The breakfast was the best breakfast I've had in the UK in hotels of this standard. I can recommend ordering the porridge with honey and cream to start. The range of breakfasts cooked fresh to order was excellent, all the way from full Scottish and vegetarian to eggs benedict, royal or Florentine. I wasn't expecting such a high standard of food! Kudos to the chef. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially the wait staff during breakfast. The room was spacious, modern, spotlessly clean and comfortable, with a large well-heated bathroom and good shower. Large, comfortable bed. I don't usually write reviews, but had to write this one. I'd definitely stay again,

There were a few downsides. One was the lack of hotel parking. However, there was parking across the road behind the Co-op, and some on-street and free parking in the town centre. The second was our room above the pub entrance. There was a bit of noise coming from the pub door and street, especially at closing time. BUT I have stayed in Aberfeldy town centre in other hotels and it can be a noisy street on Friday and Saturday nights, anyway. Don't let either of these things put you off. The high standard of the room and the excellent breakfast made it more than worth it!

Check in was very easy. The room and bathroom were spacious and had the facilities I required; the shower being particularly powerful and generously proportioned. The breakfast was plentiful and cooked to order; coffee at breakfast was very smooth on the palate. Room refreshments were plentiful and varied. All staff I met were friendly and welcoming.

Room was a rather dark as it was in the eaves and had quite a small window. The entrance to the shower was a narrow squeeze for people of larger proportions which was odd as the shower was particularly spacious. Admittedly, that was more a personal fault!! The dressing table/desk was a bit small if you wished to do any work such as on a laptop. The size of the room could have easily accommodated a larger dressing table

Everything under one roof. Delicious food and drink served up by the best staff. Nothing is too much trouble. Then just upstairs to our room at the end of the day. We stayed in room 11 which was spotlessly clean and maintained to a high standard. We would definitely recommend to anyone looking for great food, service and a comfortable bed for the night.

We liked everything. Staff and accommodation were excellent as was the price. True value for money. We will return.

Great location. Lovely bathroom. Very clean. Food was superb. Really great staff.

Quality of the bed wasn’t what i’d expect. My daughter sat on the end of the bed & the mattress disappeared inside the divan. It’s missing slats at the end of the bed. Saying that, we slept well as less pressure at the bottom of the bed. Breakfast lovely although I waited almost 45 minutes for it & my daughter had finished her breakfast by then so we ate separately.

It’s in the perfect place for us to overnight on our way to the highlands. Always get a lovely welcome, the twin room is a good size. Great bathroom with shower & mini toiletries 👍. The only little thing for me is that I think the mattresses could do with replacing. It’s great that we can get evening meal & breakfast too. Great price good food. Staff are really nice & friendly ☺️ x

Not much to dislike other than mattress renewing but it wouldn’t stop me staying again.

The staff are 10/10. Everything is kept clean and the pub has a great atmosphere and good food. Great breakfast!

The shower was powerful and clean but not very hot, even when at highest temp. The staff member that was on shift for both of our breakfasts/check out was excellent. She was a bit run off of her feet but this is not a judgement on her but on whoever does the staffing. She was helpful and efficient and friendly.

The hotel is well located in the centre of Aberfeldy. Our room was clean and comfortable, located on the top floor accessed by stairs. Breakfast was served in the bar area with a choice of cereal, fruit and cooked items etc. All staff we encourntered were pleasant and helpful. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

There is no private parking but not a major problem as there is a free public car park a short walk from the hotel.

Very fresh, clean and comfortable spacious room. We were visiting as part of a cycling tour and the hotel was more than happy to lock our bikes in their cellar! The hotel rooms sit above a very popular and lively pub which might mean that some guests would be put off, but the food was really excellent and any noise didn’t seem to make it to the floors above.

This is hardly a complaint, but you need to be quite agile to get your bikes up the cellar steps! Not a problem for us and when a number of hotels won’t provide ANY where to safely store bikes overnight, this was very acceptable indeed. Thank you

Good choice at breakfast and prompt service. Spacious bathroom and quiet room. Had dinner twice during our stay and food was excellent. Aberfeldy had a varied choice of cafes and restaurants. There is also a cinema. The Scottish crannog at Kenmore and Cluny House gardens are both worth a visit.

Breakfast stopped at 9am another half hour would have been good.

Loved the friendly and helpful staff, the location and the room. Room was spacious and well-appointed. Bathroom was also very spacious and the bath is enormous- just the thing after climbing Schiehallion!

The only downside was the very old and broken down mattresses on the bed. They were very soft and uncomfortable. When the heavier person moved the entire bed wobbled which meant a bad night’s sleep. Time to replace those.
