Room was a good size one and quiet. on the quieter side of town

Should have been explicit that the extension of the hotel did not have an elevator. I had to pay extra to get a room in the main building since I needed an elevator to take our suitcases. When making reservations they should be more clear to say the extension wing does not have an elevator so not to be hit with an unanticipated bill. Also, I took coffee from the free breakfast to have in my room and I was charged for a full breakfast. I had to fight to get my money back. Need to be more clear on their policies and also availability of amenities

We wasn’t told when booking that we would be staying in the annex room we was slightly disappointed as we spent many weeks looking at different hotels and wanted to stay there for a reason but nether the less our stay was a dream , really romantic and something I will treasure for the rest of my life .

Location and the size of the room

there was no lift, we had to walk 3 floors. We were not in the hotel proper, our room was in the Annex, which was a building 100 meters away.

Highly recommend. Central and easy walk to St Mark Square, and the waterfront. Our first floor room was lovely - lift available - with ensuite including deep bath. Very high ceilings made it airy. Large comfortable bed. Staff were wonderful, especially the hotel manager. He organised our trip to Chioggia and made it very easy for us, including acting the liaison between water taxi and hire car as we had no phone reception. He even walked us to the water taxi and managed our luggage. He also recommended two nearby restaurants and booked our table. His colleague walked us to the restaurant nearby. It was lovely. Great breakfast too. Highly recommend.

This hotel is the best experience that we have ever had! Incredibly friendly staff and business owners that are always ready to help. Being a guest in Casa Verarda is like a fairytale when you find yourself at Venetian style maison with chandeliers, antique portraits, and mirrors. The interiors are amazing! Especially the dining room with tasty breakfasts. One of the best things is the location- the hotel is right beside a canal and is 10 minutes from the San Marco square. We still cannot forget that breathtaking view we had from our room on the top floor: canal and beautiful city roofs! Also, there was a wonderful garden with sofas. We highly recommend this hotel for your next visit!

The hotel is located in an old building on the channel, the rooms with wooden ceilings are quite spacious. Two minutes to St. Mark's Square and all attractions.Helpful staff. A good enough breakfast for Italy))

The Junior Suite in the photo is shown with one double bed and shows an open door where, according to the description, there are two more single beds. Thus, we had the impression that these are two connected rooms, but in fact it turned out that all three beds are in one large room. This confused us a little, we did not plan to live in four in one, albeit a large room. Everything else was great.

The location was absolutely incredible. Very central and within a quick walking distance to all the main attractions in Venice. The canal outside the hotel was by far the best thing about our stay. The location of the hotel is in a very quiet area with the most beautiful canal in the entire city in my opinion. And you have it almost completely to yourself. I would absolutely stay here again. It really is a hidden gem!!

My daughter and I had a wonderful time staying at the Casa Verardo hotel and we’d highly recommend it to other travellers. The hotel is conveniently situated only five minutes away from the San Marco square and the San Zaccaria vaporetto station. It was therefore easy for us to quickly reach the heart of city while also being able to enjoy the peace and quiet of the somewhat remote street, where the hotel is located. The whole place has a charming atmosphere and the interiors are beautiful. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was continental, with sufficient choice of sweet and savoury foods, including some gluten-free pastry as well. I especially have to commend the hotel staff who were all incredibly friendly and helped us with everything we needed, including allowing us to keep our luggage at the hotel for a few hours after checking out. We look forward to coming back at some point for sure!

Excellent location for some great restaurants and bars. Beautiful and quiet location but very central and 5 mins walk to Piazza San Marco and Grand Canal. Wonderfully helpful and polite staff and extremely clean, well presented rooms. Good facilities although a coffee machine would have been nice and only had a firm pillow. Would have liked a soft pillow too but in fairness, had I asked, I'm sure they'd have got me one. Hotel is beautifully presented old Venitian building with cutest little bar, stylish decor, courtyard and breakfast area. We didn't have breakfast included but I suspect the quality was in keeping with the rest of the hotel. Price to add it was €15 each so we went to local cafe's instead as many nearby that are very good. Free wifi worked sufficiently well and a short walk to San Zaccaria boat terminal on the Grand Canal (5 minutes) where you can take the Alilaguna ferry/taxi boat to Marco Polo airport for €15 per person and takes about 70 mins.

Not much to dislike about this hotel. Breakfast cost is a little high but food in Venice is not cheap in general

Great location and staff were so friendly and helpful with directions and recommendations. Room was clean and soft furnishings.

It was expensive due to the Venice film festival however we didn’t go for that or know it was happening. Limited amenities in the room, mixed shower and hair shampoo, no body lotion or extras available. No iron in the room as apparently not allowed in Venice.
