Perfect. Super nice staff, with experience and good advice to help you planning your sight seeing route in lieu with the unexpected weather. Breakfast is marvelous with a la cart choice and self serve food.

10 minutes walk from train station to hotel, you may consider to take their mini car with fee in case you have a lot of luggages,

This was our second time staying here. It is a fabulous hotel with exceptional staff. The hotel is beautiful with all the carved wood. They greet you like you are family, even on our first visit. The location is great close to restaurants, shops and the train station. The free bus picks you up right under the bridge to easy access to the Matterhorn express and many other areas around. The rooms are large with all the extras you could want. The chocolate treats at days end sweeten your stay. You'll love your stay here.

Nothing was wrong with the stay. While we were there this stay, they had a terrible tragedy. The weather caused flooding and landslides. They flooded, which is devasting to them, however their first concern were their guests. They made sure we were safely out and taken to adjacent properties to get warm and then had us moved to hotels that had not been affected. All the while they were devasted what had happened to them. I'm so sorry they went through this loss. I'm sure they will rally and be better than before.

"Our second visit to the Swiss Alpine Hotel Allalin reaffirmed why it's our absolute favorite destination in the Swiss Alps. As a family-owned and operated establishment, there's a special warmth and authenticity that permeates every aspect of the experience. From the moment we stepped through the door, we were welcomed back like old friends by the dedicated family and their attentive team. It's clear that their passion for hospitality runs deep, and it shines through in every interaction. The cozy yet elegant atmosphere of the hotel instantly puts you at ease, making it feel like a true home away from home. Our room was impeccably appointed, offering all the comforts and amenities we could ask for, with thoughtful touches that made us feel truly pampered. The culinary experience at the hotel continues to impress with its focus on locally sourced ingredients and expertly crafted dishes. Breakfast was a delightful journey for the taste buds, perfectly complemented by the warm ambiance of the breakfast (dining room.) What truly sets the Swiss Alpine Hotel Allalin apart is the genuine care and attention to detail that the family pours into every aspect of the guest experience. Whether it's arranging outdoor excursions, recommending local attractions, or simply taking the time to chat and make us feel valued, their hospitality is second to none. Our second stay at the Swiss Alpine Hotel Allalin was every bit as magical as the first, if not more so. It's a testament to the enduring charm and quality of this family-run gem in the heart of the Swiss Alps. We can't wait to return for many more unforgettable memories!"

My reviews are far fewer and selected and only written when I have felt that it is massively deserved. Having said that: - Location: This hotel is at the end of the main shopping street, right next to the photography view point at bridge and at a calm and chilled location. - Service: Family run business have sometimes let me down, but this is beyond par, they already need another star to make them a 5 star experience, from the welcome drink to mints on the table, day pack for loan, cake at request, Breakfast food that looks more on classical Alpine and on the fancy side(Pancakes). Caring and asking about their guests and also making sure the guests are well taken care of their every needs! More than any hotel or chalets in Austria, Italy or Germany have ever done before. Rooms: They are a charm in their own, the view of Matterhorn from bed- day and night is mesmerising and unforgettable. Beds are not super comfortable, but better than Mariott in some locations. The wooden inlay brings a feeling of royal holiday! Every little thing is catered for and has unique branding highlighted. All in all, me and my wife felt that this was not money well spent, but an experience beyond what we paid for (Disclaimer: Your experiences may differ from ours based on many factors, but not due to Hotel)

September Weather- Matterhorn view was blocked for 2 of 3 days we stayed

Staff were amazing and very friendly! Especially Simon, they gave us every thing we needed, welcome drinks, and any info we might find useful for the trip. They even recommended restaurants for us and told us to choose a cuisine, which they then recommended restaurants and made the reservations for us. Rooms were big and comfortable facing the mattehorn, good view with balcony that had blankets on the seats! Service was really splendid there. Location is could very near the central Zermatt and slightly away by a few steps so its not to noisy.

We requested for rooms beside each other and booked 2 matterhorn view rooms, but initially were given beside each other, but one with no matterhorn view as there was only 1 on each floor that could fit 3 people. Understand it was a miscom and they immediately changed our rooms when we requested. Just note thatt non matterhorn view is facing a cemetery, but its not creepy or ugly at all!

This hotel pays Attention to details. If you want quality with great service, stay here. The branding is very strong with their logo everywhere which shows how much they take pride in their establishment. We came to Switzerland to celebrate our 22th wedding anniversary and we fully enjoyed our stay there. Since it was snowing alot, we stayed in and sat by the lovely balcony with blankets provided drinking their awesome mint herb. We also had drinks by the lobby with the fireplace. We could excess our Netflix from their TV. Bonus for us. I would suggest paying for the pick up service to and fro from the train station especially if it's snowing alot. Pay the extra and go for the matterhorn View especially if you do not want to face the cemetery. Iocation is good. Walkable to the train station as well as the gracier cable car. Thank you for the lovely memories.

The complimentary drinking water and the do not disturb sign was kept in the cabinet. We needed to hunt for it. This hotel have evening turn down service like some ski resorts which means they will open the door to your room to place chocolates and tidy up the room for a second time in the evening. Since we could not find the do not disturb sign, the staff came in while we were in the shower. All these were sorted out once we spoke to the lobby staff. They are very quick to respond to alter to suit your preference. Great service! Perhaps, the hotel should inform guest about their evening turn down service during the introduction briefing so guest would be aware.

Everything! From the moment we walked through the door, we were treated like royalty. We were greeted with a glass of sparkling cider and an appetizer. The facilities are top notch and so is the staff. The carved wood throughout the hotel is outstanding. Our room had a perfect view of the Matterhorn with fur covered chairs on the balcony to enhance our viewing. Breakfast was amazing with every detail done to perfection. Would we return? In a heartbeat, we hated to leave. We never felt so pampered!

The location was great! It was located a little further off the main street, so it was a bit quieter, and had an amazing view of the Matterhorn. The staff was amazingly friendly and eager to suggest activities and amenities. It was easy to arrange for a shuttle to and from the train station for hauling luggage. It was nice to have breakfast offered at the property.

While I did enjoy the hotel's breakfast, I did find the selection to be limited.

Very well located close to the centre of town just off the Main Street, beautiful views of the mountains and surrounding scenery. The staff were incredibly attentive and happy to help with anything, preempting questions such a dinner reservations and hiking routes. Welcome drink on arrival was lovely too. The room was clean and fresh but still fit in with the traditional style of the area, and the balcony in the room was a lovely place to sit and watch the world go by. I had only booked to stay the morning that I arrived and so glad I did. Can’t wait to come back and stay again one day.

Nothing, everything was lovely.

The service was 5 star all around… from the second you walk in and how welcomed the whole family is cared for. Everything feels choreographed to make sure all your needs are handled to your expectation. The comprehensive included breakfast service stays open until all the guest have had breakfast.

Always think that a 4-star needs to have a proper gym, not just a wellness center
