Food amazing... rooms amazing , service amazing, beautiful scenery and spa is lovely .. had a fabulous couples massage girls are so lovely

We didn't like how they have changed the rules for the pool... you could used to swim anytime of the day.. they have changed it now that you can only use the spa area pool etc up to 9am in the morning and after 5pm ... if you wish to use it in-between these times its 25 pounds each.. how ridiculous. Won't be staying again unless this changes. Such a shame

Great staff and service. Food was great for all meals.

We know it was the storm but the pool out of order our whole stay put a downer on it slightly. Maybe having a back up....of course this may not be possible.

Not enough pool time for children! Not enough pool and sauna time for adults! Guest's shouldn't need to pay extra to use pool and sauna it should be inclusive in the booking! Especially when you're paying in excess of £500 for 2 nights.

We have been coming to the Quay for at least 7 years. We got engaged in the castle whilst staying here 3 years ago and we come at least once or twice a year. It's always been lovely, but this year, it's even better. The standard of service is first class. The spa renovation is really good !! We dined at the restaurant both nights and the food was exemplary but the service team even more so. So personable and professional. We had our dog with us and the team where so good with him and gave us the perfect most convenient room.

Nothing really. The only thing would be a better hairdryer in the rooms but not a big deal.

Hotel is beautiful and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. We stayed in one of the suites, which was very cold when we arrived but warmed up once we turned the heating on. Very comfortable bed, nice to have a coffee machine as well as a kettle. They went to the trouble of leaving a birthday card for my partner's birthday, which was lovely. Spa facilities are lovely but quite small. Food and service in the bar and restaurant were great

The suite was lovely but just needed some warm touches like cushions on the sofas. Our bathroom didn't really get warm and there were some cracked tiles and damage to the bottom of the door. Not enough lockers in the changing rooms at the spa.

We have visited the Quay on many occasions , the location is great to walk or catch the train to varying places .We ate in the ebb and Flow Restaurant and the food was excellent , the suite was lovely over looking the estuary

The drinks are very pricey and the fact now you have to pay for the use of the Spa out of the defined times . This visit the cleanliness of the room was not too notch , the coffee table was covered in a thick layer of dust , and the front reception staff and morning breakfast whilst friendly seemed a little under pressure .

Lovely location. Executive room had a fabulous view. The bed was comfortable. Before booking I do feel that customers should be told that hotel guests need to pay for use of the spa between 9am and 5pm. I feel the hotel cost us a lot of money for 5nights and we couldn't use the spa in the afternoon. £25 each to do so is rediculous on top of the cost!

The bedroom was not hoovered during our 5night stay. The day before we left our tea/coffee was not replenished. Not being able to use the spa during the day unless we paid an extra £25 each! The hotel was expensive enough without this extra cost which was not explained prior to booking.

The location was amazing…we chose to overlook the estuary and our balcony view was stunning and very peaceful . The breakfast was great too with lots of choice and quickly served… you could have as much as you wanted all the food was excellent and always served with a smile. First class restaurant . The Spa was also welcoming . We had a massage and a facial both expertly done..very relaxing also used the thermal area .. all very relaxing . Just what we needed

We loved everything about this hotel it was more expensive than some but 100% worth it ! Especially when you don’t have an airport to navigate. I think maybe the view topped it off.

Our room overlooking the castle was excellent and well maintained and the location is fabulous. We had a 2 hour spa slot and though you now have to pay £25 a person if you want to go at a sensible time this was fine and enjoyable. My husband had a massage which he said was very good. With regards to staff everyone at breakfast could take lessons in customer service from the lovely Amanda - she was friendly , cheerful and helpful with a lovely personality. The gentleman in charge at dinner was also very good - I apologise for not having got his name

The system regarding the bar area is a bit awkward - we didn’t feel like we could come down just for a drink before dinner as we normally would due to people wanting to eat in there and felt they would be staring at us waiting for our table. Also regarding the menu in the restaurant we felt that was a bit small - the bar menu looked much interesting - when we have been before it was a lot more varied and there was at least steak on the menu not just as a special
