The hotel is very comfortable. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The quality of food is very high. For an awkward spot in a town with heavy traffic, the parking arrangements seem about as good as can be - I was lucky to be able to put my car in the small hotel car park round the back but I think the hotel has parking permits for a nearby car park. The whole operation is run very efficiently by the hotel and its staff. There is a lift or fairly easy stairs.

I was surprised that, for breakfast, each individual item was separately priced rather than there being a fixed price for breakfast (my booking was for room only not B&B). I have never met this before - it makes breakfast rather expensive. The layout of the hotel means the eating areas get rather mixed up with main entrance, reception and bar - so all very open-plan. This is not a big problem but an eating area that is physically separate might be the ideal - probably not easy due to the structure of the hotel. One has to get used to the hotel corridor lights only coming on when human activity is sensed - can be very dark for a few seconds but good for saving energy.

The restaurant and bar that greets you is lively with great service and even better food. We had breakfast and dinner there and the dishes were superb. Plenty of wonderful vegetarian options for us too. Check-in was a breeze. There was a wedding in the hotel the night we arrived and we were a bit worried about the noise but you couldn't hear a thing up in our room. The bed was comfortable with nice ambient lighting. Shower and bath fantastic and the soaps smelt divine. We made use of the kettle and the reception staff helped us with an ironing board and iron too. There is limited parking on site but parking available access the street in the evening and free all day parking in the Abbey just down the road. Walking distance from the high street a lovely little town to explore.

Shame there was no mini fridge in the room as we had some cut fruit with us which ended up going to waste.

Lovely room which was spotlessly clean and well appointed. Our only minor issue is that there was only one window at one end of the long room, so it felt dark - even on a 28C sunny day. The service is great - lovely friendly, efficient staff - nothing too much trouble. Breakfast was also a suprise - most hotels rip you off for full cooked breakfasts at £15-19 but it was £10.50 and delicious. Maybe it's because there is a lot of competition and many people just go for breakfast? Regardless, the food at dinner and breakfast were top notch.

Parking is limited, being centrally located in the town, so it could be a faff if you don't get one of the 7 spots.

The hotel is in a great position and is beautifully decorated. The staff are all extremely friendly and helpful. We ate breakfast out, but the one evening meal we had was excellent. Our room was beautifully decorated with a great seating area (room 17) It was well stocked with different teas and coffees plus water every day

Nothing we didn't like Be aware that it is a market town near a busy road, so there is a bit of noise in the mornings. This didn't bother us at all. One suggestion could be to have a fridge or the option of a fridge in the room, and more drawers for putting things away, but we were not at all concerned by any of this.

We love staying here and the Beaumont is fast becoming our favourite little bolt-hole when a break is needed The staff are all polite,friendly and professional at all times-its a busy hotel but everyone is calm and service is thoughtful and you never feel rushed or in the way-great if like me you just want to while away and hour over a drink or a book The food is wonerdully prepared and well sourced and the open kitcen is a great feature-lovely black pudding at brekkie! Extensive drinks menu and well priced for a hotel-unlike some where you need a bank loan to buy a drink!-nice range of ales too The rooms are spotless,well-furnished and lovely bed and excellent power shower-the black out curtains are a nice touch Ideal for a wander round Hexham-especially round 10 Green bottles( my favourite shop) Back again soon

Arrival was exciting --- the town was quiet on a Sunday afternoon, except for the Beaumont, which has a lovely front bar-cafe-restaurant, that is always full of locals and guests having a drink and enjoying the view (but not too full for a few more) spilling into the street. From the first moment, we were taken care of, and made to feel welcome and wonderful. The most amazing thing about the Beaumont is the staff, so helpful, friendly, and ready to go the extra mile (e.g. explain the parking again, chat with you about your day, hospitality in general, and so much more). Roger in particular was amazing, seemed to be everywhere all the time. We'll never forget him. The food at breakfast and dinner was excellent --- always high quality and delicious. The location is great, very central, a block from the abbey and the central square.

It's hard to think of anything, maybe the pillows could be softer.

Standard room was big with large comfortable bed for good night’s sleep. Very nicely decorated & in centre of town. Good bathroom. There wasn’t room in the hotel’s car park but we were provided with a card that gave us 2 hrs parking close by. As we arrived at 3pm that was fine until parking became unlimited at 5pm & we were able to stay parked until 11am the next day when we were checking out anyway. Nice dinner in attractive dining room with very pleasant helpful staff.

The whole experience - the hotel was buzzing with happy people both residents and non residents, the members of staff were top notch as was the food, the premises were sparkling clean and well appointed, the location opposite the park was Ideal especially on a very warm break. My request for a quiet table for our evening meals was met to perfection. First rate service all round.

It would have been nice to have a guest lounge, however our room, 23, had a pleasant seating area so that sufficed for our short stay and I appreciate that ground floor space is limited. This did not in any way impact the enjoyment of our stay and we have the hotel on our "visit again" list.

The Beaumont Hexham has a central location with wonderful parks across the road and a short distance to the Abbey. The attentive polite capable staff are very professional and helpful. The rooms are spacious and generously appointed with lift access to the upper floors. The entrance is a wonderful open reception/bar/restaurant with plenty of staff. The bar has a good selection, the Beers are of good well kept quality. Breakfast was a relaxed treat with all you could wish for at a high quality.

Small carpark at the rear was hard to locate and tight to get in to. The hotel is easily missed with the sign only visible on the glass above the main entrance. Disc parking available at the front with limited stay during the day.

Understated elegance in every aspect, and outstanding quality in every aspect as well! Rooms - size, decor, amenities, view, rooftop patio for one of our rooms, both rooms just wonderful! A very nice, new, efficient, quiet, elevator Parking - right in front of the hotel ! Location - across from a beautiful park and close to town center Food - beyond excellent !! Dinner, breakfast, wine list far exceeded expections!! Value for cost: while not , definitely feel like we received extremely high quality service, lodging,, food and drink for the price Owner/Manager Roger - went above and beyond, sharing menu information, wine suggestions, food options for our two 9 year old children The rest of the staff were equally inviting and helpful at all times, from our reception host on 6/15 to the he lady staff member who helped me find more sugar at 0500 on 6/16 to our waitstaff. We stayed in 5 different hotels during our trip to England, all of the same "level", and this hotel far exceeded all others on this trip, and definitely in the top 5 of all hotels in our lifetime travels in terms of the combination of all factors that make a stay pleasant - elegance, quality, amenities, convenience, service. Well done!!
