No pad for writing, no pen, no writing paper or envelopes. I dislike pump action shampoo in bathroom. Lean taken too far for a supposed 4 star hotel. I went up briefly to get a pastry and when I can back coffee, orange juice and plate had been cleared already along with napkin. Over eager staff tells me they are pushed hard- uncomfortable hovering- needs to be more relaxed for diners.

We would like to thank you for a fantastic stay. Vinny the tech guy & heating guy, you are fantastic and great at what you do. To Kyle, Arthur and Falis, we appreciate you also. You provided an excellent service. To the lovely gentleman that created the spinach, ginger and pineapple in the mornings. You are amazing, that juice was absolutely delicious. Please make more...at all times lol. Also to the person that delivered an anniversary treat. Thankyou it was a lovely surprise. And last but not least, Gabi at the front desk. What an amazing representation of your company. She went above and beyond to help me at check in and throughout our stay. Cant thank you enough. Really loved the lounge access through out our stay aswell. Was really worth it. Thankyou for a lovely time. If you are thinking of staying here, don't hesitate. that we couldn't stay longer

I love this hotel, literally one of my favorites in the world, having known it for years as a (very) occasional visitor. Everything about the building is super, with one minor exception (see below). Everything, without exception, is super about the staff, from cleaners to reception, via the splendid doorman and the lovely waiting staff: they all seem like old friends, not least as almost all of them greet me by name every time I see them! It's always spotless, everything always works and everyone always wants to keep guests happy... The location couldn't be better for me. Almost part of the Symphony Hall, where I'm invariably attending a concert, and right by the tram stop from New Street Station.

I hate non-opening windows, though I grudgingly confess that the forced-air ventilation system here almost converts me! Slightly more importantly, I wish there was a flexible hose on showers rather than a fixed pipe. Make of that what you will! I know it's petty, but you did ask. My response is an answer to your question and absolutely not a complaint...

Clean perfectly placed for the theatre with an enclosed bridge walkway. Bar nice and comfortable. Staff excellent. Bed comfortable views from 15 th floor fun

The room was very cold , when we arrived so we put the temperature up went out. Came back it not got any warmer . So went to bed . Woke in the morning and the temp had not changed so we wanted to go and do something so we left . We wasn’t asked if the stay was enjoyable. We totally love the hotel and stayed when we go to Birmingham . We did request room 501 and said they do there best to accommodate us but w I hen we had the key card we was given 514 over looking the eatery .we know can’t always accommodate so can’t complain . Was just the cold room as I got medical issues I struggled to be warm all day . Sorry to give little negative feedback back . Hopefully

The rooms are really nice and the views are amazing. The ability to have breakfast in the room is a great option as it beats trying to navigate the restaurant at busy times in the morning.

The check in could be streamlined through technology- I know that some guests may need to have paper documents and passports checked but most people will not. 45 Minutes to check in is not really customer friendly in this day and age. There needs to be more directions to parking, there is a car park on Holiday street that doesn't get a mention on the website but others further away do. Other customers also may want to address their approach to this hotel and realise that its not The Ritz and you will not have paid £500+ a night in most cases, there is no need to vent at check in before the check in time!

close to city, clean room standard noting special. the bath could be bigger, very small. Great breakfast though with very nice and caring staff. Nice nice pool area

not a fan of paying for parking when I stay at hotels. and in my opinion. Discount should be given to people that are willing to part at the hotel and not further.

Breakfast was the best we have ever had. The choice of food was vast and the service provided by staff was exemplary - special mention for Salina and Vinay who went above and beyond to ensure my daughter and I had everything we could possibly want.

I didn't realise when I booked that the swimming pool was only for children over the age of 12. My daughter enjoys swimming very much so it was disappointing to find this out when we went down to the spa. I have since read the confirmation email in full and the age limit was stated in that but I do not recall seeing this information on the website when I booked.

Staff were very helpful and friendly, the room was clean

The TV is a Smart Tv, however it is not possible to open youtube, netflix, etc. or neither it is possible to connect your device to the TV. There are some movies to watch, but they require payment (this is the first time where I see this in a 4 star hotel) . The swimming pool in the spa was cold. The bathroom in the room is poorly designed, there is no drainage on the floor and after shower, you can literally swim in the bathroom.

Rooms clean well maintained, and large. The hotel was well decorated and maintained to a good standard, the staff were very polite and helpful. The food in the bar and breakfast was excellent, access to Birmingham ICC across the bridge ensured everyone looked perfect for the evening. There was 9 in the party and everyone enjoyed their stay.

Parking was a squeeze, I was informed of this before arriving at the hotel so was not surprised. I used the male toilets in the main lobby and the toilet paper roll was very difficult to get paper out of it, should be fit for purpose.
