The breakfast was fabulous. Huge variety of cereals, fruits, fruit salad, yogurts, meats, cheeses, and scrambled eggs. Superb coffee. The room was clean and bright. The bathroom was fabulous with a huge bathtub and nice strong hot shower. And of course, the view of the Matterhorn from the room was spectacular.

There was no elevator, which could be an issue for some people with mobility issues. The shuttle bus could’ve been closer but really a five minute walk to the shuttle bus is pretty good. The shuttle bus took you to any of the three major lifts accessing the Zermatt ski area.

Seraina welcomed us with a big smile. She personally came to pick us up from the station. The room we were allocated was a good spacious one with a nice view of Mount Matterhorn. The weather was pleasant when we came to zermatt. It was raining a bit. The room has all the facilities. The bathroom was also spacious. Their breakfast spread is good. The hotel is managed by very good people. My compliments to the entire staff whose name I missed asking.

There is no lift in the hotel So we have to carry the luggage ourselves. I wish they somehome incorporate a lift there. But all in all its a good hotel and i will highly recommend

Everything! Very friendly lady at reception - very comfortable room with tea and coffee - stunning view of Matterhorn and balcony with beautiful geraniums - quiet location, just far enough away from the busy main street but still central - ample breakfast in bright cosy breakfast room, which was never crowded.

Only that the bar never seemed to be open when we came back in the evening :)) ... Otherwise, just the minor irritation of building work taking place next door - but it was round the corner out of sight, actually very little noise, and of course only during the day when we were out most of the time. And naturally this was not the fault of Hotel Dufour.

The breakfast was excellent! We love the variety of fresh cheeses/meats/cottage cheese… The bread choices were numerous. We enjoyed the choice of nuts and muesli bar, and the fresh fruits… As you can see, we really enjoyed the breakfast you serve. I hope you can continue to provide such a wonderful start to the day start to the day. The breakfast room was very bright and cheerful and clean.! Location was great. We liked that. It was away from the city center…. but it’s still within walking distance of wherever we wanted to go. Sara Maria was so helpful with the many questions we had. She was very gracious.

We stayed on the third floor… So carrying heavy suitcases up the stairs was a little taxing, but we still enjoyed staying there. We had a great view of the Matterhorn from our shower, and of course, it would’ve been even better if we would’ve had one from our main bedroom.

Went to Zermatt on a whim to hike, and booked this hotel last minute while walking thru town. It was outstanding!! We stayed in room 15– highly recommend that room (book the double room with the “landmark view”). Ended up with a stunning sunset view of The Matterhorn right from our balcony! Also the bathroom in that room is super cute, the ceiling opens above the tub for a really neat vibe. Lovely little place! The innkeeper was kind enough to get us a couple of to-go cups of coffee as we hurried out for a day of climbing, but the breakfast spread looked stunning!! Truly wish we could’ve stayed longer. A great place!!

The room promised a good view of the Matterhorn - and that's exactly what we got! Beds were comfortable, and the room offered a good range of facilities. The hotel was centrally located, within easy reach of local restaurants.

The location of fittings in the room wasn't well thought out - electrical sockets especially. For example, the tray with tea and coffee-making facilities had to be perched on a chair before we could plug the kettle in. We got the impression that the hotel was understaffed - there was often no-one at the reception desk, and when items on the breakfast buffet ran out, it took a long time to relace them.

Amazing view of the Matterhorn from the balcony. The room was decent size and was the balcony. The breakfast was great with a great selection of cereals, granolas, breads fruits and more. Mini fridge with drinks was available in room.

The shower was incredibly short with the shower head only going up to at max around 5 1/2 feet (1.7 meters). Also there is no elevator so be prepared to lift your luggage up multiple flights of stairs.

We had a great view of Matterhorn from our balcony and were lucky to have amazing weather to see it every day. The staff were really helpful - the woman on reception advised us on a lovely low level walk for the afternoon we arrived and all the breakfast staff were very friendly and professional. The room was traditional in style but very well equipped and included a kettle and minibar and plenty of proper hangers. The breakfast was excellent- the best we had in Switzerland.

View! That view from your bed straight into the Matterhorn! That was epic! Arrived late so next morning was "wow" when curtains were opened :-) Fancy interior and cozy breakfast area. Delicious breakfast. Not sure why it's only 2 stars. It's worth more! Working heaters in the bathroom was a huge bonus in this time of the year. Staff was very hospitable. Lady on our arrival day has been waiting there for us until we came already after 9PM.

Fantastic location, not far to walk to ski bus, close to good restaurants & supermarket but out of earshot of the apres-ski hubbub. Very friendly and helpful staff. Immaculate traditional room with an excellent bath, unexpected view of Matthorn through roof window and handy ski room downstairs. Excellent breakfast in a lovely dining/chillout space. Exceeded expectations, especially for one of the most reasonably priced hotels in town.
