I notice that any poor reviews here relate to the food, not our experience, but this is the place for reviewing it as a ‘hotel’, restaurant is a different entry. A quintessential English pub that looks as if it dates back centuries with its low beams in the lovely bar/restaurant. Our room was a decent size, immaculately clean with clean bedclothes and towels. Equipped with TV, a/c, WiFi, tea and coffee facilities, bathroom toiletries etc. A very comfortable night. Breakfast was a good selection cooked to choice, full English, scrambled eggs with salmon on toast, eggs benedict etc. Cerals, juice, tea or coffee completed a great start to the day.

all good

I loved the fact the room was on a split level which made it so much more spacious. Although the room was facing an extremely busy road was not disturbed by any road traffic whatsoever... the room was serviced daily left so clean and polished... did not have to book specific times for breakfast therefore no pressure ... vegan breakfast was very good 👍🏽 ample parking ... lovely staff

Had a little four in a bed moment as I found long term dust on the board above the bed and on top of the TV ... all these places were above eye level .... tiles in shower cubicle could do with mould mildew treatment 🤔 but I'm assuming cleaning staff may not be allowed to use certain products due to health and safety.... not sure ...

the room although on the front with main road we did not hear the traffic good glazing and the super king size bed great, room large and spotless, staff really nice and helpful. Although we did not eat our main meals there as we were visiting family, it was always full, that says a lot. will stop here again and bring the family for a meal. thank you for a lovely break.

There was nothing not to like. Oh maybe the trees across the road could be trimmed allowing a better view of the river Fal, but thats to do with the council and not the hotel.

A well maintained traditional style property. Low ceilings in places so 6 footers need to mind their head. The customer service excels at the Inn. All staff, every one of them, were delightful. They were really nice people who smiled and really seemed to care about their guests. Thank you for making our stay a holiday rather than just a visit.

The young lady who welcomed me and looked after me during my stay was wonderful. I wish I could remember her name. The room was great value for money and the secondary glazing kept out the road noise. The added benefit of air conditioning made the room even more comfortable. The food was very good and my only little gripe is the delay I had in getting my dinner.

The evening Supervisor could learn better Customer Service from the young lady who looked after me so wonderfully. And, as a single diner, the very long delay in being served my evening meal was not pleasant.

Perfect location for exploring Cornwall. Loved that it was a traditional Inn… but quiet Very comfortable bed and en-suite facilities. Friendly and kind staff Beautiful breakfast (and evening meals) Plenty of parking

The radiator didn’t work in the bedroom (minor issue as not really necessary while we were staying) Bit disappointed that the room wasn’t serviced during our 3 night stay.

Easy to find, traditional inn with low ceilings and nice 'pub' atmosphere. Accommodation was above the pub but quiet and well appointed. Comfortable bed. Staff were really friendly and helpful, especially in sorting the single EV charging point. Excellent breakfast.

Dinner was average 'pub grub', which contrasted with the excellent breakfast. Ground behind the pub was a bit basic, not helped by the poor weather.

Superb breakfast, beautifully cooked. The room was light, airy, spacious and clean. We stayed when the weather was very hot and really appreciated the air conditioning The staff were very helpful and friendly. A really lovely place to stay

It was on a main road, which we did know, but it wasn't a problem for us and only heard noise if we opened the window.

Despite being on a busy main road it was very quiet during the night. Very comfortable, good food staff where very friendly. Location good to visit places like Falmouth. Would stay there again

Need a more easy TV to use. Took a while to get the right channel even the staff took a while to sort it out. Otherwise everything else was good

Great old style pub, dinner and breakfast was very nice. Warm and welcoming staff who take the time to show you to your room, explaining key things whilst doing so. Room has very large and comfortable.

Would have scored 10, apart from some minor issues, bathroom door, bath grouting and shower head showing ingrained mould, I know very difficult to remove but it does detract from the quality of the room. Internet connection was very slow.
