Had a brilliant stay at the Norfolk Arms. It is so well positioned - close to Sheffield should you need any of the larger stores, and just down the road from the beauty of the peaks, with so much to explore. The staff were all so friendly and nothing was too much for them. The room was a great size for a standard double, and the bed was very comfortable! Food at the bar downstairs was delicious, and staff were amazing at making sure to take care with my severe nut allergy. All in all, a fabulous short break away, and I will definitely be back should I be in the area again!

This is a comfortable property with very nice rooms (or at least ours was) but the most impressive thing was the unfailingly cheerful, helpful and polite staff - right throughout the property, restaurant and bar.

it’s a bit hard to judge fairly as there’s some building work going on at the moment which impedes the view a little and gets going outside the room windows at around 9:00 am. Aside from that, my only note would be that our rom was pedestal bath only (with a hand-held shower extension) which might not suit everyone. It was fine for us.

Attended the Norfolk Arms for a retirement party and booked a room to stay over. Our stay at the Norfolk Arms was amazing, staff were very warm and welcoming, food is to a high standard and delicious. The bedroom was nice and spacious with a beautiful view from the window. Very comfortable bed slept very well. Breakfast there was a varied menu, English breakfast was delicious and filling. Would highly recommend anyone to stay, we will definitely go back and visit again.

The staff were absolutely fabulous, really helpful, efficient and kind. Best advert for the hotel! Rooms were good size and it was a brilliant location for a family wedding at Whirlowbrook Hall.

It would be really helpful to note to guests that the pub hosts parties. The party on Saturday went on till 1am and was extremely loud outside our bedroom window. It was impossible to sleep till they'd gone. Appreciate you need to make money on parties but maybe a better balance with ensuring guests have rest.

The Norfolk Arms is an ideal place to stay. Fifteen minutes drive to City Centre, twenty minutes drive to Chatsworth House and in a lovely location with far reaching views. The staff are all extremely friendly, rooms are spacious and there is a great atmosphere in the restaurant. After a long day out it's great to have a drink in the garden to admire the view. Our only problem is they are so busy you have to book way ahead to get a room, not a bad problem for the hotel though!

Very spacious, ground floor room in the Mews, with pleasant view. Small sofa and armchair provided. Huge comfy bed, plenty of pillows. Good bathroom, big shower. Private outdoor table and chairs provided next to room, which is a nice touch - albeit no good for us as it was snowing! Staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Food was great (although not massive), with nice range of menu choices, including veggies/vegan, and also a canine menu for furry friends.

Room had a lovely view. Staff was friendly and accommodating in all aspects. There is a bustling restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner downstairs and every meal was amazing--some of the best food we had on our trip. We especially loved the steak and ale pie, yorkshire pudding, and nachos. Room had everything we needed and was very peaceful--you could not hear the restaurant below! Lots of footpaths/walking trails around this area for on foot adventures.

The Norfolk Arms is right on the edge of the Peak District & offers glorious stunning views all round, only a short drive into Sheffield. It is a stunning hotel, great choice of local ales, restaurant offers a very nice menu, lovely atmosphere in the bar, restaurant & gardens, lots of walkers, cyclists & families, very much a hub of the area with plenty of parking! The staff were really welcoming, we booked four double rooms & all our the hotel rooms were extremely clean & comfortable, all of us would recommend a full English Breakfast (vegetarian full English too) it certainly set everyone up for their drive home on Sunday, breakfast is an additional cost but it was delicious. We would all recommend the hotel & we have already booked our rooms for our return visit in November looking forward to another enjoyable stay.

The hotel is surrounded by countryside but in good striking distance to Sheffield. There is plenty of parking and our rooms were large, clean and quiet. Having stayed in the Sheffield area a few times, this hotel definitely exceeding expectations.

We arrived on Saturday evening, the facility was very busy but there was no one at reception and ringing the bell didn't attract any attention so we had to seek out help from the bar staff who failed to raise a smile. To be 'picky', and note that I will use this hotel again, the small TV in 'my' room was fixed to the wall and only viewable from the bed (not the table area) and the mattress on the squeaky bed got 'hot'.

Booked this place to stay with a friend, it was within budget and close to our planned trips around the peak district. Had no idea how pretty the pub was and how picturesque the sett8ng would be. I chose an extra large bed and it was huge and so comfortable. Smart TV in the room, lovely view out the window and a really good shower. Only thing I would have improved upon would be a few more coffees sachets and some biscuits to go with. Had dinner the night before our stay which was excellent value and delicious and also had breakfast on checkout which was again fantastic. My friend and I agreed we would both defo stay here again.
