Amazing hotel. I love the Motel feel; parking the car outside your room makes luggage so easy, and being able to access outside space on a private patio area for every ground floor room is just superb, for the smoker this hotel is a must!! The hotel is spotlessly clean—even the car park was hoovered!! The room was ample, beds very comfortable with duevets, and plenty of pillows. All essentials, including a fridge, tea and coffee, hairdryer, telephone and TV. WiFi is free and very good. It is very quiet, the soundproofing from the busy road is impressive, and the breakfasts were very delicious. Buffet style, but plenty of choice, English, continental, all catered for. 7am to 10am and at all times plenty of food choices, how they keep poached eggs soft is amazing!! The Bar is comfortable, and spacious. The restaurant is so comfortable with a wide range of food available, however would recommend the carvery, sooo good. The conference facility was good, comfortable and the buffet lunch, tea coffee and refreshments were excellent. Reception staff very helpful.

You would have to try very hard to find fault at the hotel, a very well-run establishment.

The breakfast was amazing, really good selection on cold as well as hot cooked food. Beautiful restaurant. Free on site parking. Nice shower and clean room. Thank you Sam, as you were really great assisting my husband with the TV as well as the air con. Lovely little touch with the chocolate on the towels on the bed. Great value for money.

The bedside lamp's globe had blown and could not be replaced immediately. The one bedside light is linked to the ceiling lights. The lighting becomes intrusive, when the other person wants to sleep, as the reading light is not separate from the ceiling lights. The bed seemed small.

Handy location and plenty of parking. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was great with extensive choice of buffet items. I also had fish and chips in the bar for dinner, which was very nice.

Sleep quality: There were 4 LED floorlights on the steps in my room. They flashed once a minute even when switched off - I'm assuming this isn't by design. This is annoying when trying to get to sleep. I worked around by placing the do-not-disturb signs in front of them. Also, the air-con resets to 25 degrees after it has reached the temperature you want (e.g 23), so it's impossible to keep the room cool without continually manually reseting the temperature.

Plenty of free parking; clean and recently refurbished; very friendly and helpful staff. Good choice of hot food for breakfast but a little limited for the continental. Not too far from M5 but it is necessary to drive or take a taxi to the city centre or railway station.

For those with disabilities there is accessible accommodation, for others with heavy luggage it is more of challenge walking the flight of stairs. Our room had all we needed for the night but was very compact, the bathroom especially so. A good place to stopover for a night or so but no one for more than a weekend break.

Lovely warm.and friendly welcome. Ground floor room so very accessible. Not a huge room but we'll designed for rest and/or work. Spacious bathroom with both a bath and shower. Safe. Fridge. Good drinks selection of teas, coffees and hot chocolate and biscuits. Room was clean and smelled wonderful.Great air conditioning. Quiet room so well sound proofed. Bonus of table and chairs outside. Brilliant food for dinner and breakfast. Nice and right volume of music in the restaurant. Also televisions. Sky in bedroom. Plentiful towels. Good bedding and comfy bed. 24 hour room service. 11am checkout time.

Fire door not particularly attractive but not a big deal. Dud not like being told too late to have a pudding and then staff eating puddings in front of us. They were nice but it still grated a bit.

The room was spacious and clean, the walk in shower was lovely and powerful Plenty of choice for breakfast which was very good Dinner was also extremely good and all in pleasant surroundings The bar was well stocked I even found a new gin thanks to the lovely Tuesday she was very helpful ,polite and friendly all in all we had a lovely stay at the Devon .

If I’m being picky then the pillows were too soft for me but you can’t cater to everyone’s choice of pillow Other than that there was nothing I didn’t like

Single room on this occasion facing the back. Quiet, clean and comfortable for a 1 night stay. Did not have breakfast on this occasion. Prior experience- excellent choice Have previously eaten in the restaurant - great choice of meals, the lovely carvery with decent portions Have stayed at this hotel many times over the years in all the room types. Great location for onward travel to Cornwall or if staying around the Exeter area. Decent parking and consistently polite, friendly and welcoming staff.

Nothing- always happy to stay here.

ROOM - fridge was a lovely surprise. BREAKFAST - the porridge was delicious. DINNER - the carvery was excellent value and very tasty. STAFF (RECEPTION) - very helpful, knowlegable, welcoming.

ROOM - steps inside the room took a bit of getting used to. - they were quite steep as well. RESTAURANT STAFF (DINNER) - only one had a smiley face. RESTAURANT STAFF (BREAKFAST) - most, but not all, were friendly and helpful. DINNER MENU - thought rather expensive, and not much choice.

Stayed here for one night with family as a stop over. Have stayed here before. Hotel easy to find with plenty of parking. Staff very helpful. Rooms comfortable with a wonderful walk-in shower! Tea and coffee making facilities and toiletries. Food served in the Brasserie is excellent. Free wi-fi with very good connection. Overall, a very comfortable night and will certainly stay again.

Room didn’t smell particularly fresh and we found some long strands of hair in the bathroom. Access from the hotel to the restaurant difficult for disabled.

The room was clean and well appointed. It was nice to have French windows so we could load the car via them rather than walk around the hotel. If the weather had been warmer the table and chairs outside would have been nice to sit at. We did not eat in the evening but could see the restaurant was popular due to the number of cars parked.

The room could have been warmer. We did report the air con to reception as it did not seem to be working fully. The bathroom had a nice heated towel rail and decent sized shower. There is a lot of building work in the area and on the busy roundabout to access the hotel. Thankfully the rooms have good glazing so we were not aware of any noise which is outside the control of the hotel.
