Well appointed room overlooking the internal reception/restaurant atrium area. The bed was very comfortable and despite overlooking this busy area, the room was very quiet, so the sound insulation was excellent. We ate our evening meal in the restaurant and the quality of the food was very good. There was a wide choice at the breakfast buffet. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was a free electric charger for our EV and the location was good just off the M27 with plenty of parking once our vehicle had charged.

Overlooking the internal atrium meant there was little natural light in our room.

Everything very clean and tidy. bed made and refreshment replenished each day of stay.

I opted for the greener way to use the same towel for two days but there was nowhere to air it after showering. the towel rail was not adequate as the bath towel needed to be folded to fit which would have left it damp on reuse. Also, condensation dripped from the canopy above the self serve coffee machines onto my clothes staining them. I’m not particularly bothered about my relatively inexpensive T-shirt but other guests may. These are my observations and not complaints.

We had a room overlooking the internal atrium. As a result there was no natural light. For privacy, we had to keep the curtains closed and have the room lights on. This was not a comfortable light to be in and you felt you were in the dark. You had no idea what the weather outside was doing! Another time I would request a room with an outside facing window.

Just returned from a one night stay as a stop over before a long journey to Manchester after travelling from France. We had 2 dogs with us and the hotel was extremely dog friendly. This has been the only hotel that the dogs were allowed to go in the restaurant for breakfast. Very accommodating. The room was lovely overlooking the bar. Really happy I found this hotel as this will ne our go to place in the future. The beds were very comfortable and the room had everything you could need. Thank you Marriot, we will definately be back.

Unfortunately the swimming pool wasn't in use. I did think that price for the dogs to stay was too much. I was a bit shocked that it was £60 for 2 dogs in one room. 😳

Very nice room, comfortable beds and really nice linen. Room was clean and bright even though the window overlooked the Atrium area of the hotel, parking was easy and plentiful and can access most of the city within 10/15 minutes.

When booking the restaurant make sure you do that directly with the restaurant and not reception. We booked with reception but when we turned up we had no reservation but the restaurant staff sorted out the problem and got us a table even though they were busy.

Breakfast was lovely, although some of the staff are less than attentive.

I didn't appreciate the fact that the staff failed to note that I had paid for the car park. I was chased by emails and post by your aggressive car park company and ended up paying a fine because I could prove that my room included car parking but I couldn't prove that I paid for it. Utter nonsense. I expect better from a Marriott!

Loved the fact we could charge the car and the location is just 8 minutes from the ferry for the next day. Breakfast was excellent, great choice and quality. The bed was wonderful, so comfortable and huge. Enjoyed the evening meal, not a huge choice but what we had was lovely, staff not available enough at that time in the evening 9pm - 10pm meant you could miss being able to order what you wanted. We had to go to the bar as the waitress was not available and then was charged a service charge fee for using the bar - not happy with that.

Was very, very disappointed at the charge of £30 which you don't find out until you get there, to have a pet. Was told its a flat rate so you could have 4 dogs and pay the same price. Surely it would be much fairer to charge per dog, most people do not have more than 1 dog and I expect it would be the exception to have 4! The most we have ever paid before is £10 per dog, that is throughout the UK and Spain, we only have 1 dog. I find £30 excessive, nothing is provided for the pet it is only in the room.

Great staff, Asian lady checked me in service with a smile very efficient. Manager in a white blouse kindly provided us with extra washes, made us feel so welcome. Great facilities in the gym. Good selection of hot food.

Iron in room leaked when adding water, health and safety should of been checked before hand. However this was quickly rectified by reception. Coffee and tea at breakfast only filter available was disappointing as the basic of travel lodge, ibis hotel provide machine coffee as part of breakfast. Slightly put of by manager in charge of breakfast not as friendly when asked about machine coffee. Great service by all staff otherwise. Strong smell from towels of vinegar. Unsure if this is an antibacterial solution used to wash. Just found it rather strange Lastly I have an electric car. Only 2 ports available used by the same cars for over 24hours. Found this little selfish, hotel should keep a timing of 3 hours max per car.

very clean stuff are very friendly and helpful especially Megan , Cassie on reception . also Jade and Jadoor from the restaurant there very friendly and welcoming .

some stuff in the Restarunt where not so friendly and the fact that the hotel is so big and yet the swimming pool is still closed is so unfair especially when most people who book this hotel have kids and the garden isn’t kid friendly . the hotel could do be more family friendly . kids where just board . their breakfast isn’t so nice they should have more variety everyday than having the same thing all over again .

Good traditional English breakfast, with a very good selection. Rooms were very clean and good sized. Only stayed for 1 night, but all 3 generations of the family enjoyed the stay.

Not a cheap hotel and yet everything seems built to charge you extra. Car park seemed free in the booking, but then woke up with a charge (small, but unexpected). WI-FI is only free if a member of Marriott website, but comes across as eager to charge a daily rate when you login.
