Having stayed at the Jewel very recently I had to write a review which I never do for a hotel or restaurant ect.. On early arrival I was welcomed with so much friendliness, I made a request to leave an item which was accepted when the owners had every right to say no to me. Secondly I have to comment on the cleanliness of the hotel it was absolutely spotless, my OCD was in heaven for 20 odd hours. Thirdly I came back in the evening rather intoxicated and accidentally rang the door bell, the owner again was fantastic with me, bless she has a soul of an angel. Lastly after a very peaceful nights sleep I came down early for my breakfast and was served straight away. I left the hotel feeling so joyful and humble, I'm not so usually grateful but give credit when it's deserved. 9/10.

What can I say other than this was a fantastic stay. The room was great, and even in the heat was very comfortable. The standards of cleanliness throughout the establishment were great. The included cooked breakfast was fantastic, with a great selection of cereals available alongside. The staff were very welcoming and all interactions made the stay very easy. The location was fantastic, just a short walk away from everything you'd need in the town, including the Barbican area which has a huge amount on offer. We stayed to see Muse at the Plymouth football stadium and would definitely recommend a stay here for anything similar. The advantage of being able to park outside cannot be understated and made arriving a breeze, and considering the price for the parking was £8, you can't really complain. Especially as the council charge a damn site more themselves.

I could not fault this guest house , it was ideal for me and my son for his cricket tour , they helped in every way with parking , it was very relaxed and easy check in , breakfast was everything you needed , nice and quiet Beds were comfy Shower could do with being a bit more powerful but it done the job I think the owners , Julie and Keith were lovely , would definitely stay or look to stay again if in Plymouth . Nothing not to like tbh

Stayed in the single room. basic decor, nothing fancy but the bed was comfy enough and there was a kettle and water to make tea / instant coffee with a few biscuits as well if you wanted. There was a TV, a sink, a desk with chair and space for hanging clothes with hangers. The heating worked but not required, slept with window open. Room window looked onto front street where my car was parked. The Guest house offered discounted on-street parking which was another plus point £6 from check-in til 10am next morning. This room wasn’t an en-suit (which I was aware of) so toilet/shower was on floor above, this wasn’t a problem for me and the shower was adequate. I ended up extending my stay. Fresh towels provided every day and bed linen changed every day. Full English Breakfast was very good with proper fresh coffee in the pot and nice thick sliced fresh toast. There was also fruit yoghurt and cereal available. The woman running the place serving breakfast and cleaning the rooms etc was very nice, friendly, welcoming and helpful as was another woman I spoke to. It looks like they also offer a discounted price for the Holiday Inn’s fitness suite.

Really nice place to stay. Good location, within walking distance to the sea and all touristy places. Plenty of parking in front which is paid parking. Hosts, and their staff, were super friendly and helpful. Even loaned us a nice big umbrella when it was raining. The bedroom (Number 4) was large with a nice modern en-suite with super fluffy towels. The shower worked great with nice hot water. Nice large flat screen TV can be watched when in bed! The large double bed was very comfy. We slept like babies! There was tea, coffee, milk, biscuits etc with a nice big kettle. Overall a really nice stay which we would highly recommend.

We were met with a very kind host who went above and beyond to make our stay as pleasant and wonderful as it was. Our room was clean, the food was delicious, and we even were made a little breakfast to-go as we had to check out super early to catch our bus. The location is perfect, as you literally walk up the street and are at the ocean or with a couple of steps in the city center! If I ever were to come back to Plymouth, I would stay here again, no doubt!

Owner introduced himself upon arrival, a warm welcome offered and first impression in the hallway was clean and fresh accomodation. Keys handed over swiftly, you can come and go as you please and breakfast times given as 8 to 9.30. Room was for 3 guests and was good, fresh bedding and clean and tidy. Had a good nights sleep after exploring Plymouth, bed was firm and hotel very quiet. Shower and toilet clean. Shower was quite powerful ! Plenty of towels and soap/shampoo/body wash on hand. Breakfast was excellent, cereal, fruit, full English quick and piping hot served with a smile in a pleasant large dining room. Parking permits were available (£16 a day out on the street) but Hotel will offer you these for £8 a day - half price ! Great location, great B&B, would use again absolutely !

Hotel owner offered a return discount if we book with him directly next time which was a good offer, it's all about the price and if I can get some pennies off then all the better ! I couldnt fault our stay, it was 2 adults and my 17 year old. Keith (the owner) offers a single room for £59 which is good if you are on your own.

It was all very organised, the room was excellent, we had a twin room with an ensuite. We booked this on our was to Plymouth and was pleasantly surprised how close to the sea we was. The breakfast was one of the best I've ever had, with amazing service from Mr Jewell all round was absolutely fantastic and me and my sister highly recommend it. We also loved the decor 😍

There genuinely wasn't anything we didn't like about this place 10/10

Friendly and helpful staff, clean and tidy room full of amenities and fresh towels, comfortable bed and generally a cosy atmosphere in the whole place. Had a shared bathroom which was clean, and the shower was warm with great water pressure. Breakfast was quick and tasty, cooking whatever I requested (within reason). Could not fault any part of my stay other than the shared bathroom was the top floor and I was two floors below, but not an issue in my opinion.

The breakfasr was lovely and you could helpyourself to coffee and fruit juice. we asked for a second pot of tea and that was swiftly brought out to us. You also could help yourself to yoghurt and fruit. i would stay again so it must have been good. within easy walk of the Hoe and Barbican where we met up with our children for a birthday meal.

Lots of stairs, but we had not stated i have a disability. Also you need to pay for parking but as i have a blue badge we did not have to.
