The property was easy accessible for our needs to remain independant from additional help. We could park easily with no overcrowding and everything was on the same level. The parking was directly opposite the B road. Not a problem even for us. Our room was fabulous, better than the photos. We had a bed each. Bath and shower, even better than home and all on the ground but we felt so secure and had a very private patio too facing the mountains. I had a long drive from the far SE corner of England going to and from the NW corners of Eire. I needed to have a decent place to stay specially as I am an unpaid full time Carer for family member. This place was just perfect for my needs and the staff and food all wonderful. I had been let down in past places with no bed albeit this was apparently Booking. Com’s fault of not u dating me other Hotels changes and I was so worried that I even phoned Groes Inn to check they had my booking correct. Very professional people. We will use them again.
Nothing really that couldn’t be sorted due to spare chairs being available because the bench for breakfast was far too high for us to sit on and eat at table. Not a problem for those taller and not needing to use a table to eat.

Particularly liked: breakfast (good food and choice),; view (across fields to mountains) and staff (all of them were efficient, friendly and helpful). Room was well decorated and clean with comfortable bed. Room 7 bathroom was great size, modern and well-equipped.
Minor things: Room 7 was generally laid-back coffee colours and the queen-sized bed was all white, there were several pictures, but none of them added a splash of colour, which the room needed. Furniture was dark wood – we would have swapped the wardrobe and coffee/dressing table, to give a more open, welcoming introduction to the room. As with all Inns and B&Bs – find a way of getting rid of UHT and deliver toast after the main breakfast plate.

Location was ideal. Car parking adequate. Staff welcoming and friendly- nothing too much trouble. Food was excellent. Rooms were lovely with a huge bed with clean, crisp white bedding. The bathroom facilities good - walk in shower, clean fluffy towels and hot water at all times. Tea, coffee and biscuits replenished daily.
If I was being picky - would have liked a few more comfortable chairs to relax in during the evening but appreciate this is an Inn providing restaurant facilities for residents and visitors. Most seating was tables and chairs for dining and not lounging after a day exploring and walking.

The Hotel is in a great location. We were travelling in a group of 4 cars heading to Ireland for a driving holiday from the North East of the UK, and wanted a stop over before catching the Ferry from Anglesea the next morning. The rooms we good and the food served in the bar was first class. Alin, the manager deserves a special mention, he can't do enough to make your stay enjoyable
The only gripe that we had as a group was the parking, some of the group had to park across the road in an overflow car park as a group of German Bikers had taken most of the Hotels parking spaces. Other than that absolutely no complaints.

Breakfast choice was superb. In addition I require gluten free meals and the staff went above and beyond to make sure I had a gluten free breakfast every day. All the staff were so friendly and helpful and room was cleaned every day including fresh towels after two nights. Room was spacious with a very large comfortable bed and excellent shower over bath. Complimentary coffee, tea biscuits and bottled water replenished every day.
I couldn't fault anything for the price it was a very good choice of hotel. Staff went above and beyond when providing a gluten free breakfast.

Staff were friendly, helpful and approachable. The Inn was situated in the countryside and had good views all round. An outside warm, sunny bar area was complemented by a traditional inn-style interior bar and restaurant and in comparison to most alternatives in the area, represented great value. The quality of the food was outstanding for breakfast and evening dinner on both occasions we dined.
There was a small amount of road noise as we slept with windows open in summer, but nothing more than you'd expect on a country road in North Wales.

Rural location within 5 minute drive of Conwy with a number of walks on the doorstep and a great base for exploring surrounding area. Room well furnished with large comfortable bed. Complimentary water and good choice of hot drinks in room. Excellent breakfast and dinner. All staff amazing and made us feel very welcome. Would definitely stay here again as offers excellent value for money with wonderful views.

Our room was lovely, clean and comfortable. The cleaning lady team even placed a Anniversary card and fresh flowers in our room. Very much appreciated, thankyou x Clean towels every day, toiletries and a gigantic bed, it was brilliant! We ate in the bar for our three nights here, the food is lovely, varied and tasty. The breakfast is great too. All the staff were really friendly and welcoming. We would definitely stay here again. It's a great central location to go travelling either way. Thankyou!

Lovely large room with fantastic views of the mountains. It had it's own outside seating area. We had a couch to sit on and plenty of storage space for clothes and toiletries. Small TV which was OK as we didn't spend a lot of time watching it. The bed was enormous. Breakfast was lovely and included in the price we paid. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was great. All the staff were friendly and helpful.
Unfortunately, as it is an old building, there were signs that some maintenance was needed. This didn't affect our stay, however. The shower over the bath is very low but, again, this is because of the fact that the ceilings are low.

Charming and very old inn, with extremely helpful and friendly staff. Room was acceptable, bed comfy and facilities generally good. Breakfast was hearty and plenty of choices. Above all though, the team there were ever so friendly, hard working and helpful. Lots of parking, so no worries there.
Appreciate it's difficult to keep on top of an old property like this, but some of the communal areas could have been cleaner and there was obviously a problem with condensation in the bathroom. This is why we scored it lower for value for money. Needs a bit of investment.
