This was our 2nd time in the hotel. Last year we stayed here also in the first half of December and liked it, that’s why we decided to stay again. This time was much better though. If I could give more than 10, I would, because the staff and the organization of the hotel this year really went beyond our expectations. I could say many things about the good and quiet location, still with many good restaurants and good beaches around to go, about the good price, about the comfort, about the flats having all the things you may need, about being possible to check in a little bit earlier if they have the room already empty and clean, but this time I would like to talk about the care they spread out to the customers. During our stay (one week) we received 2 calls from them, asking if everything was good and if we needed something one email with information about their numbers, time of closure of the pool, how to use the deposit box inside of the room, how to have access to the gym etc, and got also contacted by them via WhatsApp (you can opt out from this contact if you want). Apart from that, we needed to leave our luggage after checking out, because the checkout is at 10am and our flight was only in the evening, but we didn’t have any problem with that and they even offer showers/bathrooms for people who are already checked out to take a shower before they leave. We spent the whole day at the beach, came back to take our luggage, took a shower with their shower gel, towels, body lotion etc, and left more than happy with all the experience we had there. Thank you, guys for everything. We will definitely come back.

All of the staff members were super friendly and keen to help with anything. The hotel is well located and the apartment had everything needed for cooking etc. The balconies were super nice, equipped with sunbeds, chairs and a table, especially when staying with a young child so there was no need to always visit the pools.

The floors were a bit dirty and the cleaning of the apartment overall could be improved. Other parts of the hotel were very clean though. The swimming pools were freezing could but understandable since our visit was in December.

I liked the location and the friendliness of the staff .

I wasn't happy that for the week I was there they only gave me clean towels twice . And it was impossible to get a bed at the pools . There isn't enough sunbeds for the amount of guests . You had to try book a bed 24 hours in advance which meant you had to be there at around 8.30 to get inline . I was on my holidays I don't want to be up that early . But if you didn't you could not get a sunbed. This is the only reason I won't be going back to the sunset bay club

The location was great!! A short stroll down to beach . We had a two bedroom apartment In A block for 5 people which had two bedrooms and a,sofá bed very spacious. Kitchen had dishwasher cooker fridge freezer and every cooking untensil you could need. Two bath rooms one was a onsuite a Large balcony with sea view which had two sun loungers which I loved Lots of nice restaurants in walking distance. I highly recommended these apartments very clean I Will definitely be going back next year ..

I have stayed here before and it didn't disappoint on my second visit. Highly recommend the Splash Bar for drinks, food and plenty of entertainment from the staff. This is what draws me back to this place The location is amazing! Two minute walk to the town, five minute walk to the beach. Ten minute taxi to Las Americas. Couldn't ask for a better location When stayed before had 1 bed apt and the balcony and living space was huge. This time had a 2 bed and the balcony was tiny and the living areas appeared smaller. Did it matter? Not really. Would have appreciated a bigger balcony but didn't ruin the holiday. The bottom pool was freezing lol. The top pool apparently is warmer but very hard to get booked in up there so we gave up and just spent time on the bottom pool

We had an excellent stay at Sunset Bay, it’s not our usual holiday having always stayed in all inclusive package type holidays before. I have to say I’m converted to this style of holiday, we both agreed we felt a lot more relaxed and free to do as we wanted this holiday. When you go to the high star all inclusive places you almost feel like you’re on a timetable; breakfast, lunch and dinner are at allotted times unless you head out for food, you spend your days by the pool all day or beach so you don’t lose your sunbed and as much as it is lovely, I have to say you can’t beat going somewhere where you feel free. Home from home type of experience with the self catering if you want to stay in and cook you can, you eat when you want, where you want, what you want and you just feel relaxed, no pressure to do anything which is exactly you what we needed. There are plenty of places to eat in and around sunset bay, every meal we had was lovely, lots of options and they definitely cater to all. The bars we went to were all brilliant too. We went for an exquisite meal at Besame Mucho, a 25 minute walk from sunset bay as recommended by our absolute favourite person we met on holiday, Alex the entertainment guy at Sunset Bay. Moving onto the staff, the top pool is where we spent most afternoons and this was due to a few factors: 1. The pool and sun beds which were really comfy 2. The lifeguards, in particular Eduardo who is quite possibly the kindest man ever, he made sure everyone was looked after and happy and went out of his way to check everyone was OK especially the families with children who he was great with! 3. The top pool bar staff, who were the most genuinely nice people you’ll ever meet and finally 4. Alex, entertainment who made it fun, he’s a great guy who we became very fond of. Great location albeit a bit hilly. Very friendly staff spotless apartment well fitted out. Super facilities. Will definitely be back.

Absolutely nothing

Spotless Apartments equipped with everything and very spacious, Helpful Front Of House Staff and Cleaners, supermarkets and a range of places to eat drink or relax

Booking sunloungers was no problem for us as we did the day b4 as asked, we were lucky it was quite but the top pool lifeguard gave our beds to other people one morning and afternoon and refused to ask them to move we were on time and specifically booked those one it was irritating he was quite rude but that was the only complaint we stayed down at the ground pool lifeguard was much more friendly and fair your bed you booked was yours every other day.

Excellent location, fab spacious apartments, very well equipped kitchen with extras like milk, tea coffee, paper towels, wash up liquid, cloths etc, bonus was free filtered water on tap

The restrictions on the pools are shocking, book the day before for morning slot, everyone put out at 1.30 for cleaning, just a nitemare, takes the whole relaxation out of your stay, to be honest won’t return unless this changes! Also you have to pay €6 for the gym which is a rip off considering there is nothing in it to justify charge

Great location, close to the beach shops and Siam park only a short bus ride away. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Apartment was sprayed after we notified them of cockroach problem.

Didn't like having to book the pool and if I did book I could only book for either the morning or afternoon. Our accommodation was on the bottom floor so we had a problem with cockroaches in the apartment.
