For the price, The Brocket was well worth it. Going downstairs to the restaurant and paying approx £46 for four meals with drinks was a big plus. Checking in/out was easy. Rooms were clean. Lots of refreshments e.g. tea/coffee/bottled water/biscuits. Nothing to complain about... except the mattresses.... not the most comfy but ok. Staff were all friendly and polite.
The mattresses need upgrading... that's all! Oh, and the view... our room overlooked the massive extractor fans which were a little noisy til switched off probs around midnight but we were only there one night so not such a problem. I would have asked to be moved if we were there for a few nights.

This is the third time I have stayed here recently and it is really good value. The staff are helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the showers are excellent (really powerful!) You get a nice supply of beverages and biscuits in the room and a good hairdryer, iron and ironing board. it’s nice to be able to open windows as in modern hotels you are very often stuck with being too warm. Above a pub it’s surprisingly quiet. it’s a nice Wetherspoons so it’s easy to get a decent meal in good surroundings really conveniently. TV has all your free view and the wifi is pretty reliable.
There’s no lift so you do have to get upstairs with your luggage. The sockets in rooms aren’t always in the most convenient spot (e.g. sometimes there isn’t one next to the bed for phone charging or next to the iron for hair drying for example) but there are enough sockets and you can get by OK.

The staff were really welcoming and made sure from the outset that I knew how to ask for help if there was any problem with my stay. They needn’t have worried as I found everything to be fine. The room was clean and comfortable with a good bathroom. a lovely big bath, a good shower, and nice shower and hand gel supplied. it was an unexpected bonus to have biscuits, hot chocolate and a generous supply of tea, coffee and milk. It’s a nice Wetherspoons downstairs and I had a pleasant and inexpensive evening meal there
The room felt a little small and dark but it was absolutely fine for an overnighter.

- Reading light is available in bed - Good amenities, they even provided free bottled water and hot chocolate drink in room - Newly decorated Bathroom - Free parking - Very good price great value for money
As we only paid £59 it was really good price so I honestly don't think I have anything to complain about but if I have to name a couple that would be: - Sound proof was not very good - Not a very user friendly shower it took us 15mins to figure how to turn it on - There was some maintenance work started early morning

The twin room had everything we wanted - good shower, big towels, and tea/coffee making. There wasn't any noise from other rooms/corridor which helped us sleep, and the feather pillow helped my snoring... This was my first time in a Wetherspoons Hotel, and I was impressed. The staff were all friendly, chatting away to us as we walked to/from our room. Particularly good was the fact we could walk downstairs and have their breakfast and unlimited tea/coffee. We didn't eat in their restaurant, but it would be your standard Wetherspoons restaurant.

Great hotel friendly service and excellent food staff where very professional only thing was having to use stairs as there was no lift I asked why and they said because its a listed building they can't put a lift in but I would look into putting a stair lift in as that would not alter the building we will be staying there in the future as we had no complaints about the service and quality of the hotel

Room was well equipped and exceptionally clean. Bed was so so comfy! Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. The bar downstairs serves breakfast 7am-12pm and its great value for money and the drinks and food are great. Location is great, short walk to a lovely park and the town centre is close too.
Nothing!

Everything clean and tidy, staff were all very friendly and helpful. Food was excellent and drinks very cheap. Good location for Wigan centre.
When I booked this property through Booking.com the price as I thought was £266 put when I got there the price had gone up too £296, the receptionist told me that was Booking. Com price and they could do nothing about it, why was I charged this?

Really welcoming atmosphere throughout my stay. The room fully met expectations - as it is a 'spoons hotel, you do not expect the facilities of a 5* but it was just as good experience and facilities you would find in a Travelodge or Premier Inn. Breakfast was excellent with refillable drinks and a nice selection of full English Breakfasts that catered for traditionalists, vegetarian and vegan diners. The staff were unobtrusive and allowed guests to take their time and relax - would I recommend or stay again - one word "absolutely"
The check-in process was a bit fraught, the signage to reception on the outside of the building was a bit confusing which entrance to use and no signs inside the bar pointing those that have come in a wrong door meant I had to ask at the bar where reception was. Bar staff looked like they were covering for hotel reception staff in afternoons as well as serving - the bar staff member was full of apology for the delay in me checking in but after I got the key card to my room, the experience was wonderful. There was a receptionist on hand in the morning for check-out
