quite rude I'll leave when I'm meant to not when she wanted us to id understand if It was around 10.40 and was asking but was like 1.30 before check out

Room v good lot of tea coffee great shower and bed was comfortable

Well if I was young and wanted to be near night life it would be amazing But we were passing though in to Birmingham Airport and staying two nights and one for journey home First night because of late arrival we got there at 315 am and being shattered from traveling from IOM on ferry and 3hour drive fell into deep sleep pretty quick but second night the terrible noise from venues close by made it very hard to sleep until 330 or 4 am . Note just the sound but actual vibrations god only knows what it would be like in st or the clubs!

Everything was nice and clean. Was in the Executive King Room

There is nothing negative within the hotel. However, the people next door to us, we constantly slamming their door every 8 - 10 mins, for about 2 hours solidly not sure, what was going on. Twice, they slammed the door so hard we literally felt the bed shake. Our room was on the side where you heard a lot of music from the clubs below. I will definitely make sure in the future I ask for a quiet side. Stayed at Leonardo loads of time. This is the first time I had to give negative feedback. Remember, it is not the hotel, it's other people and surroundings.

The hotel is in a very good location, attractions close by, good places to eat, and amenities within walking distances. The rooms were clean, house keeping done to a good standard although in bathroom bin there was chewing gum present upon checking into room. The beds were comfortable and the room comfortably warm.

Breakfast was quite disappointing for the price I paid £36 for an adult and 12yo. There wasn't much options for vegans other than the sausages and beans, the mushrooms despite being under the light was bearly warm to cold, which was unpleasant.

Very happy with the Leonardo Royal - had booked for a show at the ICC - hotel was just across the road - a very short walk. Staff were very helpful, room was a good size - larger than most hotels - and very clean. We ordered room service after our show and the food was good and reasonably priced. Would happily stay again.

The room order service was a little difficult - my husband rang the number asked and was put through to an answer phone and was left not knowing if the order had been registered / would arrive, so rang reception who were also puzzled that he had been connected to an anasphone. Reception staff sorted everything out, though, and were very helpful.

Nice and clean and lovely scent in rooms. In the distance the hotel looked monstrous in size and dated (think 70’s concrete tower block) and was worried about my choice, but as soon as got inside was very pleasantly surprised. Clearly been refurbished recently and done to a very high standard, I’m normally very picky and can easily find faults with rooms, but was immaculate and very nicely redecorated. Only issue found was inside door to bathroom is blistering due to water damage from the way the shower is, this looks shabby but rest is great. Price was great too for what we got but was a random Thursday beginning of Jan so not sure if this is a typical price!

The condensation on the outter window blocked our view which was a slight shame! But seeing as we got upgraded can’t really complain as wasn’t expecting a view anyway and no idea what they could do about it! Room was a bit too warm during the night and there is minimal sound proofing.

Lovely bed not too hard, not too soft with crisp lined and substantial pillows that supported your head. All quality toiletries provided, towel selection -& face flannels! Bathroom decor very clean & new and big walk in shower. Reception was spacious & beautifully decorated for the festive period. Lovely bar and lots of seating areas all around with plenty of space. All staff were polite and attentive and ready to help or explain. We ate in the restaurant and the selection of food was good. The meals were good. Breakfast was superb- omelettes cooked in front of you, fab choice of cereals, bread, butter, Marmite, cold salads and hot food, unlimited juices and hot drinks. Again the staff were helpful & were on top of any spills and tidying areas. The hotel is very central and has lots of bars restaurants and clubs in the vicinity. We visited Symphony Hall which was a five minute easy walk. It was a random choice to stay here as I’m not familiar with the area, but I’d stay here again for sure- and will now look up other Leonardo properties. Parking was in the Q park a short walk away (but I’m always pleased when it’s Q Parks). Oh- the lifts were practically supersonic!

Nothing.

TARAN was exceptional. The hospitality to customer service. She was amazing, allowed me to pay early for me and the Mrs. Looked after us and amazing customer service skills. Managed to catch her on when checking out as well day after Christmas, definitely one of the most awesome staff as she was in good spirits for Christmas and up for a friendly chat and laugh. 100% recommend staying here. Stay was amazing, initially booked the standard double but got free upgrade to superior king as we checked in on Christmas day. Facilities was amazing, very clean and amazing. Bed was super comfortable too. Got a WELL NEEDED SLEEP! Will be back!

Taran at reception gave us both a really lovely welcome to the hotel and in spite of the reception being busy at the time of our arrival we still felt very welcome. The room was very comfortable and the bed and the shower were wonderful.

The lift service wasn't very good and we seemed to have to wait some time for a lift to arrive. The bulbs indicating the selected floors were faulty and not working in a particular lift for the 7th Floor. The only other thing is the cheap toilet rolls in the bedrooms - Given the price for a stay at the hotel it would have been nice to have some decent toilet rolls.
