Our stay at the Groes Inn was the perfect little cosy adventure away. The Inn itself is a very cosy warm atmosphere, with beautiful mountain views in the distance. We got a signature room with mountain view and it was well worth the money, the room was cosy and had everything needed to facilitate a perfect weekend away. The Inn is placed near the town of Conwy and not too far of a drive away to Snowdon and the surrounding mountains, we thoroughly enjoyed getting to explore. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was amazing, it is clear that they prioritize the guests at the inn. The restaurant attached to the inn was cosy, comfortable with top-quality customer service. My partner particular enjoyed the fire heaters they had which created the perfect atmosphere. The food was very delicious at a really reasonable price, no more expensive really then what you would spend at a Harvester.

We were given a good size bedroom on the ground floor with a large bathroom with a wet room style shower (think it was a room for the disabled). Bed was huge and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with a good cold and cooked selection. The restaurant was ok, not the best but not the worst. Service was slow but only one member of waiting staff on for the whole service so you can't blame her (she did a stirling job). Found plastic in my desert and they were very apologetic and didn't charge me for my desert.
The room wasn't as clean as I would have expected. Cobwebs on the walls and dirty floor under the bed. Also a large gap under the door to the outside meant we had to lay a bag across it at night. We were also unable to leave the windows open at night as they were an old type window with no means to secure them when open. This meant the nights were airless and stuffy. The whole place felt in need of a refresh, it felt very tired. I know it's an old, historical building so they may be restricted as to what they can do but it has so much potential to be great. A little love and greater attention to detail would elevate the Groes Inn to a great place to stay.

The property was easy accessible for our needs to remain independant from additional help. We could park easily with no overcrowding and everything was on the same level. The parking was directly opposite the B road. Not a problem even for us. Our room was fabulous, better than the photos. We had a bed each. Bath and shower, even better than home and all on the ground but we felt so secure and had a very private patio too facing the mountains. I had a long drive from the far SE corner of England going to and from the NW corners of Eire. I needed to have a decent place to stay specially as I am an unpaid full time Carer for family member. This place was just perfect for my needs and the staff and food all wonderful. I had been let down in past places with no bed albeit this was apparently Booking. Com’s fault of not u dating me other Hotels changes and I was so worried that I even phoned Groes Inn to check they had my booking correct. Very professional people. We will use them again.
Nothing really that couldn’t be sorted due to spare chairs being available because the bench for breakfast was far too high for us to sit on and eat at table. Not a problem for those taller and not needing to use a table to eat.

Staff were great, the bar manager was excellent and all staff were friendly, polite and very professional. The view of the mountain from the room was great, we arrived in the dark and I didn't expect to be looking over fields to the mountains. Oh, the food was excellent. We had dinner and breakfast, both were lovely. Eggs benedict was delicious and the buffet was well stocked.
The room (number 3) was a tad noisy, it was loud when people headed to their rooms and oddly the plumbing was really quite loud at times. This is being picky though, it was a great night and we slept well. EV chargers weren't working, Wales in general, or at least mid and north wales have very little available! Long range tesla and it was still a worry going from newport to conwy with a few days in snowdonia. Tip: some super fast chargers nearby in Conwy, then telsa super charger in flint mountain (this is further away)

Room was lovely with a great mountain view. All staff were friendly and helpful. Room was spotlessly clean and the refreshments in the room were lovely, plenty of tea, coffee and water. Bathroom was a great size and shower was great too. Room was very quiet, no traffic noise despite being on a road.
The room was really warm even though I turned the heating completely off when we arrived. The bed was huge but the pillows weren’t hugely comfortable. I would have felt safer if the external door leading to the car park had a lock as it was just open and it would be possible for anyone passing to come in to the accommodation area.

We booked a superior room, which had a twin bedroom, bathroom and very comfortable, separate sitting area. The food was of a high standard , with a good selection on the menu, and the staff were very pleasant. There is ample parking and the hotel is a good centre for visiting a number of local attractions. We would certainly stay there again.
The first night service in the restaurant was a little slow, although we were in no hurry but, on the second night, it was excellent.

The staff was so kind and full of care, even until deep in the night, when a friend slipped in his bath and broke his arm. ( As expected, NHS was a nightmare... Don't get hurt or ill in the UK !! ) The old building was full of charm. The restaurant was very good, as well as breakfast. Enough parking.
As the weather was fine, we wanted to enjoy the outside quiet rear terrace but it was totally strictly closed for repairs. Only a few tables in front of the hotel, along the noisy highway were available...

Particularly liked: breakfast (good food and choice),; view (across fields to mountains) and staff (all of them were efficient, friendly and helpful). Room was well decorated and clean with comfortable bed. Room 7 bathroom was great size, modern and well-equipped.
Minor things: Room 7 was generally laid-back coffee colours and the queen-sized bed was all white, there were several pictures, but none of them added a splash of colour, which the room needed. Furniture was dark wood – we would have swapped the wardrobe and coffee/dressing table, to give a more open, welcoming introduction to the room. As with all Inns and B&Bs – find a way of getting rid of UHT and deliver toast after the main breakfast plate.

Communication before arrival re our special request was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful, service was excellent. The room was very comfortable with massive bed and plenty of space. Bathroom was spacious and warm and bedroom was cooler, the way we like it. Good choice of items with the tea and coffee making facilities, including fresh coffee and cafetière. Evening meal was excellent and the breakfast was good.
