The hotel is great located everything is near by (restaurants, food shops, clothings chops, Birmingham shopping center, etc…). The staff are very helpful and nice. The room is nice, specious and very clean at least mine was. The bedding was an amazing (it’s was the first time that I sleep so well in a hotel bedding). I had a lovely stay at the Clayton hotel and would recommend to anyone.

There weren’t any scale to weight my bags which really sucks 😭 and the channels on the TV are very updated (but let’s said that you are only going to sleep on the hotel this remark aren’t going to be a problem). The hotel was a little bit expensive but it’s was worth it.

Wonderful aesthetic of the whole place. The room had every amenity, the shower worked perfectly, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Great night's sleep, and a smiling face at both check-in and check-out made all the difference. A bonus that it was so close to the heart of the city, so a short walk to both work and social events.

The wifi was slightly unreliable for the video call I had (via phone WhatsApp) but worked fine for browsing and streaming music. Also some of the buttons around the room were not intuitive (what I assume were buttons for the housekeeping and Do Not Disturb were not explained).

The first room we had was nice room but very cold in there this was on 7th floor which we had requested We then went to reception explaining the coldness at no point did they say there were heating issues.We were then offered another room on different floor this was still cold so a electric heater was given to us which helped the warm up.It was a shame as the bar and restaurant ares had portable heaters too.Overall we did have a nice stay but it needed to be much warmer in the hotel.Good idea would have been to let guests who booked the heating issues.

Good that it was self service. Kefir with the yoghourt choice would be good. Plum tomatoes would be nice. Sad to see you use an energy wasting toasting machine -please do your bit for the enviro' and replace. Sad to see you have the bar lights etc on during the day, energy waste that costs, plse rectify and be more energy conscious.

The bathroom sink design places the overflow hole directly into your sight when you get washed. Abs no fault of the cleaning staff ( who made a very good job of the room) but there was black mould and dirt in it and doubtfull if the staff have the means to clean inside there. Please give the cleaners the means to put this right - and plse reward them for the quality of their work. PRICING: I didn't ask to be widowed at an early age, but it would be good if you could structure the room price more for an individual when widowed rather than just for the room. ONE FOR THE PRICE OF TWO HURTS!!

The staff are amazing and can't do enough for you; somewhere close by was having a rave and in our room it was very loud, however the staff sorted us a new (quieter) room and we finally got to sleep. We used the bar and pool area and had no issues there either - my husband/son thought it was really good set up with the hot tubs etc. Vast choice for breakfast too, really good if you have a fussy child and everything was delicious. We went for Comic con and it was only a 5 minute walk to the NEC entrance so a very handy hotel that we will definitely visiting again.

A very limited room service menu so you have to use the bar restaurant; the food is average for the price but that's not why we picked that hotel so we sucked it up. Also some of the lifts off the reception area were very loud, clunky and bounced at each floor stop......saw some poor woman bail on floor 3 as it was freaking her out.

This was my second time staying at this hotel. Staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. My room was decorated to a high standard, immaculate and clean. The hotel is decorated to a high, modern standard throughout. Breakfast was lovely with a variety of options. My son wanted porridge which was not on the buffet option however, this was made for him and brought to our table which he was very pleased with. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. I have made a short video and uploaded it to my small YouTube channel. I hope to return to this hotel for my birthday next month. Thank you Clayton Hotel

The only thing I did not like was that I couldn’t afford to stay longer

I have stayed at this hotel several times and submitted several reviews. There isn't much more I can say really. Location of hotel - easy to find, 6-7 minutes walk from main railway station and only 5 minutes from the Bull ring centre. Reception area very good, staff are all excellent, rooms are bright with all the usual facilities you'd expect. Bathrooms are a nice size with very nice walk in power shower. Breakfast wise everything is catered for, and if like me who always wants something not readily available (porridge) they you only have to ask and it is made for you. I will be staying here again next year

If you really want me to be picky then the only thing that was an issue this time was that one of the self service coffee machines in the restaurant was broken so getting my morning coffee fix took a little longer to get, and I'm sure that by the time I'm typing this it has probably already been fixed or replaced.

Friendly staff, nice shower, comfy bed.

Got about 7000 emails from the hotel and booking.com almost hounding me to get additions to my room. Very annoying and felt like all they care about is money. Sometimes got the same email from booking.com and then the hotel themselves. Also there’s a million road works outside but they failed to tell me that information in one of their thousand emails so we had to walk all the way around which only added 10 minutes onto our walk but still annoying.

Property was great, great location really close to the bullring and train station.

Messaged the property on Booking.com about our stay asking could we check in early as our flight was due to land at 7am. They said that if the room was ready we could have it at no additional cost. However they tried to charge us 10 pounds per hour when we arrived. After showing them the message I received from them, they refused to give a room saying that there are no rooms available however when we agreed to pay they had a room ready straight away. Got no apology for the miss communication just smart answer back and refusing to give a room.

Room was well appointed, comfortable better furnished than many city centre hotels. Good location for rail travellers. 10 minutes walk from New Street station and 5 minutes walk from Moor Street. Very good breakfast with a wide variety of foods to suit all tastes. All the staff I met were very helpful and welcoming.

The hotel seems to attract the partying crowd.- even on a Sunday evening. There was a lot of noise in the corridor and from adjacent rooms.
