We booked the room with a spectacular view of the Matterhorn directly facing our balcony. The service staff (Valerie n Barbara) and the kitchen crew were excellent in customer service. Very friendly, polite and knowledgeable in the surrounding area and shared valuable tips on the various attractions. Booked a taxi for us when we checked out. The hotel is near to restaurants and pubs. They even have swimming costumes and trunks for loan to use at the hotel spa. Modern bathroom fixtures, and there's a USB charging point in the room. The pine wood interior made the room very cosy. There's a choice of hard or soft pillows to choose. Just ask the reception staff. Buffet breakfast was rather substantial.

At least 15 -18 minutes walk from the train station. No shuttle bus provided.

Just off of the "main" area of Zermatt, offered really nice views of the mountains and town below. We didn't have a matterhorn room view, but the spa did. The spa itself was a highlight we enjoyed after the day skiing! Facilities here exceeded what I had in mind. The hot tub had Matterhorn views and was a great way to unwind. Also close proximity to chair lifts and/or free bus that could take you to another at the mountain base. Breakfast was also very nice with a variety of cold and warm options. The hotel itself is situated up-top a small hill, which can "feel steep" if brining luggage and/or ski boots, etc. Although, was no issue for us and also 2 separate ways to walk down from, 1 right from the ski room itself. For each day you request "no room service" you receive a gift (E.g. candy and coupon for drink or future discount), it was a nice touch in addition tot he tea / coffee cookies they had available in the lobby. In addition, they happily welcomed my kitten who came with me, and provided him a nice bed and dishes.

Our room was exceptionally clean, modern, large and had a beautiful view of the Matterhorn. The ski room and boot warmers were very convenient. This was especially helpful on our first day as we arrived early - we dropped our bags at the front desk, used the changing rooms, rented skis down the street, and had a full ski day! The spa was incredible - outdoor hot tub with a Matterhorn view, two saunas, a steam room, and comfy lounging areas. Perfect after a long ski day. The breakfast spread had pastries, eggs, bacon/sausages, fruit, cheese and meats. Hotel is centrally located - easy walk to ski bus to get to Furi and about a 10 min walk from the main train station and Sunnegga lift. Would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend!

great breakfast, easy check in

rooms are quite small - no space to open two baggage at the same time. if you follow google maps to get to the hotel from the train station, you will have to go through some steep roads and many many steps (stairs) to get to the hotel so traveling with baggage was quite difficult for us. But we found an alternative road after that which didn't require that many steps, although slightly longer route. Also, we booked for the room for the matterhorn view but the weather was quite gloomy we didn't really see matterhorn and we only saw construction view from our balcony. the property across the hotel was under renovation.

Nice staff ,Great view facing matterhorn ,they have balcony where you can sit and enjoy coffee and the beatiful view ,yes they do have free coffee in the lobby 🙂.room was big enough for 2 with closet and a nice seating area in the corner .. Our room was 202 where I could actually see Matterhorn from my bed thru window .. Good free breakfast

Hotel is a bit uphill and around 15 min from train station/no shuttle ..we struggled to get our luggage all way there .so if someone has mobility issues ,get a taxi they have plenty of them at train station .we were told it is 17 chf . That being saiid ,I would stay there again

This quaint hotel was a wonderful place to stay in busy Zermatt. We had a wonderful view of The Matterhorn from our balcony. The staff, especially Barbara was very helpful, as well as being bright and cheerful all of the time. The breakfast was also very good! It was just a bit out of the center, and we liked that because it was quieter than down in the very center. It was still very conveniently located to everything. We really appreciated the “thank you” that they offered on any day that you did not need your room cleaned. Nice touch. We would definitely stay here again.

location was in a quieter and more peaceful part of zermatt, still within a walking distance from the train station (do not that the shorter route recommended by google maps includes going up a steep slope, so do take the slightly longer route if you are keen on walking, or take the taxis). room was cozy and comfortable and we absolutely loved the view that we have from the balcony :) breakfast was lovely and delightful and the staff are very friendly and helpful!

I can’t speak highly enough about this property - the location, staff and quality of the hotel itself was great! We loved all the little touches they provide for their guests (e.g. 24/7 coffee machine, free biscuits, self-service bar and the option of a free drink or discount on your next stay if you opt to not have your room cleaned). The sauna, steam room and whirlpool was fantastic, especially on a sunny afternoon and the breakfast was of a great standard. We feel this is the best hotel we have stayed in during our visit to Switzerland and would definitely stay here again!

One of the few family friendly rooms I was able to find in all of Zermatt. King sized bed for adults downstairs, and twin bed and queen sized bed in the loft. The view of the Matterhorn from the room was literally stunning! Couldn't get over it. Convenient to have breakfast available at the hotel, nothing fancy, but it was quick and convenient to grab breakfast before hitting the slopes. The spa is wonderful! Open from 4-730PM daily, but available to rent for private use before/after that. We rented the hot tub every day after skiing from 3-4PM. The views from the hot tub are magical!

The king sized bed in the room is 2 twin beds pushed together, which is fine/typical in Europe. However, there was a wood beam down the middle of the bed which was uncomfortable when trying to snuggle. Otherwise beds were comfortable.

Staff so awesome and friendly, and the hot tub/spa area was amazing after a day of skiing. Their breakfast was delicious, great variety of cheeese, bread, fruit, meat, juices. Also had great expresso machine that you could use 24 hours. Another one in breakfast area. We also had a great lofted room which was perfect for our college daughter.

We didn't love the walk to the bus stop. (really was just about 5 blocks), but with ski boots and carrying skis.... Probably next time would rent a locker right at the base of the mountain. The hotel did have a super nice ski storage space though. Splurged on a taxi a couple of times which was $12 francs direct to the ski area for 3 people.
