The breakfast was served in the eighth floor restaurant which has panoramic views as far as the coast. There is also a bar on the same level and an outside balcony, all very modern and agreeable. Plenty of parking on site. Clean and tidy. Fast elevators and wide staircases if you prefer exercise. Neat little reading lights on the headboard in the room. Level three dining area was pleasant and good service.

Booking the main restaurant when reserving a room was not recommended to us. We couldn't book the main restaurant on our first night. Car parking was £12/night extra. Please put a label 'master power AND WATER' on the switch in the bedroom that turns off power AND WATER! Reception did try to warn me but it didn't register. Never come across that before. The bathroom was very nice. But be aware the glass corner wall neatly reveals the person on the throne in silhouette when the bedroom is dark and the bathroom light is on. Designer oopsie!

the facilities and location

paying for car parking. I was asked to pay £12 to park by the receptionist. when I checked the boards outside the next day, this was for 24 hours. there was a rate for 12-18 hours which was £7. I should have paid that!! so I felt I overpaid by £5. it does feel pretty poor having to pay to park!!!!

Extremely comfortable bed and pillows. We didn't hear a thing all night and had a fabulous sleep. Lovely, clean room, good biscuits and tea selection. Staff friendly and very helpful.

Location isn't great but we like the hotel so are prepared to have to drive everywhere. The £12 per night car park charge is unnecessary and feels a bit 'penny pinching' - a quality hotel wouldn't charge their guests extra for parking. What's with the awful smoked glass bathroom wall? Do you think just because it's smoked that you can't see what someone is doing in there? We had a Junior Suite so that my grown up daughter could stay with us - I would have thought, at the very least that the suites would have a solid bathroom wall given that they could have several adult occupants.

staff were wonderful clean comfortable food great

glass wall in bathroom - so bizarre why hotels think this is a good thing! I don’t want to see my hubby on the loo. also every time one of us went to the loo in the night and switched on the bathroom light we woke the other because the bedroom was flooded with light through the glass. wifi wasn’t very good

Location is fantastic, check in and out was great, lovely food and good wine choice, bedrooms very clean and comfortable, all staff where very lovely and professional. Great steak in the downstairs and upstairs resturant.

More coffee, milk and sugar in the room. I tried to order food in the downstair restaurant but couldn't get a seat as there was part blocked off for a business event, I had to wait to eat. In the morning I got to the hot breakfast and there was no bacon, eggs or sausages ready. There was only 1 chef on and he was running around the kitchen desperately trying to keep up with demand but it was clear they need more kitchen staff on in the morning. It was a lot better on days where I went pre-9am

Breakfast was excellent. I am a vegan, so it was great to have plenty of options. Coffee was superb and the restaurant offered a lovely view. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Overall, I cannot fault the breakfast experience

Evening meal menu wasn't vegan friendly. The staff tried to assist as best they could, but there was insufficient availability of alternative vegan choices. As people are increasingly turning towards a vegan diet, I think the hotel should consider substantially increasing the vegan choices on the evening menu, particularly as non-vegans can eat vegan food, people like to try vegan food, even if they don't follow a vegan diet

From the very warm welcome we had on arrival reception staff were very friendly and helpful, to a very comfortable room, and wow breakfast was amazing, a full range of quality food which was delicious and to team it with the amazing view it was the best breakfast i have had. We came back from a show a bit late and as we were a little peckish it was lovely to see a little tuck shop with a small selection of items to snack on. We plan to stay for 2 nights next year and plan to have a meal at The View. Defiantly book direct and get the BONVoy app

Only a few little things that would have made it perfect for me, a few issues with the TV and intermittent turning off, no Wi-fi access , which i would have needed to pay for as i had not booked direct. To have a bit more milk sachets available as 2 is not enough. I had hoped to see some information sheets about the restaurant and the bistro, my be what was available around the area to see.

We were visiting the Westpoint centre, and the hotel was very convenient for that. The hotel was very modern, clean and stylish. Our room was very nice and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast in the top floor restaurant (with great views) was very good. There are electric vehicle charging points available in the car park.

Parking charge is £12 per day - as we were booked for 2 nights, they tried to charge us £24. As we were going to be out most of the time, only coming back to sleep in our room, I objected to being charged that much and managed to get the fee reduced to £12 in total. I think it's a wrong to charge that much as the hotel is not in a built up area, so parking is not exactly at a premium. The square toilet seat in our room was very uncomfortable to sit on!

Very easy to get to, close to M5 and loads of (chargeable) parking. Check in was easy and Teresa was so friendly and happy in her work that it more than compensated for the bad journey. Our room was beautiful, spacious, comfortable and had a lovely view over fields. Most importantly it was quiet. I'd go back there in a heartbeat.

They were very tight with tea and milk. Just two tea bags and two sachets of milk. The WiFi situation is weird. You pay unless you are a member of the Marriott rewards scheme. That's easy enough to join but when you present your membership they secretly log you into the WiFi on one device and don't divulge the password!

The room was excellent. Very clean and tidy with great features. Breakfast was very good and well presented. The View restaurant and bar were very good, especially with the addition of the piano player and violinist. Overall the hotel was very good and would definitely recommend.

The staff seemed as if they weren't happy to be there at times which came across as a little rude. The fact you need to pay for Wi-Fi on top of the room cost and that mobile data is blocked in your room or has very bad signal feels very money-grabbing, especially when cheaper hotels and most places offer this for free. Having access to internet is such a necessity today.
