It is what it is, cheap and cheerful, room was cleaned Daily with coffee/sugar packs replenished, had problem with key card but was sorted quickly, super nice breakfast for the price (make sure you order the Night before) I was worried after reading the reviews but they turned out unfounded in my experience, a bit daunting if you wanted to wander out at night but felt perfectly safe and welcome inside, the rooms are a little tired and dated but your not paying 5* prices, done exactly what it says on the tin 👌
Location a little run down but that’s a local authority problem not a venue one

This was a room above a family pub. On a main bus route into the town centre. Staff were friendly and helped with any problems. Although no food was included within the price, for a reasonable extra they did a full English Breakfast with the usual eggs bacon etc with tea or coffee and toast and marmalade. Very enjoyable. As I have already said although no food was included being on a main bus route you could catch the 97 bus into the city centre to explore the night life including food and drink. Overall an enjoyable stay and would recommend a stay
Although at times the room key was a bit problematic the staff were soon on hand to get the problem sorted for me

I stayed overnight for a A level exams in the area and it was perfect for a one night stop over! Very cosy room, the desk was very spacious for studying. Check in was easy, there was a lift for accessibility which was very much appreciated as i stayed 2 seperate nights in one week with my disabled mother and disabled grandfather. Tea, coffee, kettle, being provided in the rooms was a nice touch, locked safe parking from 11pm-6pm made our stay worry free and all of that for this price was very good, will def be travelling back here in the future!
Being a plus size gal it was a tight squeeze in the curved corner shower, but that is no fault of the hotels and maybe a main light over the bed rather than only reading lights would have been nice, everything else was perfect though!

We had a family room, it was very spacious and accomodated all of us with great privacy too, as it was split into two rooms in one which was perfect for us. The staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome and looked after. The hotel is in a great location - 8 mins from bullring, 5 mins from O2 institute and 5 mins from Aston University.
Although it had been cleaned the carpet had stains and made us not want to walk barefoot, also the toilet was clean but the shower was not nice and the rooms could do with more lighting.

Only stayed 1 night, and all was perfectly pleasant. I wasn't able to check in early but staff were very helpful and offered to mind my bag. Room was nice, even had a little desk. Only takes about 10 minutes to get into the city centre on the bus, and the stop is literally right outside the hotel. I was going to a concert in the city and got back to the hotel around midnight. Neighbourhood felt perfectly safe and there was very little noise during the night.
When I returned back that night, my key card didn't work for the main door or for my room. Apparently this was because I had the key card stored in my phone case. Definitely something worth mentioning to people at check in because I've never encountered that before!

It was a convenient taxi ride to the venue we wanted to go to. The breakfast room is a little gem and the friendly bar has an open fire. It’s a tad shabby but this is more than made up for by the staff and the cleanliness. The breakfast was lovely and excellent value. The parking is very secure, but the entrance to it is very low so I’m glad I took my car and not the van.
I should have asked where the stairs were - lazy me took the lift every time I went to or from my room.

We traveled up from cornwall for a gig. Pretty close to town The Royal George is a short taxi ride in or out. Great value basic pub/hotel, you get what you pay for and this is cheap? no, Bargain! Pub is proper spit n sawdust local, no carpet with a fire burning, duke box and old game machine or two. The staff are the best, so welcoming and will do anything to help, genuine good folk! Everything was clean in the room, good rain shower. Really nicely cooked breakfast at a bargain price. Will definatley book again.
Not the best bed in the world, but hey, we slept ok. Watch out for match days, it is right next to the football ground and is probably mega busy whan there is a game on.

Staff were great. Jerry and the 2 ladies on the bar looked after us. One lady in particular got us booked in as a priority, which we appreciated and tried like crazy to get us a taxi to our gig. Their hospitality boosted the stay. I would like the staff to be recognised for enhancing our overnight experience. Thank you.
The location was good for where we needed to be. From the outside, the premises looked unappealing. We gave it the benefit of the doubt. The staff were friendly as were the guests. The room was large but very basic and tired. However, it was clean and suited our needs for our 1 night stay. The bar was friendly and drinks inexpensive. If passing, I would definitely have no hesitation going in for a drink. Likewise, if I needed basic and an inexpensive place to stay for the night, I would definitely consider. Only real gripe was someone opened the car park shutter a little after 6am and the clanking noise woke us.

It was a friend Services, responsible prices for drinks and to stay the night, understanding and helpful staff, would recommend and stay again on a visit to Birmingham.
There wasn't much we didn't like only thing I would say is the building could do with some tlc to the paint work but it was alright as we a safe place to go back to after our event so how the building looked didn't matter as I would stay again regardless to what the paint work looks like.

The service was genuinely amazing, such kind people, and i actually felt very safe. Although there was no air conditioning, we were fine since the window cracks open and it’s cold outside. Clean room and bathroom, nice towel warmer etc
Less professional than other hotels due to the bar entrance and the lack of standard amenities. However it does just fine
