Huge room. We had a double and bought our own cot for our 1 year old and also had a dog and there was plenty of room for all. It was a bonus the dog could stay and was allowed in the bar. The food in the bar was great, it stopped serving at 8.30 we were lucky to just make it but others were later and missed it. It's cheaper to buy breakfast when booking, glad we did as i wouldn't have paid £18 but £10 was okay. There was a good selection but the cooked breakfast tastesd like it'd been out a while as the sausages/bacon was a bit hard but otherwise it was great. The use of the pool and spa makes it very good value for money. Overall for the price I'd recommend.

There was no aircon so it was hot everywhere in the hotel. The walls were also quite thin so could hear the people next door unfortunately. I rung the hotel chain beforehand to check if the price included a dog and they said it did but when I checked in I had to pay £15 extra, this could be clearer when booking.

Customer service was exceptional. The nicest receptionist from Portugal, and a special mention for Irene, who was so lovely making sure I knew where and when food was available, plug sockets for my laptop and plentiful tea and biscuits when I had to get some work done after checkout. Room was huge with sofa and very comfy bed. Bath and powerful shower - not the most modern bathroom but well equipped and absolutely spotless. Breakfast was brilliant. Plenty of room around the hotel, lovely setting. I didn’t use the pool / sauna etc so can’t comment on this. I would definitely recommend.

Evening meal was quite expensive for portion size.

I can’t compliment the staff enough, they were all genuinely helpful and very pleasant, this is rarely experienced in my experience. Breakfast was excellent and there were many options available, an absolute must! The hotel is well placed for shopping and getting around. The room I had was slightly dated but the price I paid was reflective of this, and it was cleaned daily! There were tea and coffee mailing facilities and an iron and board in the room. Allinall an excellent experience with special thanks to Bruna on reception, Shelley and Johnny in the kitchen and Keeley for tidying up after me.

Ideal 1 night breakaway stay for me and my 13 yr old autistic daughter. Booked it due to the pool, which was brilliant for us both. Stayed 30th April for the night, had food, the bar staff lady (sorry didn’t catch her name) was absolutely amazing with my daughter and myself. nothing was to much trouble, even bringing things to my room along with a bottle opener to open her bottled drink. Thank you for your lovely welcoming service an absolute credit to the team. The guy sorting food was great also, thank you. would highly recommend a stay here.

overall the facilities were excellent with the bar open until 2am and room service available until 9.30pm the swimming pool and gym were really good decent size room and an absolutely MASSIVE bed which was super comfy staff were friendly and helpful

everywhere the hotel was very tired and let's say a bit worn around the edges, it felt old and in need of renovation/modernisation only negative were the staff sometimes a bit slow and not proactive as such

Lovely hotel in a good location. Easily accessible.

Disappointed with our room. We were unable to upgrade as only double rooms are available to upgrade. Our room was very small and spotlessly clean but in need of a little TLC. The shower wasn't brilliant. We had no extras while others in our party had a wonderful large room with all the extras, at exactly the same price we paid. A little bit upsetting to feel so inferior. The staff were lovely, not their fault. It feels that if you ask for twin beds you're penalised and not as important.

Value for money was good, however the decor is now looking "tired". The hotel staff were exceptional, very helpful and welcoming. Good car parking and easy access from the M61 motorway. Very sizable double bed and firm pillows. Shower OK but only warm, still acceptable. Would use again.

Needs some re-decoration, double glazing sealed units misted and shower disapointing.

The service was superb. The staff brilliant and the location is so accessible for the area. The breakfast was good, as was the bar snacks. The facilities in the room ideal as my wife is in a weelchair so being on the ground floor with a bathroom with walk in shower tailored for disabled.

Sadly, the decor looks tired. The main reception area was, as always, welcoming and looks good, but I felt the room was in need of an update.

The hotel was absolutely fantastic! We arranged a family celebration which had to be close to Rivington Pike and the staff were brilliant in providing us a buffet selection and looked after us throughout our whole stay. The rooms were great and the breakfast was also very good. Some members of our family used the swimming pool which they said was excellent, especially for the younger ones. I would thoroughly recommend it!

Loved being able to use the pool, jacuzzi & steam room. Rooms were quite spacious & beds very comfy. Great buffet breakfast with plenty to choose from. Staff were friendly & helpful in every area of the hotel. Great location for us. Only a 15 minute drive from where we live but could've been miles away as it has a great views of the local countryside. There are some great local pubs/restaurants only a short drove away.

Rooms were in need of some TLC as the carpet & towels were stained. Shower in one room was a trickle & the toilet didn't flush properly. It was reported as we left & to be fair they were most apologetic and said they would get it sorted.
