A gem of a hotel in a leafy part of town. Wonderful large room and a peaceful place. The very best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had and breakfast staff were excellent.

We had to wait a good 10 minutes before anyone noticed we were trying to check in, but to be fair it was during bar service. We felt a bit ignored though. There was mould in the shower and the loo was dirty from not being cleaned properly. For the price I would have hoped for cleanliness going the extra mile, and these aren’t difficult things to sort I hope. The only real problem was a green emergency light in the bedroom - it meant the room was never fully dark and this kept me awake for most of the first night. Once I’d bought a sleep mask for the second night I slept like a baby.

Clean room, quiet, very comfortable bed, slept like a log, on site restaurant plenty of space, good food choice, decent value, especially with breakfast included

“Accessible “ room wasn’t accessible. Had a wet room but no grab holds/shower seat. Treacherous for me. Would have been completely impossible for someone slightly more disabled than me. No bath towel, only hand towel. When I was shown my room, I was not told about code for gate or the access through the side door so I had to phone reception from the driveway once to get out in the morning and had to call again to get inside to return my key (front doors not opened until 8am). No bedside light.

Our 3 nights at d'Parys over Christmas was fabulous. Easy free parking, central location to city centre and parklands and the overall comfort of the rooms was exceptional. All staff were professional and helpful. The food is excellent and we could not fault any aspect of our stay. The bar area is warm and cozy and the ambience delightful. I will definitely stay at d'Parys on my next visit from Australia. There is nowhere better in Bedford.

The staff were very friendly, the room was really good. Comfy bed, lovely roll top bath. Very quiet on a night, great night's sleep had. Breakfast was very good and all in with a great price.

The only problem we had was that the toilet seat was broken and very loose and the bottom of the toilet pan was very dirty. I reported this 15 minutes after check-in. I believe someone went to check it, but it wasn't fixed by the time we got back some 6 hours later.

The hotel was lovely the staff were friendly and helpful and the room was cozy and comfortable.

We stayed in room 5, Our room was situated above the kitchen so unfortunately we heard all the noise from there, loud music, crashing and banging of equipment etc! This wasnt so bad in the evening altogether still distracting, but at 7am when the chef started work we got woken up by the persistent opening and closing of the fridge which we wasn't very happy about because of course you don't expect to be woken up so early on a night away from the kids! We also wasn't very impressed with the frosted glass toilet either, not very romantic or much privacy if you need a number two!

Good location Nice pub Very friendly and helpful staff . Rooms were lovely Beds were so comfortable. Great breakfast .

2nd room was outside accommodation on the ground floor and people upstairs we dragging furniture around for most of the night and it was niosey aparently, you could hear everything. This is no fault of the management. Sausages were cooked but a little to pale for my friends. This didn't spoil our breakfast, it was still lovely and we enjoyed our stay 😊 THANK YOU ... !!! 👍🏾👌🏾😉

Beautiful building in a very good road. Large spotlessly clean room. Comfy bed. Ecxellent friendly staff - took my case up when they found out I had a problem with my leg, and offered a complimentary drink because of problems with the radiator in my room. very good breakfast - lots of choices.

Not enough power sockets in room, no chair, had to sit on bed, nowhere to put down a drink. Tv far too high on wall, could only watch lying on bed. Although the door locked, it didn’t close flush so I felt a bit apprehensive.

This hotel is in a close location to the city centre, all in walking distance. The room was comfortable. The reception staff was pleasant. The food in the restaurant was lovely. There is car parking available on site. A pleasant stay overall. I would certainly return if staying in Bedford again.

My room was at the back of the building and was slightly disturbed by the noise from the people sitting/drinking/eating in the outdoor seated area. I was not a fan of the bath being in the room, with no privacy. Good job I was staying by myself. The service at breakfast is very very slow and the choice is limited to one single selction from the breakfast menu. No cereal, fruit, breakfast snacks at all. However, the food is tasty, when it finally arrives. The key to the room is very chunky and heavy.

A really lovely and relaxing atmosphere, and the downstairs bar and restaurant are fabulous. Super bonus points for the head chef taking the time to talk to me personally about my allergies off his own back.

VERY loud. I know all the information states that this is a working bar and restaurant so to expect noise, but wow. Our room was the first up the staircase which led off the bar, and was also located next to the toilets, so we could hear everyone walking up and down the wooden stairs and using the hand dryers. Wish we had bought ear plugs! I would also say the bedroom was quite tired, with some broken bits- a big split in the wooden toilet seat which had clearly been there a while, and the toilet door didn't shut. We were also woken at 6:50am to what sounded like they were opening the pub for breakfast

The staff were extremely welcoming upon our arrival. Despite being fairly late they made sure we managed to eat and had everything we needed. The room was quirky as was the entire building which we found charming. The night porter was really helpful and chatty in the mornings as we left very early for our planned days. Location was great as took only 10 mins to walk into town in the evening, even managed a movie and its been years since I had time to get to a cinema!
