Everything was wonderful. Room was spotless clean and comfortable . The big brown chair was the best part of the room. Best place to relax after a long day. Staff is friendly and nice.

The only negative thing is that the church next to the hotel loves to ring their bells . 15 min before full hour they start ringing their bells non stop 10 -15 min straight. Absolutely horrible, but clearly hotel can not do anything about it .

The location was fantastic! Close to the Zermatt train station, as well as midway between the two slope access stations Sunnegga and Matterhorn Express. It was a three minute walk and an elevator ride to the free bus which serviced both ski areas. We had a self catering studio that was large and really well equipped including a hot plate and oven. There are grocery stores 10 minutes walk away but also a small well stocked convenience store less than five minutes. Very close to the main drag we had plenty of options for restaurants. The spa and sauna were wonderful after a long day skiing. We really enjoyed our stay and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We were extremely happy with our accommodation!!!!

The pillows weren’t great

We are forever grateful to the Matterhornblick for evacuating us from their hotel during this summer's flood which filled their basement and caused them to lose all power. They arranged for all of their guests to stay in another, more luxurious hotel at the same price as the Matterhornblick, and found a chef to make dinner for all of us in the new hotel's kitchen which wasn't normally open for dinner. With the roads and train still cut off, we were also allowed to stay for a second night at the Matterhornblick's rate. We will never forget their service and generosity in spite of all of the damage they must have suffered to their property. It speaks also to the values of all of their staff and to their owners. The hotel is in an ideal location, and I hope everyone will consider staying with them as soon as they are able to reopen.

We stayed in Chalet Ritz with small kitchenette and the room was excellent in everyway. We were across from where you store ski equipment, so it was very convenient. Julen Sport also delivers and picks up your ski equipment (and gives 10% discount) which made it very convenient even though it is a 10 minute walk to Julen Sport.

My daughter and I didn't love the breakfast options, but I think it is what you would expect at a 3 star hotel. You have to boil your own eggs and the only other protein options are the cold meats. I am gluten free and though they didn't have any GF offerings, they were happy to order it for the next day. The coffee and drink options are very good.

Check-in was very good with one of the owners in attendance - a very efficient, enthusiastic lady. We had a ground floor room in the annexe, which had a rather strange entrance, down some stairs & through the ski-room but not a problem. Lights were on a movement alert system. Breakfast was ok. One could only have boiled eggs - no other choice.

Breakfast choices could have been better - certainly a more varied 'cooked egg' choice. The lady owner is the driving force. Unfortunately, she was only there during initial reception & 1st day breakfast. Her son & another gentleman were 'on duty' for our subsequent breakfasts and didn't have the same efficiency as 'Mum'.

Cute hotel very close to the Zermatt action, yet not in the middle of the busy street. The staff was lovely and helpful and breakfast selection great.Spa facilities are quite handy for some relaxing time at the end of the day!

We had a studio room at the subsoil (-1) of the Ritz Chalet. Although facilities were great and neat, it had a strong smell (probably caused by humidity). We felt it wasnt the room itself, but the entire subsoil including corridors). After a day leaving the window open and airing the space the smell faded mostly, but I would recommend to avoid -1 rooms.

Super cozy room for a single traveler. staffs are friendly. Nice breakfast. I will definitely go back again.

Loved the property. Pristinely clean, great firm mattresses, lovely breakfast each morning and coffee/tea available 24/7. Loved the spa downstairs which we used each day after we got off the mountain. Also, the location was unbeatable. Would definitely recommend!

The steam room wasn't really working during out stay. I didn't mention it to the hotel because the finnish sauna was perfect!

Location and Facilities are really good. the studio we were in was roomy, with a nice spacious bathroom, had a Nice small kitchen area and a big window opening to an outdoor patio. the Ski room is comfortable and you are also close to the bus stop to the ski areas. I gave It top marks because It was charming, comfortable and the staff was very friendly and competent.

a good breakfast, but no real cooked breakfast available

We loved this property. Owners are really nice and very helpful. We thought we were a little out of the way, but we were not. If you are walking from the train station, you head toward the Matterhorn on the main street and turn left just before the church. It's the first property down the hill, just beyond the cemetery. If you continue to walk to the end of this stretch of buildings, you have a bridge with one of the BEST VIEWS of the Matterhorn. We LOVED breakfast. They offered self-boiled eggs, toast, yogurt, fruit, pastries, cheeses and cold cuts, cereal, etc. They served hot coffee and tea. They also included juice. We had a lovely 2 bedroom apartment with a balcony. They had a great hottub, sauna, food whirlpool, all free and well maintained. They also pick up and drop off at the train station.

I wish I knew they had units with views. I am not sure any of the apartments do because they are in a building behind the hotel. Our view overlooked the yard. I would have LOVED a view of the Matterhorn. I can't think of a single negative about this except that we couldn't get the heat to work (they immediately delivered a portable electric floor panel for us). The room phones don't work since they switched to digital from analog.
