Its just few minutes by walk from train station & by one call hotel management will send vehicle to receive u and that is free service for arrival & final departure from hotel. Location & managements are excellent 👌, so friendly & helping by going out of way , especially Mr Basti his kind attitude was exceptional...thanks Mr badti u made my stay so pleasant indeed.nice view from balcony, rooms are nig & very ckean , all services provided were exceptional, if I got snother chance yo stay in Zermatt, this hotel will be my first choice .break fast was delicious.

Almost everything was exceptional. We were initially welcomed by Andrea, who provided all details about our stay and then helped with ongoing questions we had. The room had a perfect view and very very clean initially and during the whole our stay (we sort of have a very high bar of expectations). We got a discount for ski rentals from the hotel and the location cannot be closer to a ski lift. Every day we enjoyed fabulous breakfast and the last night we had a dinner in the hotel restraint which was exceeding our expectations: the service was at the high level as well as food was delicious. In addition I wanted to mention the spa area, it gave us the proper relief after the whole day skiing. Having checked out we were delivered in minutes to the train station with the electric car. Finally I happened to forget my id card in the room, but it was kindly found and I got a call from the hotel. Andrea organised its sending to my home address, and I am really grateful for that.

We are used to living in the cold climate, so we were not very comfortable under heavy blankets, but we never bothered asking about their replacement with lightweight variants. I am pretty sure if we had done it, we would've gotten a proper replacement.

Hotel National Zermatt is the ideal family hotel for skiing in Zermatt. The location is perfect - right across the street from the Sunegga lift and two doors down from a great ski rental shop! The staff are friendly and professional and did an absolutely fabulous job of making us feel welcome. The hotel website does not do justice to the spa - a main pool, hot tub, and indoor baby pool, along with steam room, sauna, etc are fantastic. After a day of skiing, the spa area was perfect for our family - my husband and I enjoyed it, as did our infant and toddler. Breakfast is five stars! Hotel National has all of the luxuries and comforts a discerning traveler wants, but it's also a down to earth, family friendly place. If we return to Zermatt, we'd love to stay here again! Exceptionally clean - the staff keep everything in good order and are very responsive to guests' needs.

The staff ! The staff is so incredibly kind and helpful 🤩 I couldn’t have asked for more. This is really a family hotel with an heated pool and hot tub. They also have a kids room with toys, table, chairs and books. A really cool little spot for them to play while enjoying a drink at the bar. I only had one dinner at the hotel and the food was so yummy. They also have vegan options.

The room we stayed in was dated and the mattress not so comfortable but the staff, the food and the location made it for it.

The Hotel National is a great accommodation option in Zermatt. The room was fully renovated and spacious with nice details like L’Occitane toiletries in the bathroom. The Spa area is excellent, and the staff service is impeccable. One evening we had dinner in the hotel restaurant, which is also recommendable.

The only disadvantage of the hotel location is that it is far from the Furi ski area so, you need to get the bus to get there. Depending on the dates, buses can be packed.

The decor of the property was very traditional throughout the public spaces but the rooms were really modern. The staff were well prepared for our arrival and were very professional and friendly. The breakfast was great with a wide variety of buffet style items but also freshly made to order omelettes and pancakes. Location was great. A short walk (less than 10 minutes) to the main train station and gornergrat train. The weather was kind to us and we were lucky to have a spectacular view of the Matterhorn from our balcony. I would definitely stay here again. Couldn’t fault it.

Larger than average bedrooms in Zermatt .Lovely restaurant and spa ! Excellent staff . Albano at reception amazing customer service .Location for ski lifts and high street couldn’t be better .Collection from the train station and a lift back on departure .

The only thing was our room was very dark . No overhead lights and minimal lamps so not great for doing make up etc with 3 girls sharing . The only bright area was the bathroom .

The room was fantastic and very comfortable. We had a great view of the Matterhorn.

Our only complaint was the pillows, the Bed was amazing the pillows were one inch thick. In the morning I complemented the staff on our amazing stay, however, the pillows I said, they stopped me and said we know. They felt bad and said they have much better pillows if you call the desk. It sounds like a situation where a designer or someone made the hotel use the pillows.They were pretty but awful to sleep on. So just call the desk and get a “pillow upgrade”

Great hotel, freshly renovated, the family room (412, duplex with “boat net”) was spacious and well equipped. The Swiss cuckoo over the minibar is just a great idea !! Staff is very helpful and prepared. Breakfast was excellent and the restaurant manager (Laurent) is a great professional. The wellness area is amazing, modern, clean, well designed and spacious. The departure to Sunnegga is really 50 steps away, very convenient.

No heating control in the room. It was too hot and we had to open the window to bring down the temperature during the night.

National has a superb location right in front of Sunnega lift. Hotel stuff was very friendly and attentive. Rooms were of a very decent size. Breakfast was superb. Internet connection in the room was also great.

It would be great if lobby area would be open 24/7 to sit / work and for spa to work until 10 pm (currently it is working till 8 pm).
