While the room itself was small, we had an incredible balcony with a view overlooking the Chapel Bridge. The hotel also provided vouchers so we could enjoy a nice dinner at the restaurant downstairs. The vouchers nearly covered our meal and we had a great table on the water looking at the bridge. Very centrally located and staff were friendly and helpful in recommending things to do around the area.

Our room was a tad small, but the view made up for it. Also, watch out for spiders!!! Can't stress this enough and no one tells you, but Lucerne is full of giant spiders and we had a couple hiding around our room and that flew down in front of our faces as we opened our balcony doors. The room signs say don't leave balcony doors open with lights on to avoid mosquitos, but in reality, do not leave your balcony doors open for even a second or you will have massive spiders in your room!

The view of the chapel bridge from the balcony is fantastic.

We went at the wrong time as there was a carnival at Lucerne at that day when we checked in. We actually like the quiet and peace there when we visited Lucerne last time. It would be added advantage if the hotel would inform us during our booking that there will be a carnival. This time round is too noisy for us.

Absolutely lovely hotel on the river with the most amazing view of the river and the Chapel Bridge. Very, very comfortable bed with enough pillows. Our room had a stunning balcony and luckily it wasn't too cold so we could appreciate the stunning view quite regularly.

If I had to nit pick it has to be the shower. It works perfectly but I don't like showers very much and definitely not hand showers. To be honest it is only that had a problem so it is a me issue and not the hotel. We also encountered these types of showers at all the other hotels we stayed so it seems standard for Switzerland.

The room was absolutely perfect. The pictures online were old and the room had been completely renovated when i got there with a new bathroom. Views from my balcony were stunning and it was perfect location to pick up bus and train or walk around the shops. As a lone female felt very safe even at night. Staff were friendly and helpful Lovely firm bed and warm room. Loved the flexibility of the food vouchers which i used for both breakfast and dinner Would def stay again thanks for a lovely New Yr memory

The hotel restaurant and staff were extraordinary. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were very nice with beautiful views! The woman manager in the restaurant was extremely helpful and attentive to all your needs! She was wonderful !

Although everything was wonderful. We would have preferred a king bed over two twins pushed together

Location, location, location! Central for everything you need and all sights within walking/ tram distance Lovely breakfast and the vouchers for 18.5 CHF nearly covered the cost. Room a little small but we had a balcony looking toward the river - lovely bathroom Driving into Lucerne is not easy - miss your turning and you have to go miles out of your way to get back. The instructions for parking were not clear and it would have been helpful to have received a map with the confirmation email. It was expensive but then so is all of Switzerland - we still Did plenty & strongly recommend the golden route to Mount Pilates - get the tram 1st & save the boat for the return journey

Nothing really

Instead of getting a free breakfast, we got a voucher for 18.50 francs for each of us for each day. This did not pay for a breakfast each day or it might have paid for an ok dinner or lunch. This was not my expectation but I might not have been thorough in reading what we got beforehand. On the last day we each had pancakes (3 small pancakes with a small amount of fruit which used up our remaining balance. We asked for syrup and they said that would be extra. Really?? Staff at front desk were helpful.

The location was incredible. The restaurant was great. Food and service were great except for one person who was very rude and refused to bring me more sugar for my tea and accused me of stealing sugar. (I drink my tea with 4 spoons of sugar per cup and one packet of sugar just doesn't do it for me.) This same person questioned me and other people who entered the hotel through the restaurant as if we were walking in only to use the restroom. It was rude when I was staying there and eating every meal in the wonderful restaurant. Other than those two incidents, the staff was nice and I enjoyed staying there very much. I'd stay there again. Next time though, I'd spend more to have a room with a view as my room just looked out to the wall of another building. It was not "a city view" as it was billed to be.

Our room had a balcony that overlooked the Chapel Bridge. Great location to everywhere. You can walk everywhere from the hotel. The room was beautuful and the bed, bedding, etc were top quality. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the evening sipping wine. The breakfast was top quality and very good. Everyone was very helpful.

No air conditioning, however, leaving the doors open at night, cooled us enough, so it was OK. It's very difficult to find the hotel. They need to come up with a map with instructions. We were frustrated for a bit, but after calling them, they gave us better directions!

Good location 10 minutes easy walk from train station. Rooms were big and comfortable. Breakfast was in their restaurant and not included in room but I received breakfast vouchers that covered coffee, rolls, bread, and jam, but you could then add to the order a la carte. It was an odd system, but made what would be an expensive breakfast more affordable. the waiter was amazing and nice. I also ate in their restaurant for dinner and food was good. As with everything in Switzerland, it was expensive. Staff were great all around.
