The family room was two rooms with connecting door. There was enough space. The bath towels were fluffy and thick. Hotel de la Paix has one of the best locations in Lausanne, close to downtown, but still has its quiet side.

The family room was actually different from the photos that posted on the booking.com. The one posted is the suite with Lakeview, which we stayed for the very first time in 2018, therefore I recognise those photos and thought I could get the same room when booking the family room. As 5 start hotel, I would like to see front desk staff with a more professional appearance and attitude.

We stayed in an amazing suite made up of two rooms with a shared foyer. The small balconies opened to beautiful view of Lake Geneva and the French Alps. The room for two was really spacious with a big washroom. The other room for one was also comfortable. The suite was decorated with beautiful furniture and comfortable coaches. We enjoyed the room and view so much that we did not feel time wasted resting in the room every afternoon after sight visits. Room facilities including water kettle, ironing board, automatic balcony shades were all very nice. We also had fun exploring other art pieces in the rest of the hotel. The hotel is located within a short walk to the closest city train station as well as supermarket. Also many restaurants around and shops. Staff at the reception was friendly and helpful

There is much to be improved regarding breakfast. Food quality was okay. But during busy times supplies of food and cups ran out. Only 1 out of 3 times were we able to get real hard boiled eggs (which had to be separately ordered). So in the last morning, we just gave up. There could be more choices in terms of food too.

Location is perfect, lots of restaurants in walking distance, metro stations, e commerce in general. Staff is super nice and polite. Hotel has an awesome view to the Lake from front room and the restaurant at the terrace. Supermarket COOP is just across the street where there's a restaurant with a good buffet selection. They have a vallet service that costs 28 CHF a day and is very a good deal with you have a car, since parking around is difficult and you can come and go as many times as you want and count on the vallet service. During the summer having the Air Conditioning was a plus !

Wi-fi was a bit inconsistent.

no power points or usb by bed. restraunt was a training ground on a Saturday night. Head waiter maid more mistakes than the trainee. Charged 21 chf for dog could comunicate the charge before booking

We booked the Suite with Lake View and what a view it was! It was two separate rooms with a shared entrance - one huge room and one regular sized room. The main room had three balconies with lovely views of the lake and city. The beds and pillows are very comfortable, and it was nice to have couches and chairs to relax on. Our room was made up every day and fresh towels replaced, which is rare these days. It was very hot when we were there (34 C or 93 F) and our AC kept the room nice and cool. The location is excellent - near the shopping and old town and just a quick metro ride down to the lake.

Beautiful, comfortable , clean. Great location, breakfast included and it was very good, lots of choices. The terrace restaurant was fabulous, the food delicious. Alan was great . I went up almost last minute and he was able to rearrange and get me a fabulous table for dinner for 4. He went out of his way to accommodate my party. Our suite was beautiful and I loved the view and the location so close to everything. Beds were comfortable. Had a kettle which I loved and tea and coffee was provided.

I really don't understand European hotels with chintzy pillows. I would have liked a firm pillow but that is about all I can complain about.

The hotel is well located for walking to Old Town and Cathedral. Also able to walk to good restaurants. The room is clean and comfortable. We love the view from our lakeview room. Staff are efficient and polite. The front desk lady (I think her name is Mia) made a very good recommendation for a cheese fondue dinner in Ouchy. My family enjoyed our stay very much.

Nothing about the hotel! Just a feedback that it was difficult to figure out best way to get to hotel from Lausanne train station from the hotel website. If arriving at train station, the most direct way appears to be walking up a sloping road for about 10-12 minutes. This was a bit strenuous due to the uphill and with luggage. However, we discovered later that taking the metro from Lausanne Gare to Bessierres (around 5-10 min) and walking less than 5 minutes back to hotel was much easier as walking was flat/ down the slope. We took the latter way on check-out to return to Lausanne train station and it was a breeze.

A very well located hotel, that actually I know but never had been inside, I used to live in Lausanne, love that city and would love someday live there again. Well long story short, lovely location, staff very polite and ready to answer your questions, breakfast had a preaty fair consistency, didn’t need to bother with parking, and all was very clean.

The price should be little bit less, but is ok, I understand the costs of the business of nowdays, but as Lausanne is not sooo turistic, it could be less expensive, but not a deal breaker. The pillows please change them 😂 they are not confortable at all, only that. Breakfast not too much variety, for me is ok, I only eat eggs and yogurt, but for some people like my wife who love variety it could be better. Its a 4 stars come on 🙂.

The hotel looks and feels like a palace. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. A beautiful view from the room window had the Lac Leman (Geneva Lake) with Mont Blanc ridge in the background. Very convenient electric receptacles near the bed. The trip from Geneva Airport was very convenient using train and switching to a taxi. Hotel is close enough to the station, but taxi ride was not expensive. The restaurant provides very high quality food. We did not arrange breakfasts, but visited it for a dinner. The tap water is great. No need to buy bottles. Shower and bathroom were great 'old fashioned' (no transparent wall or door). Air conditioning and heating were super quiet and effective. There are plenty small cafes nearby. There are high-end famous brands stores around the hotel. The Cathedral subway station is nearby as well as several bus stops.

The Swiss beds everywhere are too soft and too hot. Not comfortable for those who like firm mattresses and pillows. The hotel restaurant is too expensive. At least it is not worth to include breakfast in your booking. The payment process is very confusing. Finally, I paid extra $60 as the hotel uses its own currency conversion rates and fees.
