I have been staying at the Pestana when in London for a few years already. Excellent location, made even more attractive by the nearby development of the Battersea Power Station site (shops, restaurants, bars) and new transportation links (Northern line, riverboat, bus). Also, access to private parking next door. I noted that breakfast has improved since my last visit. Good variety, including hot food. Rates are going up but, overall, it still represents reasonable value for money in central London.

The need for rejuvenation is becoming more urgent. Bathrooms in particular look very dated, with dim lighting . Gym is very small, with limited equipment. Reception staff can occasionally be overwhelmed.

Bed was huge, bath was amazing.

The pool was small and there was not enough loungers once a few couple’s had already claimed them. And the steamroom seems to have seen better days.

5 minute walk from Battersea Power Station, lovely location. Staff were excellent especially bar staff.

No dislikes, just wish it maybe had better in room coffee facilities.

Easy access into and out of London. Great shopping and restaurants close by.

Modern and stylish hotel with good facilities and welcoming staff. We were only in London briefly for an appointment but the staff were accommodating and understanding of our requirements. The reception area and bar was pleasant. The room was spacious and stylish, with an excellent bathroom with both a shower and a bath. There was a good range of television channels in the room including sports channels. Location was excellent for the Chelsea, Kensington and Battersea neighbourhoods. 2 nice parks nearby, and good transport links for buses and trains. Spa and wellness facilities available, although we did not have time to use these.

I liked the easy, stress free check-in, the room size, the bathroom was better than my expectations. Everything was easy.

The overall feeling of the hotel was relaxing. The room is well laid out and clean. The bedding and linen was awesome. There is a spa area which we didn't use but looked very inviting. The restaurant had a great menu & the service was awesome. Mo in the restaurant went over & beyond in his roll with making guests feel very welcome as did the other staff working with him. The convenience to Battersea Park Shopping centre & restaurants , the four mins walk to the bus service & 10mins walk to the train station. The hotel is across the road from a great park, so early morning walks were great.

This is just a suggestion but it would be nice if some of the cleaning staff could acknowledge guest with a good morning, whilst this is nothing huge but would a nice greeting.

Large room, very comfortable bed and crisp luxurious bed linen; bath and shower; very friendly welcome and efficient receptionist; well located. Lovely Christmas festive decor in lobby. Pool.

Luke warm tea and coffee at breakfast. Breakfast was good quality eg decent bacon and sausage quality. However for the price/standard of this hotel, eggs (fried and scrambled) could have been better refreshed through the latter part of breakfast as had cooled and congealed. An earlier check in time or later standard checkout time by just an hour would have meant we would have made use of the pool despite a one night stay, which would have added to the overall experience. Please consider.

Modern hotel with for London spacious rooms for the price. The location is not very central and the access is only convenient by bus. Underground stations (Victoria, Battersea Park) are some walk away. The surrounding with the renovated Battersea Power Plant is very modern with a lot of shops and restaurants nearby. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is as to be expected in such a hotel. The hotel honoured perfectly my wish for a room with certain view and floor.

The second room I had within a few days in the hotel was a bit more worn than the previous one and at the brink of a makeover for the furniture. At breakfast the temperature of hot food and coffee could be a bit higher.

I originally had another hotel booked but im so glad i cancelled and went with this one! We couldn’t fault the staff! They are all so polite and welcoming! I asked them if they could do a little birthday sign for my partner and they went above and beyond! I really appreciate them acknowledging my request! We loved our stay here as our first time to London. The location of the hotel is very, very nice/luxurios! The area where our hotel was is very clean with so much around like shops, resturants, bars etc. The battersea train station is only a 5 minute walk to the hotel. The hotel itself is very clean and lovely to look at. Our room was such a good size although we did book a premium king room! We love how the spa is included in the price of the hotel. We could not fault our stay and we cannot wait to return in the future!

The only few things we didn’t like were the hotel room could do with a freshen up as the interior is a bit out dated and some furniture could do with being replaced. The bed was a little hard but doable! And our window in our bedroom wasn’t very open for the big room we had. We would of loved a big open window to brighten the room and be able to see out of it also. Overall, no other problems! We would still come back.
