Lovely stay, would definitely book this hotel again. Only stayed 1 night but the hotel ticked all boxes. Loved the little surprise prepared by the staff and wish more hotels would take their time to add a personal touch.

Would give a 10/10 but upon returning home I received an email about being signed up to their membership program. At no point was I asked or told about this during the stay (I wouldn't count fine print on the reg card as such).

Spacious shower, excellent desk with desk light, quiet and dark room, good breakfast, good beds. Frequent busses into town, bus stop nearby - but the centre of town and New Street and Moor Street train stations are only about a 15/20 minute walk away. Close to universities and the Conservatoire. The members of staff we met at the hotel were helpful and well informed about the town and how to navigate it.

The road works in Birmingham. They seem to have them everywhere !

I always stay at Aloft in Birmingham as they're so comfortable and convenient but my last experience has prompted me to finally leave a review. I realised i left my sentimental and favourite perfume behind after checking out of Aloft and returning home to London. I called Aloft who asked me to send an email with details. Within a few hours Aloft messaged me back to say they had found the item and even offered to arrange postage back to me as a gesture of free will covering all the costs. They have gone above and beyond and I honestly can't thank them enough.

2nd time staying at the Aloft hotel, was a pleasure to stay at again. Room was spotless upon arrival and we had everything we needed for the whole stay. We also arrived earlier than expected after a awful time travelling and were allowed an early check-in which was a god send. Outside of that, everything was clean, beds were comfy, we had no disturbances and everything was well stocked. I can't comment on the breakfast as we did not have it.

All my previous complaints were not an issue this time around, so I have to give the staff props for that. Only complaint I could put out there was the shower door in our room was a bit awkward, either it wouldn't close and bounce open into you, or you could move it outside and it would somewhat close but water would get all over the floor but this was a minor inconvenience.

The main drawbacks of this hotel are that the windows cannot be opened, making it impossible to get fresh air into the room. Additionally, there was an unpleasant odor in the bathroom that detracted from the overall experience. Another downside is the location, which is quite far from the city center, making it less convenient for those who want easy access to main attractions and activities.

I stayed over as I’d arranged my birthday party at the nearby Eagle and Ball. Several friends stayed at the hotel too. The hotel surprised me with an upgrade to a suite, happy birthday messages in the room and chocolates. The suite was amazing! Breakfast at £10 was good value and able to order poached eggs. Fantastic stay. Only negative was the parking ticket I received collecting my presents from the hotel. I was literally less than 5 minutes outside and he wouldn’t be reasoned with writing me a ticket. Not the hotels fault, but just a caution to other guests.

It was a diamond of a stay at the hotel everyone was friendly and really helpful full of joy at all hours and the room was good nice big tv not like other hotels where the tvs are small n basic and the shower was big n spacious and the shower products smelled lovely n there was even a flannel too which you don’t find with other hotels which was good and just overall the whole hotel was amazing 10/10 stay on everything, me n my wife was really happy to of stayed there 🫶🏻 See you lot next time Many Thanks Mrs&Mr.Durant

Great location not too far to walk to the shops. Hotel is really clean and beds and pillows were comfy. Ice cold water in the fridge was very refreshing. Breakfast had a great selection of food and drinks. We had a personal message on the bedroom mirror and happy birthday in chocolate on the side which was a lovely touch. Gentleman in the lounge bar was super nice, polite and overall a pleasure to be served by.

It was quite warm in our room at night and I couldn't figure out the Aircon. We only had 2 mugs in our room when the booking was for 4 people. Very minor negative points as the rest of the stay was great.

The hotel looks cool, funky and fresh Reception were smiling and very professional. It was our anniversary so they went that extra length to write happy anniversary on the mirror when we entered the room and did us a nicely decorated plate of chocolates and strawberries...nice touch. Good selection at breakfast and breakfast staff very pleasant and helpful. Location to city centre you can walk.but uber is about £5 so nothing. I would stay here again. Thx to all.the staff and management for making our stay a great experience.

Nothing not to like.

I found the hotel to be comfortable with friendly and helpful staff to greet and assist us during the length of our stay. I cannot fault the hotel for the reasons stated above.

Both my colleague and I were woken up ion the early hours by the TV switching itself on and showing the welcome screen which wasn't great. I also found the that the food options only providing Halal prepared meat was not good at all. I don't think that it should be the only form of meat that is served. As I saw a very diverse range of ethnicity during my stay I would request that the hotel re think their polices on the choices of meat preparation.
