Wow wow and wow, what an outstanding guesthouse, and Stuart is a fantastic host. What a stunning and well-presented place to stay between the Castle and the Wallace monument. 10 out of 10 the guesthouse is absolutely beautiful, cozy, friendly, very clean & modern and also nicely decorated. Our room was cozy with beautiful modern Ensuite. The breakfast was out of this world, you had a choice of: homemade bread & Scones (it smelt beautiful when you were baking 😉) yoghurts, fresh fruit, jams and much more to a complete Scottish breakfast; all it is cooked in the morning with a order. Getting into town is very convenient as well. It costs around £5 to get into the town centre from Ravenswood Guest House by cab. Otherwise there are plenty of busses on the same street, which is £2.25 for a single ticket. You can also walk. We can't recommend this place highly enough. 5 Stars isn't enough to rate this wonderful Guest House. We must say, that Stuart is very attentive, seeming we had an early flight he made us both a packed lunch to take with us 😊 Thankyou Stuart for the great hospitality, big hugs from Germany Anastasija & Rima

Stuart is a friendly and helpful host and excellent cook as well. It was a nice change for us to stay in a B&B instead of our own self-catering apartment. We enjoyed the wonderful custom hot breakfasts including Stuart’s own delicious brown bread and he provided a wealth of helpful local information to enhance our stay. We’re road cyclists and he’s a cyclist too and recommended a very special ride to us that was beautiful and memorable. It’s a healthy but pleasant walk (about 1.6 km to the center of town) but there is a bus stop nearby and there is paid public parking in town closer to Stirling Castle if you have a vehicle. The Wallace National Monument is near to the Ravenswood Guest House too. Our room had a comfortable bed and en suite bathroom and Smart TV and good Wifi and I’m the hallway there was a shared refrigerator where you could store drinks and snacks or donate to take one of the provided drinks already in the refrigerator.

If you have any mobility issues, note that the rooms are one flight up from the entrance and dining room. Stuart helped us carry our luggage upstairs which was greatly appreciated.

Stuart is such a nice warm, friendly and helpful guy. We immediately felt at home. Never got tired of our many questions for tips and directions and gave us quite a few good ones as well. Made restaurant reservations for us, made sure our chocolates were refilled in the room each day and even made a very early breakfast for us on the day we left. He goes all the way to make you feel most welcome. Breakfast is all you can imagine and his home baked brown bread is delicious! The rooms are beautifully decorated, spacious and spotless clean.

Absolutely nothing!

We were in Scotland for nearly a month and this was my favorite stay. Stuart made every effort to attend to needs which is particularly appreciated with we older travelers. The guest house is conveniently located, beautifully decorated and maintained. Stuart advised us on restaurants and scenic areas, was fun, open and kind. You just couldn't ask for a better host, cooking delicious breakfasts each day we were there, even serving us in our room when my husband wasn't feeling well enough to come to the dining table

Just the bedside lamps. I like brighter higher lamps for reading. A small thing.

The guesthouse was perfect for my two night stay in Stirling. Stuart, the owner, made me feel super welcome. It was like staying with an old friend. The rooms were comfortable and clean, the beds were extremely comfy - I had two of the longest sleeps I've had for quite a while!! Stuart recommendations for local places to eat were spot on too (If you go tot he Birds and Bees, be sure to book as it was super busy). The breakfasts were lovely, I had the Wee Scottish one morning and Scrambled eggs the other - both were made with high quality local ingredients and felt very indulgent. Parking was easy and onsite, walking distance to Wallace Monument, Stirling centre, and the university as well as a couple of places to eat. As a single female traveller I felt really safe in the area too. If I visit Stirling again I wouldn't think twice about staying here again.

Stuart kept in touch from the start until we arrived, this is very important. He was there to host, welcome and advise us, our room was ready, comfortable and very clean. He has a very simple but good system in place for keys and breakfast. The choice for breakfast was superb, we ordered a cooked breakfast for both mornings which was also superb. Very well cooked and presented and tasted lovely, nothing was a hassle. We would highly recommend this B&B you will not be disappointed.

beautiful house, great breakfast, very neat and clean room, a fridge is available on the floor for all guests, brilliant idea, Stuart is amazing he managed to satisfy every request. The location is great for visiting both the centre of Stirling and other places. Great mattresses worthy of a king, highly recommended also parking in front of the house was very handy, quiet location and close to several restaurants/pubs

Super location for access to town and major transport routes. The accommodation was very clean, excellent breakfast choices and a range of drinks in the bedroom. My husband really appreciated the caramel wafers and Tunnock's snowballs! A fridge for use on the landing was brilliant, particularly as we prefer real milk to long life milk in sachets. Stuart was the most helpful and informative host we have ever met. A very lengthy message soon after booking describing tourist tips and restaurants nearby, a map on arrival and advice about specific shops whilst we were there.

The sink in the ensuite was a bit high for me - being vertically challenged!

Firstly, we asked to arrive earlier than the official check-in time which was accommodated without any issue. Stuart warmly welcomed us and took us to our room which was lovely, comfortable and clean. He helps us with directions as we headed out and we next saw him at breakfast which was lovely. As well as the pre-ordered cooked breakfast, there was continental set up to help yourself to and lovely little touches like little pots of fresh raspberries and strawberries. We had been to see Texas in concert the evening before and Stuart had their music playing in the background during breakfast. He couldn't have done more.

Nothing.

Great location close to town centre, local pub The William Wallace and Bird and Bees restaurant all in walking distance from the property. Room and ensuite facilities with large shower were good and cleaned to a high standard. In our double room space was tight around the bed to walk around and we found bathroom sink a little on the small side as having to stretch to reach over when brushing teeth. The deep mattress was so comfortable. Lovely home made cooked breakfast and plenty of choice available. Freshly baked bread was amazing. Stuart was a very welcoming host and offered lots of information on places to go for a visit.

The only negative was the extreme heat during our stay and not able to open the bedroom window any further.. fan provided in the room was a bonus.
